Chapitre 2: Transmigrated To Another World (Part 2)

Everyone wanted to become famous overnight and see their names linked to a series of hit shows.

The original person was a young man who entered the industry with a dream of becoming a screenwriter.

However, unlike Im Giseok's success as a screenwriter, the original owner of this body's screenwriting career was full of ups and downs.

Although he had formal training, after graduating, he moved from one production team to another, working as an assistant for four whole years.

It wasn't until his senior helped him that he got his first credited script for <<Fate's Fickle Flame>>.

Im Giseok frowned when he saw this title.

He always believed that a title should be straightforward and, if possible, summarize part of the story.

No need for fancy, confusing names.

Fate's Fickle Flame?

Anyone would be puzzled by that title.

If it were up to Im Giseok, he would have rejected such a nonsensical title right away.

However, <<Fate's Fickle Flame>> was the key show that the K-Drama Network was heavily investing in this year.

K-Drama Network not only paid a high price to hire popular young stars, but they also brought in a team of screenwriters, aiming to have a big showdown with their competitor, Epic Drama Network, during the summer season.

<<Fate's Fickle Flame>> alone had a production budget of several hundred million.

Im Giseok recalled all this and was amazed.

In all his years as a screenwriter, only one or two shows had a bigger budget than <<Fate's Fickle Flame>>.

Looking at the cast and crew, it was clear how much hope K-Drama Network had for this show.

K-Drama Network did put in a lot of effort, but <<Fate's Fickle Flame>> ended up being a complete disaster, with ratings so low it almost destroyed K-Drama Network's reputation.

Forget about competing with Epic Drama Network— <<Fate's Fickle Flame>> didn't even reach K-Drama Network's lowest ratings record.

K-Drama Network's lowest ratings before this were 0.302, but after the first few episodes, the ratings for <<Fate's Fickle Flame>> stayed below 0.2.

This was the first time something like this had happened since the K-Drama Network was founded, and everyone at the TV station was in shock.

The low ratings were bad enough, but K-Drama Network's stock price also dropped a lot because of this.

<<Fate's Fickle Flame>> was even nicknamed <<Fate's Fizzle Out>> by their rival company.

And following the usual pattern of novels on the internet, the screenwriter for that bad series called <<Fate's Fickle Flame>> was, of course, the original owner of this body whose Im Giseok now inhabited.

...

As Im Giseok thought about the original owner of this body's situation, he felt more and more sympathy.

<<Fate's Fickle Flame>> was clearly a major show that the TV station was heavily promoting, but what did it have to do with a third-rate part time screenwriter like the original owner of this body?

Even if the show completely flopped, Im Giseok shouldn't have been the one who took the blame.
