Chapitre 46: Green Eggs And Babies
I am in a laboratory where I have set up a very secure and defended facility to hatch what I hope doesn't turn into a Xenomorph or something worse if that is even possible.
Rio: "Okay Clone it is now up to you to hatch the egg."
Clone: "Ugh, why did it have to be me? If I get a face hugger laying an egg in me I will make sure I transfer every possible second of my death in excruciating detail."
Rio: "Don't worry, it is maybe not a Xenomorph, possibly, I won't guarantee it. Now go on and hatch it."
The Clone enters the heavily fortified test room and pulls the Slimy Green Egg from the inventory. The room is reinforced with both bulletproof metals but also numerous barrier spells. I make sure the doors are secure and watch with bated breath to see what comes out of the egg. The egg cracks and hatches.
'Well, it hasn't immediately tried to attack the clone so that's good. Hmm, my clone also hasn't freaked out. Let's see what observe has to say.'

This creature is a newly born Changeling Queen. Requires love to fully mature. Will imprint on the first face it sees after hatching. Once fully matured can take on the form of any creature and use their natural abilities. Can also feed off the love of other beings to increase its power. Has a subtle mental scan that can allow the Queen to more easily act as the replacement. Only has to mate once to produce endless offspring.]
'That sounds like the Changeling species from where my species comes from. If it is it could be a massive boon for my empire. A perfect infiltration and espionage species loyal to me. I just need to raise the Queen correctly, I think it is only fitting I name her in honor of the first Changeling.'
I wait for a few minutes before having the Clone dispel and I walk in.
Rio: "Well hello little one. I will name you Chrysalis in honor of the first Changeling."
Chrysalis: "Chirp."
Rio: "Ahh, you are such a cute little larva. I will need to do some tests to make sure you are healthy."
I run a few tests on various things to ensure her safety as well as the planets. I didn't want to risk her not being able to handle Earth's atmosphere of her carrying a pathogen I am immune to but Humans wouldn't be. I see no issues on any of the tests besides me having to buy a spell that can feed love energy to her. I feed her before I start heading home.
Rio: "Now let's get out of this dreary lab and I will take you home. I think you will like your new family. Your brother can be a bit clumsy but I think you two will still get along fine."
Chrysalis: "Chirp. Yawn."
Rio: "I see you are sleepy. Just go to sleep and when you wake up I will have your room ready for you."
As Chrysalis goes to sleep I teleport home and create a crib to place her in before I head to a room next to mine where I start building a perfect room for her. As I am building the room Lucario comes up behind me.
Lucario: "What are you doing?"
Rio: "I am making a room for your sister."
Lucario: "Oh okay. Wait what? I have a sister, since when?"
Rio: "Since 30 minutes ago."
Lucario: "Wait does that mean I have a stepmom now? Who is it and why didn't you tell me?"
Rio: "Hahaha, no you don't have a stepmom. Your sister was hatched from an egg. Unlike you, she will need to be cared for by me as she isn't a Pokemon. She is a larva right now and I am the only one who can feed her so I will be busy taking care of her for the next however long it takes until she can feed on her own."
Lucario: "Oh really she hatched from an egg, is not a Pokemon, and is also a larva. You didn't find this egg in space did you?"
Rio: "What? Of course not. I got the egg from the Gacha."
Lucario: "And you are certain it is safe?"
Rio: "Yes she is safe to be around. You are now a big brother so you better be nice to her or else. You are already sort of considered an adult at this point so you have to be a good role model for her."
I give him a very serious stare.
Rio: "I mean it when I say you have to be a good role model. If I learn you taught her something bad I will make you regret it."
Lucario raises his paws and looks a bit scared.
Lucario: "I promise to be the best role model. I will be on my best behavior around her. Can I meet her?"
Rio: "That's all I want and yes you can meet her but only in a minute I need to finish setting up this room."
It takes a few more minutes to finish the room and then I take Lucario to meet his new sister.
Rio: "Now be quiet as I can sense she is still asleep."
Lucario makes a gesture of sealing his lips before we enter. I just give him a nod and we walk in to look at the sleeping grub. I see Lucario is surprised by her appearance at first but seems to accept it fairly quickly. We watch her sleep for a bit before I sense she is waking up. When she wakes up she looks at me and smiles.
Chrysalis: "Chirp."
Rio: "Ahhhh, isn't she just adorable?"
Lucario: "I suppose she is."
Rio: "Chrysalis I want to meet your brother."
Lucario: "Hi Chrysalis my name is Lucario."
Chrysalis: "Chirp."
I pick up Chrysalis and start heading to her room. I also sent Lucario to go fetch everyone so I can introduce Chrysalis to everyone. Once I get to her room I show her around. As I am playing with Chrysalis I sense several beings approaching. Someone knocks and I tell them to come in.
Sebas: "Pardon my intrusion."
Rio: "You are fine I called all of you here to meet my new child."
Yang: "So can you Alicorns just lay new eggs like birds even as males or did you end up doing the deed and now you have a child."
Sebas smacks Yang in the head and glares at her.
Sebas: "There is a child present and your question was rude Ms. Xiao Long."
Yang rubs her head and apologizes.
Gardevoir: "Can I see the baby?"
Rio: "Sure, come take a look."
Gardevoir comes over slowly and watches as Chrysalis hides behind my arm and looks out at the new stranger.
Gardevoir: "Hello little one my name is Gardevoir. It's nice to meet you."
Rio: "It's alright Chrysalis she's a friend."
Chrysalis slowly comes out from behind my arm and chirps at Gardevoir before retreating back to behind my arm.
Rio: "Hahaha, I think she says hello."
Several others introduce themselves to Chrysalis and after a while, the ones not in the mansion show up.
Lex: "Sorry it took me and Orochimaru so long to get here, traffic was backed up due to an accident."
Seto: "Same here."
Rio: "You aren't late Chrysalis is still here and will be here for many centuries to come."
Lex: "So how long will she live?"
Rio: "I am not entirely sure but most likely forever or at least unless something happens. She is a royal Changeling so she is a progenitor of sorts and not to mention I have numerous ways to make someone immortal."
Orochimaru: "Don't take this the wrong way but could I do some tests on her at a later date? Nothing dangerous just to learn more about her species."
Rio: "Maybe when she is older but not anytime soon. Also when the time comes I want to be there. I trust you but she is my first daughter and as such I have to ensure her safety."
Everyone save those in Sanctuary, the Senators, Paarthunax, Tails, Widowmaker, and Faraday came to introduce themselves to Chrysalis. Even Renamon showed up and was surprisingly careful and kind with Chrysalis. I was going to have the others meet Chrysalis later when she is able to travel. Once everyone was done chatting we decided to have a meeting after I put Chrysalis to bed.
Rio: "Okay so since everyone is here or connected let's discuss some future actions shall we?"
Everyone nods.
Rio: "Good the first item I want to talk about is something I have been planning for months now. Operation Swiper."
Lex: "I thought we were going to put it off for likely 2008 or later. What changed?"
Rio: "We were but that changed with the most recent finding Tex has obtained. Tex show them."
A massive Hologram turns on in the middle of the meeting room and what everyone sees makes everyone feel scared and a bit worried.
Rio: "What everyone is seeing is the entire Covenant fleet. We discovered them from a distance and now have exact details of their heading and even more importantly their exact numbers. They have 314 ships of which every single one is over 1000 Meters in length. Tex and I have run the numbers and we can expect around 1.75 Million ground soldiers, over 21 thousand starfighters, and many thousands of ground vehicles. We have further calculated the time it will take for them to discover Earth. We have an estimated 1 Year and 5 Months before they have a near 100% chance of locating Earth."
Lex: "How prepared are we now for fighting them?"
Tex: "We have retrofitted all 200 Dreadnought-Class Heavy Cruisers. We also now have 3 Lucrehulk-Class Battleships and a Subjucator if it comes down to that. We have begun production of 10 Providence Class Dreadnoughts but they are expected to be finished in 6 Months. After that, the plans are to produce as many Munificent-Class Frigates as we can before we have to begin Operation Fallen Star."
Rio: "Best case scenario we are looking at us having 11 Months before we have to begin Operation Fallen Star. Before any of you ask the reason is because anything past 11 Months has a dangerously high level of risk of failing. We expect the Covenant will not attack immediately and it instead likely take a week or more before they move into the trap. 11 Months from now they will be in a position close to our trap and also within the range of 20% and higher chance of discovering Earth. 1 Year and 5 Months is the best-case scenario for us. More likely they will discover us as early as 13 Months from now."
Everyone grimaces at the news.
Lex: "I assume that is why we have to go through with Operation Swiper so much earlier."
Rio: "Yes we will need every advantage we can get. Especially since we will have to build 5 bases for Operation Fallen Star. So as I was saying we will be stretched thin and if the Covenant discovers Earth then our trap is almost guaranteed to fail, simply put Earth is a much easier target than the trap we are setting."
Seto: "What is the best-case scenario of the forces we can acquire by the deadline you set?"
Tex: "All 10 Providences, 60 Munificents, and 3000 Additional Vulture Droids. We also might be able to produce 1 Million Undead soldiers, 100k Assaultrons, and roughly 2.5 Million Battle Droids."
Lex: "So we could have over double their ground numbers? Shouldn't that be enough?"
Tex: "Negative, Most Droids and Undead are far less effective than trained organic soldiers. The Undead will be mostly out-range and while we will be defending the Covenant excels in ground combat. They will have shields our forces won't, they will use cover we won't. Droids and Undead excel in large open battlefields where they have to just march and attack the enemy. Also, we will have no Air Superiority."
Rio: "I also won't be able to help on the ground at all as I will be using Battle Meditation to weaken the enemy's fleet. While I am doing so I can't be distracted as I will have my senses so spread thin as it is. I will only have 2 clones made and both will be flying starfighters. Tex will be unable to assist either as he will be coordinating the entire fleet."
Faraday: "So we need to prioritize specific technologies and put several projects on hold for now."
Rio: "Exactly, Lex you will be focusing on only the new reactor technology. The personal shields will have to be good enough for now. You can bring in Otto Octavius to do some of the project's needs. Tails and Faraday you will be doing the same. Gardevoir and Milotic you will be assisting in the construction of the fleet. I will give Milotic the Mind Plate that will give her Omega Level Psychic powers temporarily. Sebas and Marceline will be helping in the construction of the five bases, I want you to focus on the construction of the 4 forward bases as they are the most important. Monika and Seto will be in charge of running all Earth-based affairs with me. Renamon and Mal0 will be in charge of intelligence gathering and maybe a protection mission or two. Orochimaru and Curie you will prioritize getting the Spartan Program fully operational and hopefully producing some Spartans before the deadline. If we get more summons I will assign them to where they need to go. Any questions or complaints?"
Lucario: "Yes what will I be doing?"
Rio: "You will be assisting everyone whenever they need an extra hand. You will start with the base construction."
Lucario: "Okay."
Rio: "Now the next order of business is Operation Swiper. Does everyone know what it is?"
I see some shake their heads so I explain what it is.
Rio: "Operation Swiper was conceived as a way to prevent the world from wiping itself out in a panic if an Alien invasion occurs. The plan is simpler now as I can create Shadow Clones that can use my inventory. The plan is simple I locate all Nuclear Weapons on Earth and I steal them all. There are around 30,000 Nukes on Earth and I intend on using them as mines and missiles against the Covenant."
Yang: "How are you going to find them and even further steal them all?"
Rio: "I can use my Palantir to find them then I just use Gate to get near them and store them in my inventory. They won't see anything but a black portal and a hand sticking out of it. With my Shadow Clones, I can do so thousands of times before anyone can even react."
Gardevoir: "Won't they just make more?"
Rio: "They could but they would have to spend an enormous amount of money as they have to be extremely secretive about it. Producing more Nuclear weapons is illegal. Most of the countries will suspect each other of doing it and as such will never say a thing about it. Unless an idiot who blabs about secrets is elected in any of the countries. Most countries would thus spend Millions probably Billions into figuring out what happened. The US and Russia don't even trust Shield enough to tell them about the incident. Shield will never speak about it since it would make them look like they failed."
Lex: "The reason we were going to delay doing it is the chaos caused could be difficult for us to profit from and it would also draw a lot of attention if we aren't careful. The other reason was we didn't need the Nukes immediately so it made more sense to let the current holders upgrade and maintain them for us."
Tex: "Yes but we cannot delay as we will have to modify most of the Nuclear Weapons to be capable of what we need them to do."
Rio: "Which will cost us more manpower and likely reduce the amount of ships we can produce. This is why I want you to finish the Providences and then work on the Nukes before starting on the Munificents. I know it will reduce the number of ships but the Nukes will be more valuable anyways. I also need you to make a Slipspace Bomb for Operation Uppercut. Luckily it shouldn't take too long to make the bomb."
Tex: "Yes Commander."
Rio: "I will also be helping wherever I can. I am currently working on refining the Ground to Space cannons schematics. Next on the list is who should get the Eternal Life from Xerneas."
Lex: "I would like to elect myself or if not me then Tails."
Rio: "Really? Why those choices?"
Lex: "I want to live forever and I think Tails can provide much to everyone if he can live forever."
Rio: "Does Anyone have other suggestions?"
We discuss more and in the end, only 3 individuals are suggested. Tails, Lex, and Gardevoir. Most of the females voted for Gardevoir and Lex got most of the male votes. Tails got 2 votes as he said he wasn't all that interested in Immortality. Lex and Gardevoir were tied so Tails decided to drop out which didn't solve anything as the vote became tied again. I didn't vote as my vote could sway many. It was decided to let Epona and the Dryad vote which again didn't solve anything so I decided to let Xerneas be the deciding vote. Xerneas decided to give Eternal Life to Lex but talked with Gardevoir about something after the gift was given. Once that was done we all went our separate ways to start on our respective missions.

This was a long chapter but I wanted to use the Slimy Green Egg and also show off the big enemy of the first part of this story.
