Chapitre 233: Chapter 233: The Aerodactyl Who Surrenders Completely

After a brief treatment for Aerodactyl, Ash asked Charizard to pick it up and return to the Laboratory. He hadn't expected to battle and didn't have any medicine with him. Even the medicine for Aerodactyl was a simple concoction made from tree fruits.

Aerodactyl's current injury required proper treatment back at the Laboratory to avoid any lasting effects.

"It's amazing, Ash! You and Charizard truly opened my eyes," Professor Oak praised Ash and Charizard on the way back.

"It's all Charizard's own effort," Ash shook his head modestly.

While Charizard's power was due to the Sun God's inheritance, its own hard work also played a significant role. Ash's training only served to assist Charizard's growth.

"Roar!" Charizard, however, disagreed with Ash's words, believing its achievements were thanks to Ash's guidance.

"You see, Charizard thinks it's your credit, so don't be humble," Professor Oak said, pleased with Ash's modesty and lack of arrogance despite his increased strength.

"I heard from Misty that your Pikachu also has a move called Summon Thunder, comparable to the Golden Flame Cannon. If you have a chance in the future, you must let me see it," Professor Oak said, expressing interest in Thunderbolt after witnessing the power of the Golden Flame Cannon.

Professor Oak didn't inquire about the training methods for Golden Flame Cannon and Summon Thunder, understanding that moves involving laws and powers couldn't be learned through mere effort.

For example, legendary Pokémon's signature moves, like Lugia's Aeroblast, were not something ordinary Pokémon could learn, as they involved Lugia's mastery of the Flying-type law.

While ordinary trainers might not know this, Professor Oak, with his deeper understanding of Pokémon and the world, recognized these truths.

Back at the Laboratory, Professor Oak went to the research room to analyze what he'd witnessed. Although he hadn't asked Ash for details, he could rely on his observations to gain further insights.

Meanwhile, Ash, Brock, and Misty took Aerodactyl to the treatment room. With the combined effects of equipment and medicine, Aerodactyl's injuries healed rapidly, and its strength gradually returned.

Estimating that Aerodactyl would soon recover, Ash asked Misty and Brock to explore the rest of the Laboratory while he waited for Aerodactyl to wake up.

After waiting for nearly half an hour, Aerodactyl finally regained consciousness. As it opened its eyes, it saw Ash sitting beside it.

"How do you feel?" Ash asked with a smile.

"Aero..." Aerodactyl responded weakly, indicating it was alright and displaying a much more docile demeanor.

"Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu jumped from Ash's arms onto Aerodactyl's face, patting its head with its tiny paw. Aerodactyl didn't get angry but accepted it calmly.

"You didn't follow the training plan I arranged for you, did you?" Ash inquired suddenly.

"Aero..." Aerodactyl was taken aback and fell silent. It hadn't trained according to Ash's plan but had followed its own ideas.

"I'm not saying your training is bad, but it's not suitable for you right now. The training plan Brock and I designed, based on your current situation, can maximize your training effectiveness," Ash explained.

"I think you should have some understanding of this. Otherwise, how could you have such a good relationship with Beedrill?" Ash realized that Aerodactyl's closeness to Beedrill stemmed from its desire to uncover the secret behind Beedrill's steadily increasing strength.

However, Beedrill had simply been following Ash's training regimen, and Aerodactyl, having not followed the same plan, failed to grasp this.

Aerodactyl's expression confirmed Ash's suspicions. It had indeed been trying to understand Beedrill's training secrets. Of course, through their interactions, they had also become friends.

"If you had followed my training plan, even if you couldn't defeat Charizard in the previous battle, you wouldn't have lost so embarrassingly. Charizard didn't even need to use Golden Flame to defeat you," Ash stated the harsh truth.

Had it not been for Aerodactyl's request and Ash's desire to completely subdue it, Charizard wouldn't have needed the Golden Flame Cannon.

"Roar!" After a moment of silence, Aerodactyl struggled to stand up and roared at Ash, its eyes filled with fighting spirit and genuine submission.

"Alright, for the next two months, we'll train together," Ash smiled, patting Aerodactyl's wings.

Aerodactyl's eyes lit up, and it nodded vigorously. It also wanted to become stronger, strong enough to compete with Charizard, and it didn't want to continue as it had been.

Ash nodded slightly, then led Aerodactyl out of the treatment room. Outside, in an open space, he released his other Pokémon.

Seeing that the once weak Pokémon had grown so much under Ash's training, Aerodactyl felt a pang of regret. If it had trusted Ash's training methods and started earlier, perhaps it would have already achieved significant progress.

Ash asked Pidgeot to find Beedrill and Tauros, who were with Misty and Brock.

"In the next two months, I'll be conducting more rigorous training than usual to ensure a strong performance at the Indigo Plateau Conference two months from now. Our goal is to win the championship!" Ash declared to his Pokémon.

Inspired by Ash's words, the Pokémon were filled with fighting spirit and excitement. This was the first time Ash had openly shared his ambition to win the Indigo Plateau Conference with them.

"Let's work together to stand at the top of the Indigo Plateau Conference!" Ash exclaimed, and his Pokémon roared in agreement.
