That night on Cybertron, seven armed Cybertronians lurked near an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Kaon City.
"Remember, we don't know if this is a trap or not, so don't let your guard down." Said the leader of this group, where he was one of the guards responsible for the security of Kaon City's mafia boss. "These two brothers are known to be very sharp."
"Dreadwing and Skyquake are both brutes, they're no problem as long as we have these beauties with us." A young and arrogant Bot said mockingly, proud of the weapon he was carrying, a high-powered rifle.
"Do not underestimate Dreadwing, he is known to be a bomb expert, a hunter who likes to deceive his victims with traps." The group leader drew his weapon and cocked it when he was only a few steps away from entering the warehouse. "Any sign of a trap, even if it is just suspicious, we will leave this place immediately, we will not underestimate them."
"If not, I'd like to punch Skyquake in the face, I can't wait to rip his head off." The arrogant bot licked his lips in anticipation, showing his sharp teeth.
The group entered the warehouse, everyone paying full attention, especially the leader of the group who was the most cautious as the place was full of garbage scattered in several random places, making it difficult to see.
The arrogant teenager looked down one of the rubble corridors and saw a scene that made him smile in triumph, clearly seeing Skyquake and Dreadwing kneeling on the ground, bound with metal ropes. "BOSS! THEY'RE HERE!" He approached as others from his group approached, slowly lowering their weapons. "That was easier than I expected, they're just size, nothing more important than that."
The leader of the group approached, seeing clearly with his own eyes, Dreadwing and Skyquake bound and unconscious, both brothers completely vulnerable. "Where is the bot that captured them?" He asked, still suspicious. "Hey! Is his signal receiver still working?"
"Yes boss, everything indicates that he is in the warehouse." The tracking bot confirmed it, as it was responsible for leading the group to this location. Because one of the organization's assassins confirmed the capture of Dreadwing and Skyquake a few hours ago, they all had to come and see if it was true or a trap.
The leader of the group cautiously approached the brothers, still not fully believing that they were actually unconscious. "Stay alert, if they move you can shoot them down to the last bullet." He approached to touch Dreadwing, but before he could, his attention was drawn to the sight of a metal box.
The leader approached and clicked a single button he had to unlock the box, creating a bit of mist in the process. He looked inside the box and slowly seemed to see the world in slow motion as his optical receptors saw a dismembered bot inside, without legs, arms, and eyes, with a detonation bomb in its chest, with a 12 second timer.
"FUCK-!!" The leader looked at Dreadwing and Skyquake, but to his horror, both brothers began to disappear into particles of light, revealing themselves to be a realistic hologram, perfectly deceiving the eyes of a Cybertronian like himself.
*BOOM!!*
The shed exploded, creating a mushroom cloud of flame in the sky that could be seen from miles away. Many pieces of debris fell to the ground after a few seconds of free fall, some of which were literally body parts, but they would not be easily noticed without an expert such as a coroner.
"I knew you were known for explosives, but that's a bit of an exaggeration." Barricade admitted, his eyes watching the fireball dissipate into the sky. "Come on, we don't have much time, maybe a few minutes before the Autobots get here."
Skyquake moved forward first, searching for any survivors, not caring about the intense heat that heated his armor. "I have a question for you, Barricade, did you happen to use this place for your interrogations? Is that why this place is so far from the Autobot base?"
"Exactly, unfortunately many of the laws end up being generous to criminals, so to do my job effectively I have to follow my own rules." Barricade confessed, searching through the wreckage and finding a charred arm on the ground.
"I like the way you think." Skyquake was pleased with Barricade's way of working, seeing him as a potential companion for the Decepticons.
"Now I want you to answer my question." Dreadwing glared at Barricade, forcing him to do the same. "When you described that there would be more assassins in our search, and it seemed like you were used to it, do you happen to know the modus operandi of Mafia leader Kaon?"
"Yes, I've been trying to catch this guy for a couple of decades, so I'm used to him trying to kill me, but unfortunately I've reached a limit of how independent I can be to take on the mafia." Barricade crossed his arms, feeling a little anxious at the prospect of finally taking down the Mafia in his city. "I have to admit that I can't defeat the entire Mafia by myself, but with you two together, we might have a good chance. However, we must act quickly or it will be too late."
"Why the rush?" Dreadwing asked.
"I heard they bought a shipment of kidnapped Minicons to use as weapons, if they get those Minicons, we're in serious trouble." Barricade replied as he noticed a subtle movement in the wreckage and saw that someone had survived the trap. "Perfect, it's time for the interrogation."
The survivor of the blast was dragging himself with difficulty on both arms, unaware that he was missing part of both legs, a very debilitating injury that left his senses too disoriented to notice. Unfortunately for him, however, he fully regained his senses when a new point of pain appeared on his body, shaken by the blast wave, as his right hand was brutally crushed by Barricade's foot.
"AHHHHGGGRRRR... Damn it..." The leader of the group groaned in pain, subconsciously knowing that he was the only survivor, as he was the one who had managed to run to a certain point when he noticed the bomb about to explode, only to survive the damage after the detonation. "Damn... you guys are cowards..." He looked up and saw Barricade first, feeling a certain panic, knowing how dangerous he was from the rumors among the criminals who had temporarily survived the inhumane interrogations he conducted.
Barricade noticed the bot's look of terror and fear, which made him smile maliciously, for it was obvious that this surviving bot knew very well how he worked and the methods he used. "From the look in your eyes, I can imagine that you know there's no way out if you don't cooperate. NOW TELL ME, WHERE IS YOUR BOSS?"
"Please.... Don't kill me.... I'll say anything..." The bot panicked, knowing that his chances of getting out alive were practically zero, but it was impossible not to cry with fear, knowing that death was knocking at his door. "I... Aghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" He screamed with difficulty, feeling Barricade stomp on his other hand, shattering it into pieces.
"You can make your pain end faster or slower, but either way you know how this ends." Barricade grabbed the survivor's head and gouged out his eye with his thumb, leaving Dreadwing shocked at such barbarity. "If you want to join the Allspark faster, confess! Because you still have enough stamina to make this more fun for me."
