I paced around my room biting my nails, pondering over the conversation I had with Jonathan. My eyes drifted to the contract on the bed, and I looked away immediately.

Anika, this is crazy. Why should I help him when he was trying to play with my heart and time?

I kept biting my nails, different thoughts and opinions running through my head with no ideas I found suitable to pick.

"Anika!" I heard my name being called and peered at my room door. The room door sprang open, and Stella and Lily rushed in.

"I think things are going to go sour," Stella shoved her phone in my face, and I read through the news content.

Jonathan wants to hold a press conference. Why would he do that?
