Chapitre 14: Three Grown Golliras

Delvin carefully and gently turned to see what was behind him. Surprisingly, six full-grown gorillas stood staring at him with thirsty eyes.

'Delvin, you are in an extremely dangerous environment, the system predicts fifty percent of survival from the enemy in front of you!' Alerted Skylark.

'Delvin, this is your problem. I will not interfere or help in this instance.' Zauzo said incredulously.

Really? How do you abandon your so-called brother in the midst of danger?

'Oh! So now you remember me as your brother? Sorry I am offline.' Zauzo went and hid in eternal space.

I can't believe this? If I die, you will die too. Shouted Delvin in an angry tone.

'Great another fresh meat for us? I guess we will pile his skull on top of the others. Thank you for coming boy, we have not had a sumptuous meal for a while now!' Uttered the biggest ugly gorilla.

The other five roared, pounding their chests with their fists, ready to pounce at any moment.

That's not fair? Gorillas that can talk? Delvim complained bitterly to Skylark since Zauzo was nowhere to be seen.

'System scans artificially made gorillas!' Proclaimed Skylark.

Damn! Artificial gorillas? This is just perfect.

Delvin already trying to come up with what to do next.

The six gorillas continued groaning and beating their chests, inflicting fear on their prey.

Delvin's chances for survival were very minimal.

I definitely can't outrun them. I just have to face them head-on. Thought Delvin thought.

He made a stance in readiness for a fight. While the six gorillas started encircling and measuring him. Searching for a weak spot to exploit.

'You ugly gorillas, come at me! Why are you behaving cowardly? Are you scared of being sent to your grave early?' Shouted Delvin to provoke them into attacking him, because he needed to be on the defensive side to know what kind of strength they had.

'Pathetic! You think you have a chance to stand against us?' Uttered the biggest of them all.

The five other gorillas roared as they rushed out all at once and leaped up in the sky aiming to break Delvin's neck.

Delvin made a back-flip somersault, the five gorillas collided, fell on the ground and stood up and made a second attempt.

Delvin made a roll on the ground, causing the six gorillas to miss again.

'This poor human is proving difficult. Plan B formation!' Shouted the bigger huge gorilla and roared, 'Attack!'

The six gorillas re-arranged themselves and stood in a straight line when the one in the middle broke out with the super-speed Delvin had never seen before. They groaned, beating their chests and jumped with their two legs and two hands.

When it was about to reach Delvin, it transformed into a flying winged serpent and spit a blueish fire and lit up Delvin in blue frames instantly and flew up in the sky.

Not good! Shouted Delvin in panic as he experienced the severity of fire pains. He rolled on the sand trying to put out the fire.

The four other gorillas attacked with voracious force as they turned into various different creatures. A black scorpion creature was formed by one. It attacked with its sharp, long pointed tail. Delvin saw the attack in time and ducked.

'Ooooh! That was close.' Screamed Delvin and breathed heavily.

Delvin released a punch centered on the throat of the chimpanzee, which had transformed into a monster lizard. The monster lizard deflected the punch with a quick swing of its tail, and gave a counter-attack of its own. Delvin was struck on the chest and flew ten meters away.

'System activating fireproof!' Announced Skylark.

A blue energy encompassed Delvin, putting out the fire and creating a shield.

At the same moment, Delvin felt a razor beam penetrate his chest from his back. The pain was intense and excruciating.

'Aah!' Mourned Delvin.

The huge gorilla was the one who made a sneak attack.

'Strength booster upgraded from 0.5 to 30.0,

Regeneration ability activated and upgrade in progress from 0.5 to 30.0,

Agility upgraded from 0.5 to 30.5,

Eyesight upgraded from 0.5 to 30.9,

Energy bar upgraded from 20 grams to 40 grams.' Announced Skylark.

Delvin did not pay attention to the system updates. Because he was busy dodging strikes and blows as fast as possible.

Automatically, his injured body healed and pain ceased.

The serpent gorilla made a hill turn as it came down and blew a powerful, stronger blueish fire. However, this time it did not stick but bounced back.

The winged gorilla serpent was set on fire and growled. It fell and continued burning till to ashes.

The eight-handed gorilla thrust eight sword strikes aimed at Delvin's neck, belly, chest, and legs simultaneously. Delvin leaped back twenty yards.

The huge gorilla shot his razor beam rifle, Delvin leaped again, and twisted his body in the sky, dodging the blue razor beam, and gave a counter-attack blow and hit the huge gorilla's head, and it fell down bleeding dark green blood at the corner of its mouth.

Delvin then ran to a high altitude of the mountain on the left. When he had reached the cliff, he let go and fell. As he was falling, he shouted, 'Wings out!'

Skylark, activated the wings. Delvin tried to flap his wings and balance himself to fly. He kept falling and fast.

'Relax, Delvin, feel the wind, feel its energy.' Advised Skylark.

'Skylark help please? I will hit the ground any moment.' Pleaded Delvin.

He screamed, 'no!'

He hit the ground violently, with a loud thud. The whole scene was clouded with brownish dust. A few seconds later, he raised his head. Am I not dead?

'You are silly, Delvin.' Skylark laughed out loud.

'You are a new species and the first of its kind. That fall can't kill you nor break any bone in your body. But it has drained your energy. You need to eat enough food. Look out?' Shouted Skylark.

The three gorillas had charged out with sharp long white bones like spears. They were about to stab him all at once.

Delvin evaded by rolling over five times.

The three gorillas kept jabbing everywhere, attempting to strike at Delvin.

When Delvin escaped all their attacks and became free, he stood up, 'Come on! Merciless creatures? Make my life more difficult?'

Prod Delvin, as he was already scampering to the peak of the mountain.

'You will not survive our attacks forever! You will get tired!'

Said one gorilla as they lunged behind Delvin, very voracious like mad hungry lions.

Chapitre 15: Spies

'Remember to feel the wind. It's one of the great energies of life the universe offers. Go with the flow and don't fight it. Cast away your fears, only then will you fly.' Revealed Skylark, knowing what Delvin was about to do.

Delvin accelerated his speed, the second he reached the peak, he jumped over the cliff for the second time.

At Lusaka Blue Hotel, Mister Parker walked into Jasmines' office. Jasmine got up right away as she saw Mister Parker come in, 'Good evening sir?' Jasmine greeted respectively.

Mister Parker smiled mischievously. He ignored her greeting, 'My princess, you work so hard. What is my responsibility then?'

Inquired Mister Parker. Jasmine hilariously laughed.

'To make sure that I do my work effectively,' she remarked. As she connected her eyes with him. She then went on, 'I want to become great like you.'

Mister Parker chuckled, 'Patience Jasmine. You first need enough rest. Try different things, like having fun with your friends, seeing other people. By the time you come back to work, you will have been refreshed. Only then will you be effective and make lasting changes.'

Jasmine discerned something from her father.

Where is all this coming from? She thought.

'Alright, father, I hear you, now just say it?'

Mister Parker cleared his throat, 'you could go out on a date?'

Jasmine now wanted to know her father's mind. He had never suggested such a thing before.

'Dad, where are you getting to with all this?'

Mister Parker is a straight forward person and speaks out his mind mostly. Jasmine is completely convinced that he is up to something.

'It's just free advice, from father to daughter.'

Jasmine is determined not to give up the fight. He started it, so he had to finish it.

'Dad?' Probed Jasmine with a serious face.

Mister Parker kept his composure and a smiley face.

'I am serious.' Mister Parker stood his ground.

Jasmine's frown deepened, and with an assertive tone, 'Daddy?'

Mister Parker relents, he has achieved his goal, 'Maybe you should consider going out with Delvin? He is quite a decent guy. Don't you think so?'

Mister Parker put forward, knowing that his daughter sometimes needed a little push.

Maybe this will make her relax, and experience a different kind of life other than her job. Thought mister Parker.

Jasmine blushed, then glared, trying to hide her feelings. She gazed at her father one more time before sitting back on her chair.

'Father, how would you know that? Secondly, you don't have the right to suggest who I should go on a date with?' Countered Jasmine.

Mister Parker sat on an opposite chair. He was observing every slight change in Jasmine's body language.

'I have lived long enough years to tell the character of a person. In the first five minutes, I interact with that being. I can read their vibration and energy. He is an interesting young man and the woman who finds him is going to be happy.' Mister Parker patiently elaborated. Jasmine wants to escape the trap.

'Father enough, or else I will tell mother that you were setting me up with an old man.' She menaced him.

Mister Parker glared, pretending not to have heard her threat, 'Don't take too long, or he will be snatched. Fine men these days are hard to come by and do get married very fast.'

'Father! Enough, stop getting into my personal business.' Jasmine creates a strong defense.

Mister Parker, broke out into hysterical laughter. 'See, why are you being so defensive? You have a thing for him? I heard that you went to buy things with him when you could have sent any of our drivers?'

Jasmine scowled, and then she looked at him in the eyes.

'Have you secretly planted spies to follow me around?' repulsed Jasmine.

Mister Parker leaned back in his chair, relaxed, he was definitely enjoying himself at this moment with a warm smile, 'Look, all I am saying is, before I let anyone work for me, I do a background check. I did my homework. Alright, you go home and get some rest. It's a command.' Instructed Mister Parker.

Jasmine's eyes grew wide, she did not want to discuss this topic further.

'Fine, and you need to get some rest too. I hope you did check up with your doctor?'

Mister James Parker got up, grinned at Jasmine thoughtfully, 'Sure, I just need to attend one more meeting, and I will call it a night.'

Inside Grandma Beatrice's house, Grandma Beatrice confronted George.

'Where are you coming from George? Have you been hanging out with that loser, Devin? Why do you like to spend time with that poor bastard?'

It's Grandma Beatrice. She has never spoken anything good about Delvin. Anyway, he was popular for that very notion.

'Grandma. It's Delvin, technically, I was not hanging out with him.'

George looked at Grandma Beatrice with a mischievous face, a grin building on his cheeks. Grandma Beatrice was not done reprimanding George, 'It's the same person who is teaching you bad manners. Your father denied you because of that same awful person. You need to grow up. I am getting old and one day I will die. Who is going to take care of you? You refused to get the proper education your father suggested and he was going to get you a job immediately after completing it. Look at how the world has become, and changed?'

George was calm, quiet, as if he was not listening. He must have heard these words a thousand times. Grandma Beatrice went on, 'And where is your sister? The two of you are driving me mad.'

Georges' skin grew tough from Grandma Beatrice's nagging.

'Grandma, I just came back from work.' Explained George.

She gazed at George inquisitively, 'What work?' Grandma Beatrice retorted.

This gave George enthusiasm. He beamed, 'I found something to do at Lusaka Blue Hotel, I just came back from there, I am very tired, and by the way, the loser you keep talking about just got a job at ZamCorp Base One two days ago.'

Grandma Beatrice made a puzzled face, 'What?'

Asked Grandma Beatrice in a horrified tone.
