Kyle smiled as she pulled out of the driveway, he knew that those final moments would ultimately shape her thoughts for the day. 

She would recall this very moment to the point of obsession.

However, there was also a chance that she wouldn't after Kyle heard her views about love. 

"Well Cassey, do you have your missing piece?" Kyle muttered under his breath. 

She also paid for her own coffee, so one could argue that this was a date. Otherwise, she would have allowed Kyle to cover the bills but she had instead opted to spend her own money. 

Kyle respected that, she had made a statement with that gesture: she could take care of herself.

Kyle entered his car and drove off. Even though he didn't have to go, his destination was the hospital. He knew that this would ensure that he had a good relationship with Ella, but on his way there, a call came through his phone.
