Chapitre 69: Chapter 69: Future Plans

"Kassadin, sir, aren't you just here for a vacation on Xandar?" Sonya asked, somewhat surprised that he wanted to extend his stay. She was glad, of course, but it wasn't common for guests to stay for long periods at the hotel. Most people who planned to stay for a few months would usually buy a property on Xandar instead. Owning a mansion might not offer the same level of service as a place like the Elite Hotel, but it's more cost-effective if they plan to stick around.

"I never said I was here for tourism," Harvey replied casually. "I just wanted to find a comfortable place to stay. I heard the Elite Hotel was the best, so I decided to give it a try."

He glanced around the lavish suite. "But I must admit, the environment here and your service have impressed me. Staying a bit longer wouldn't be so bad."

Sonya was sharp and efficient. Even though Harvey often told her to take breaks, she was always ready to serve, never once slacking off. She handled his requests swiftly, and Harvey appreciated that. He also noticed her curiosity about his frequent outings, though she never asked any questions—just a flicker in her eyes that betrayed her interest.

"Thank you, Kassadin. It's an honor to serve you," Sonya said, her face lighting up with genuine happiness at his compliment.

"How do I extend my stay?" Harvey asked, ignoring the usual pleasantries.

By now, Sonya knew better than to overexplain. Most guests would have already been briefed on the hotel's amenities within their first few days, but Harvey wasn't the type to bother with small details. She simply tapped a few buttons on her datapad, and with a quick swipe of her hand, a holographic payment screen appeared in front of him.

Without hesitation, Harvey keyed in 300,000 credits and sealed the transaction with a handprint.

"Thank you, Mr. Kassadin," Sonya smiled. "You're all set for another month. I'll continue to serve you during your stay."

Harvey waved a hand dismissively, signaling that the formalities were done. His mind was already elsewhere. Over the past month, he had nearly exhausted the galaxy's Tier-3 disaster missions, devouring countless powerful creatures along the way. The rate of evolution was staggering—he had undergone seventy-nine evolutions in just thirty days, bringing his total to three hundred and eighty-one.

His reputation was also spreading. The name Kassadin was becoming known across the galaxy.

Void Skin had evolved one hundred and fifty times, and Leap had leveled up forty-six times. The enhancements were significant. Harvey's raw speed now allowed him to fly at Mach 24, and the winds generated at those speeds couldn't even scratch his skin. When tapping into the Void, he could reach Mach 36.

More evolutions in Void Skin also meant his Void Form grew larger and more powerful, allowing him to unleash far more strength than his normal state could handle. While his offensive abilities were top-tier, Harvey knew he needed better defenses. Fortunately, with Void Skin at its current level, his physical durability was more than sufficient for now.

As he had suspected, the opportunities for evolution in space far surpassed those back on Earth. He still had several Tier-2 disaster missions left, which would likely take him another two months to complete. By then, he estimated he'd reach at least four hundred and twenty evolutions.

Once that goal was met, he'd shift his focus to enhancing his abilities, starting with Fear Tasting, Void Spike, and Mental Resistance. After reaching 400 evolutions, he'd evaluate the cost of each evolution point. If it didn't double to 300,000, he'd prioritize Mental Resistance, aiming to push it up to seventy or eighty levels. That, combined with Kassadin's natural abilities, would likely grant him near-immunity to most magical attacks.

If the cost did spike, though, he'd first focus on leveling all his abilities except for Void Rush, pushing them to fifty evolutions each. Afterward, he could max out Void Rush and continue to build his Mental Resistance. Harvey knew that Kassadin's abilities could evolve later—there was no rush since evolution points weren't shared between skills. As his physical prowess increased, so would his speed of acquiring points. Maxing out Kassadin's powers in the future would be far easier.

Having left Earth for a month now, Harvey had amassed over ten billion credits and gained enough fame to be recognized across the galaxy. It was time to consider purchasing a few things for Tony back on Earth—something to pique his interest—and perhaps indulge in a little fun back home.

Sonya watched as Kassadin silently sipped his drink, her curiosity simmering. What was he always thinking about? Where did he go on those frequent trips? But she kept her thoughts to herself. After all, it wasn't her place to pry.

Sonya realized that perhaps it was precisely because she didn't invade his privacy that Kassadin seemed to appreciate her work so much. Shaking her head, she decided not to dwell on it. She was lucky to have such a low-maintenance guest, and she intended to enjoy this rare, easygoing job while it lasted.

"Sonya, I'll be leaving for three days," Harvey said suddenly, breaking the silence. "You can rest while I'm gone."

Sonya blinked, a bit surprised. It was the first time Kassadin had been so clear about his plans. But she quickly recovered.

"Of course, Mr. Kassadin. Safe travels," she replied smoothly.

Harvey gave a slight nod before vanishing in an instant, leaving Sonya alone in the suite. She looked around and sighed. Instead of taking her unexpected break, she picked up her cleaning tools and continued her work.

Though serving Kassadin was one of the easiest jobs she had ever had, she still took pride in doing it well.
