Chapitre 86: The Abyss Beckons

Kaleb was amazed by what he saw, the vortex of mana swirling ever tighter around the orb embedded in Jareth's weapon. The faint hum grew louder as the pull it generated strengthened, resonating in his chest, and making him uneasy.

He held in his awe. After all, he didn't exactly like the man. So showing him that he was in awe of something he could do wasn't something he would want.

Kaleb cast his gaze towards Aria and Mil. They were running as fast as they could, but if something wasn't done soon they would be trampled by the horde.

He said to Jareth in a calm tone.

"You know there are people in the way, right?"

Jareth didn't even turn to look at him. He was too busy concentrating on controlling the torrent of mana. When he could finally spare the energy to, his tone carried a sharp edge of annoyance.

"I know, brat."

He shifted the weapon in his hands, the barrel aligning with the beasts directly in its path.
