As they took their first steps away, a low growl rumbled from the nearby shadows, and from them a magic beast the size of a hut emerged, its body covered in a thick layer of sleek, jet-black fur that shimmered unnervingly in the dim light.
Aria's eyes lit up and grinned with excitement, wild and unrestrained.
"Finally! I thought I would go through all this trouble and not find one of these bastards!" she said, barely able to contain her urge to charge in.
A thrill surged through her veins, as she conjured two balls of flames that hovered just above her head, Finn stood beside her raised a hand and a gust of wind followed, swirling around them rapidly and forming a barrier of sorts.
"What the hell is this Finn?" Aria snapped, a hint of exasperation in her voice.
"Don't move Aria!" Finn shot back, his gaze locked on the beast lurking in the shadows.
She turned to him, her eyes filled with anger and her voice expressing her determination.
