Chapitre 64: Casting a Wide Net, Expanding Her Pool

On Qi Yue's first day at work, Chi Yu's breakfast returned to its usual high standards. Those expensive ingredients were once again laid out on the table.

Chi Yu invited Qi Yue to sit down and join him for the meal. 

"How did you manage this? Airlifted overnight?" he asked, concerned that it must have been exhausting for her. 

Qi Yue smiled, shaking her head gently. She glanced towards the kitchen and lowered her voice.

"I found them in her room. She had packed everything up, ready to send it back home. I 'accidentally' stumbled upon them." 

Chi Yu's interest piqued. "What was her reaction?" 

Speaking of this, Qi Yue couldn't help but admire Zhao Mei. 

"She didn't cause a scene. Her first instinct was to bribe me, knowing it was best to keep things quiet. She's not as foolish as one might think." 

Of course Zhao Mei wasn't foolish.
