Chapitre 7: The Scarlet Knight 3

"Sinners who have turned their back upon the gods, in the name of Ankhseram, I shall slay you." A man in Golden armor said while walking forward, behind him stood an army, which were stunned seeing me standing there alone.

"Than in the mockery of your faith, you shall have zero mercy from me," I said while pulling my sword out of the ground, and walking forward. The man in golden armor walked towards me, his eyes boiling in rage at my words.

"Heretic!" The man boomed towards me, using Sword God Slayer Magic to cut towards me. Everything in his path was cut, a nearly unblockable attack. I held my sword, and with a roar, I swung forward and clashed with the incoming sword slash. To the shock of the man, I shattered the slash before I burst forward.

We traded countless sword clashes, and we were equals. Why? Simple, this man was more experienced, and skilled than me in just about everything. This didn't bother me, as I used him to improve my skills.

We zoomed across the battlefield, we were only equaled thanks to my high levels of strength and speed. Take that away, and if we were equal in powers, I would have lost almost instantly.

"Sword God Slayer Magic Secret Art: Soul Cut" The Man in golden Armor roared, cutting forward and sending forth a black sword slash toward me. I couldn't dodge, so I aimed to cut it, but the attack couldn't be blocked with such ease, for it bypassed everything, and hit the soul.

I was sent rocketing backward, but I landed on the ground the next moment as if nothing had happened. This shocked the man, for the soul cut would at least stun a target, and at most leave the body soulless, yet nothing happened to me... well, something happened, I just healed by the time I touched the ground.

The Man in golden armor moved, and again we moved to trade blows. We clashed, and many times the man in golden armor managed to hit me, just to find that the armor wasn't so easy to cut, since the armor could share my healing capability.

Sword slashes shot towards me, I dodged the countless attacks or even moved to send the attacks elsewhere. Some attacks cut through the whole forest like butter, and some cut through mountains, sending the upper mountain flying into the air, while others were sent toward the Holy Light Empire army. This enraged the man in golden armor and ordered the army to attack me.

And so, a battle against myself and an army began. The battle went on for hours, hours that passed with the army growing tired and wanting to flee, but I didn't let go, bathing in the blood of my enemies.

The Man in golden armor was enraged by the sight, he tried everything, but I was growing, my mind was sharper than most, and although my sword skills or experience didn't match this man's... it had improved, improved to such a degree that on top of my physical capability, I was able to cut off his head after a dozen blows.

"Where is your god?" I asked while the blood jetting out of his head rained down upon me, bathing me in blood. The army stepped backward, horrified by all of this. They turned to flee, but I stabbed my sword into the head of the man in Golden Armor while taking his sword.

"I asked, where is your god?" I asked horrifying everyone who saw the blood-covered demon walking forward. I rocketed forward and used the enemy sword to kill them... I was using them to train. In my mind, the Man In Golden Armor movement played out, I simply moved to try and copy them and understand the reason for every movement.

The blood bath went on for a few minutes until I stopped running after the fleeing soldiers, and from there, I waited for their next move. I threw the enemy sword away, and summoned my sword, waiting for them to come help improve my skills...

But what was the scale of power? Well, there wasn't a tiering system in this world. There was an S tier, but that tier can't be used to accurately measure others' strength, because in one empire an S-tier mage could shatter mountains, but in another Empire an S-tier mage could destroy a small forest.

The best tiering system was using the Dragons as a tiering system. A normal-scale Dragon, Dragon Lord, and Dragon King.

A normal dragon breath attack could leave waste to a village, up to badly damaging a whole mountain range.

A Dragon Lord breath attack could leave damage on a country scale, while a Dragon King could damage things on a continental scale.

Of course, just because one could destroy things on a continental scale doesn't mean their attack would be that huge. There were different types of attacks, an Area Of Effect scale attack, or one that could focus all that force, allowing its might to be far greater.

The Golden Armored man was on the level of a Dragon Lord. With my armor, I also was on the scale of a Dragon Lord. but like how there were small and large Countries, I was a huge country while the Golden Armored Man was a normal size Country.

Irene is also a dragon lord, but she could enchant herself to be on the Dragon King Scale. Sadly, she couldn't defeat a Dragon King since they were too resistant to her magic.

Anyway, the days passed. A days filled with me fighting many elites of the Holy Light Empire, many holding might at the Dragon Lord tier. Some even held strength on the Dragon King Scale, I managed to defeat them thanks to outlasting them, but I couldn't kill them or badly injure them.

I had to fight, I had to adapt to fighting against an army. I used my high healing capability to draw out battles and find the enemy's weaknesses, I had to fall back at times to avoid those armies with teamwork so great. They tried to overwhelm me, fighting day and night, giving me zero time to rest, but this didn't slow me down as I fought nonstop, my armor growing more and more red by the passing day.

There was no longer a hint of silver on my once red armor, for it was all completely scarlet. Be it the sword, or the armor, it was all red. As the armor grew Redder, I also grew stronger, while my magic took on hints of God Slayer magic.

On the 7 days, I had my hardest battle.

I sat on the mountain-size summon of the god of war, which I had climbed out of its forehead, and was looking at the lifeless bodies of the 7 God Slayers at the Dragon King's level of power. They all had different elements, with one of them having Death God Slayer magic, which nullified my healing capability, forcing me to turn off my armor gravity to fight them with 10% of my full capability. It would be 100% with my magical armor off.

Even so, I lost an arm, which wasn't growing back. Well, it will grow back, it would just happen slower than I would like. As for the god I sat on, he was summoned, this wasn't his true form and was instead something like a clone summoned by a few mages working together. Even so, I won by cutting myself out of its brain. I had entered through its nose and had destroyed its brain from the inside,

"You might have overdone it," Belserion said while landing on the ground, stunned seeing the elites of the Holy Light Empire covering the land. Don't look at the god I sat on or the 7 god slayers, but there were thousands of bodies laid all over the place. both elites and normal soldiers.

"I only had 7 days, I needed to send a message... I need to go clean myself." I said calmly, to which Belserion nodded while taking me home. I sat on his back, removing my helmet for the first time in 7 days to rest. I breathed softly, taking the moment to enjoy the rest. I hadn't slept in 7 days, thanks to my physique, that wasn't a huge problem, and adding the high-scale battles that forced me to learn and improve as I fought... well, it was something.

Belserion seeing my condition also slowed down, allowing me to enjoy the moment when I could do nothing... Belserion had me stop at a river since I smelled like the battlefield, I cleaned myself there, while Belserion frowned seeing my hair, which had taken on a hint of red. But when he noticed that no matter how much I cleaned my armor, it wouldn't return to its Silver color, a bit of him understood what happened.

'The armor, bathed in so much blood, it absorbed it... no, he absorbed it, which in return translated to the armor absorbing it.' He thought while looking at me just giving up cleaning my armor, I instead worked on removing the smell and had Belserion erase the smell for me. After, we returned to the empire...

"My Queen, I have returned." Kneeling before Irene who was sitting upon her dragon throne, I lowered my head under the gazes of the many nobles.

"How did it go?" Irene asked, her heart aching to see my scarlet armor.

"I killed over 4,000 warriors, 1,500 mages, of which 70 were God Slayers. Among the god slayers were 7 God Slayers of the level of Dragon Kings. I killed The God of War they summoned, although I know not of his name. I believe the 7 God Slayers I killed might be the special within the Holy Light Empire, they called themselves the Holy 7" I said causing the air to grow quiet.

"... This could force them to launch a full-scale war against us. We can't face the dragons and them at the same time." A noble said in shock, of course, the Holy Light Empire had more powerful elites, but I did kill their 7 strongest elites.

"Then I will face the Holy Light Empire," I said calmly, not bothering to turn back to look at the noble. Irene frowned deeply for some time, before speaking.

"They would not launch a full-scale war against us unless their gods say so, this is the chance for us to begin speaking for a peace treaty," Irene said calmly, she looked at me for some time, displeased that I slaughtered so many people. At that, I lowered my head, unable to look her in the eyes.

Irene looked at my missing limb, she could sense the death power within, but she knew I would still heal. She had me leave, as she planned to speak with me alone, so I went to her office where I waited for her... it took a few minutes but she soon arrived, glaring at me.

"Why?" She asked angrily, to which I simply bowed.

"I will accept any punishment. but I do not see anything I did as wrong. I rather have them fear us, than have more people of this empire die for a foolish war like that." I said making Irene angrily point at me, not knowing what to say.

"They would now fear us, they would not think twice before doing anything. They now know that their actions would have negative side effects, as cruel as it was, it ensures more people of Dragnof live, and more attention can be focused on the real problem." I said to which Irene said nothing before angrily removing my helmet.

"There was a scale, and you went too far on that scale. If you wanted to strike fear in the enemy, then remove the armor and kill a few to stick fear in their hearts. All of those you killed were people, with family, loved ones, and people who were waiting for them to return home. Do you know what you did? Do you think all of them supported war or were they being forced to follow orders?" Irene yelled, this time leaving me quiet as I didn't think that far.

"At the end of the day, we are humans, we are the same race... what you did isn't right. Now they will hate us, and having them unite with us is going to be hard. You didn't simply kill them, you made it that much harder for us to win... Marriage was the best choice." She said to which I opened and closed my mouth, before speaking.

"... I'm sorry, I failed you," I said realizing I let my emotions take over. I vented all my rage onto the enemy and even started seeing them as less than humans, seeing them as ways to improve my skills, and nothing more.

"I let my rage take over. I couldn't understand just why they would attack us, why they want war when we could have peace. I was angry, I was weak, and didn't think about how my actions would affect the bigger picture." I said to which Irene sighed while hugging me, stunning me.

"I... I could have made everything clear to you. I'm sorry, I failed you as a queen. I didn't give you orders... this is all my fault." She said leaving me stunned, I quickly shook my head, but she wasn't listening.

"Go and rest, I will take care of everything from here." She said to which I opened my mouth to try and say something,

"That's an Order... please, go rest." She said to which I closed my mouth, and with rage, I put my helmet back on. but that rage wasn't aimed at her, but at myself. I failed, I was weak, I needed to do better... I needed to deal with my mental problem.

(A/N: This would be the end of Arc 1, the next Arc would focus on the war with the dragons. Do you want to see me put more effort into describing fights? If so, give me some cool spells to use. I have a few in mind, but not as much as I would like.

I also created MC flames to be like that of the Amaterasu, just red and black. Phoenix flames are not immortal, the devil part makes them unable to be put out.)
