25% Contractually Yours: The Billionaire's Unlikely Bride / Chapter 31: CHAPTER 31: ANCESTRAL HOME

Chapitre 31: CHAPTER 31: ANCESTRAL HOME

The desire that she had been suppressing for years was threatening to make a mess out of her.

The devil in her was encouraging her, raising pom-poms in victory as it said. 'He had made the first move. Even if anything happens, the fault won't be on you!'

However, the rational side which had kept her alive and in hiding for so many years was strongly against falling easily like that.

"Logan, we will be late. You need to change!" Briar quickly gathered her bearings and steadily reminded.

No matter what, she couldn't give in to lust right now. At least, when they roll the sheets, it should be special and not so easy like that.

Logan could feel the loud thumping of her heart despite not facing each other. If it wasn't for that, and just him listening to what she was saying, he would have been fooled that he couldn't affect her.

Nonetheless, he didn't plan to make things difficult. He wanted to test something, and it seemed that he got the answer that he wanted.

With a smile on his face, he pulled himself apart and didn't bother about the boner he got from the naughty movements of his just now.

"Let's see what you have for me here!"

Briar felt her body flushing with all sorts of emotions, and she was a bit regretful that she wouldn't be feeling his body anymore. However, they needed to change and arrive at the ancestral home on time.

Briar pasted a smile on her face as she turned her body to face Logan, who was now by her side, his gaze on the different clothes she had placed for him to pick.

With the dangerous game that he was playing, if she continued to cower, she might end up making him lose interest. She was no coward.

Briar collected her thoughts and asked with a smile. "I picked a few different styles from your usual. Can you wear them or should I pick the usual?"

Logan raised his head to look at her. Briar met his gaze head-on, the smile on her face never fading, although her breathing was slightly affected.

'Does he know how deadly he is when he is like that?' she just wanted to strip him of that towel around his waist and let nature take its course.

Logan's lips curled into a smirk as he looked at those naked raw emotions in her eyes before looking back at the clothes. He didn't want to expose her really quickly. What if she returns to her shell and never comes back out?

"I will pick these. Since you chose them, I trust you!" he earnestly said as he picked an outfit.

Upon hearing that, Briar's face beamed, happy for herself that she had been recognized.

Logan smiled as he carried the clothes to the closet for a change. He didn't want to scare her by stripping naked in front of her.

He was going to wait for a bit before moving to that step.

Briar regretfully looked at Logan, who disappeared into the closet.

'It would have been divine if I managed to get a glimpse!' she shamefully thought as she recalled how that thing was pressing hard on her.

Thinking about how he got a boner from just hugging her, a victorious smile blossomed on her face, feeling happy for herself.

It would have been disastrous if he didn't react in such a position. The amount of work she would have been required to put in to capture his heart would be severalfold. And that would be bad.

Logan didn't take long to change, and shortly, he was out.

Briar nodded her head satisfactorily as she looked at Logan, who was wearing black pants with a striped white and red t-shirt.

Why wear a suit when you are going home?

"You look good, Logan!" she couldn't help but praise earnestly as she looked at her man.

Seeing that smile on her face, Logan felt giddy inside and proud that he was the bringer of such a smile on her face.

He just wanted to be the only one to manage such a kind of feat.

"I am ready now. Is there anything else to do anymore?" Logan asked, seeing that she was distracted.

Although it was because of him, like she said earlier, time was running out.

Briar embarrassingly jolted from her reverie and shook her head, answering, "Nothing. We just need to make a move now. The kids should be waiting already."

Logan nodded upon hearing that and walked towards her.

This time she didn't run away, but waited to see what he was up to.

As a result, moments later, when the couple joined the kids, they were walking arm in arm and Briar's expression wasn't that flustered anymore.

When the kids saw them like that, they didn't say a single word. However, their eyes were flashing with a certain glint. It was difficult to read.

With everything ready, the bags were carried to the cars and moments later, they all boarded the cars.

Briar was with Logan, and the kids took their car.

Several moments later, the entourage was leaving the mansion, heading in the direction of the ancestral home.

No one knew what would happen there, but Briar was the most anticipatory.

On their way, the couple couldn't travel without saying a word, so they were chatting.

"Don't be nervous. My family loves you; you know that right?" Logan reassured Briar, who looked a bit nervous, playing with her fingers.

Briar wryly smiled at him, thinking to herself, 'It's not just nervousness but anticipation. I am curious about what your sister might have planned for me on this day!' however when she opened her mouth, she responded, "I know they do. I just can't help it. I don't want them to hate me and think that I tricked you, or something!" her head lowering at the thought of being accused.

Logan affectionately looked at the girl who earnestly harbored thoughts for him and yet desperately did everything to suppress them, although she had been failing in that aspect lately.

"Don't worry about that. No one will think badly about you. In fact, my parents would be happy to know that I married you."

Briar, whose head was lowered a moment ago, suddenly raised her head to look at Logan with a hopeful gaze.

Logan nodded as he pulled her into his embrace, which she willingly entered, burying her face in his chest.

"Just leave everything to me. I will shelter you from all rain and storm," he promised her as he patted her back.

Briar hummed a response without raising her head.

'I wish I could be like this forever!'

Logan didn't push her away but held her in that position without saying a word.

The cars traveled all the way to the ancestral home.

At the ancestral home, the people at home were busy.

"Why are you overdoing things again? It's not like they don't come here all the time?" a young woman dressed in a suit complained as she watched an elderly woman busy doing this and that. It made her head ache from all the movements.

The elderly woman looked at the young woman with a warning gaze, making the other cower for a bit before retorting, "Mother! Seriously! Why are you doing this?"

The mother who was being questioned stopped in her tracks as she looked at her daughter for a while without saying a word.

The daughter being looked at like that didn't feel good at all, but worried greatly. Her mother was a scary one when she was angered. She feared greatly that version.

"Alice, does it really bother you when your brother returns home?" the mother asked gloomily as she looked at her daughter.
