“Damn, that was a difficult deal,” Noah, my right-hand man, or Beta if one day I became the Alpha of the Red Claw Pack, heaved out a relief.

“And yet you are still able to secure the business deal,” he praised me and looked at me with a gaze full of admiration.

I laughed and downed my shot as we were currently in a bar to celebrate the deal's success.

“I like challenging tasks.” I winked at him.

“If not for your brother being older, you would have become the Alpha instead,” he mumbled, yet despite the sounds around us, I could still hear him.

I glared at him and scowled, “Is that how you speak of your Alpha?”

“Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean it,” he apologized hurriedly.

I knew what people were thinking - that I was more suited to be the Alpha of the Red Claw Pack than my brother, just like Noah said.

And it wasn't only my pack members who had the same thoughts. Nearly every werewolf in the werewolf community thought so, too.
