“You know how youngsters are nowadays,” my dad, the Alpha King, laughed before continuing, “One small misunderstanding and they blew the matter up.”

“I can't quite believe that Alpha Charlotte could do something like that, though.” One of the elder Alphas in the werewolf council shook his head in regret. “She looks so composed and promising.”

“Alas, no matter how good she is, she is still a she-wolf. They let their emotions cloud their minds,” another elder Alpha spoke.

I saw my dad give me a look and immediately joined in the conversation.

“It was just a simple misunderstanding,” I lied smoothly. “And I’ve already forgiven her for the mistake she did.”

“Prince Theodore, you are quite mature to forgive her after she nearly ruined your reputation,” the elder Alpha said.

“She is my mate. It is only natural for me to forgive her,” I said with a gentle smile.
