I drove away from Lottie’s house, feeling somewhat ecstatic that she was so resolute in helping me.

It dispelled all my worry and doubts about the motives she had for her change of heart.

What other proof did I need now that she had truly changed and was in love with me?

She welcomed and reciprocated my touches and kisses and was willing to lend me money.

That was more than enough proof that her heart had truly changed and she had no ulterior motives for marrying me.
