Chapitre 2: Assassin
"New nurse?"
Flo heard the same question when this time she entered the second room.
Flo showed a smile and glanced at the boy named Luke. He was still small but his face was really handsome, Flo imagined his dashing father and beautiful mother. The perfect combination that made Luke born into the world, even though it was an unpleasant story, but Flo felt that it wasn't Luke's fault. He never asked to be able to choose which parents to be born into the world.
"Why look like that?"
Flo smiled, "This is the first time I have seen a handsome boy like you."
It was clear that Luke's face was red when he heard Flo's praise for him.
"Isn't your boyfriend handsome? He even praises the kids."
Hearing Luke's answer he wanted to laugh but tried to hold back.
"How can a child know about dating? Besides, I've never had a handsome boyfriend, so I don't want to date. I just want to focus on work and studying."
"Because you're not beautiful, that's why you don't have a boyfriend!" he said.
Flo smiled, "why say I'm not beautiful?"
"Because I think a woman who wears glasses is not beautiful, she is old-fashioned, she doesn't have beautiful eyes."
Flo gaped for a few seconds hearing the little boy's answer which had exceeded the level of an adult. And he was also reminded by Luke's words about glasses, his decision to wear glasses just to hide something turned out to be a bad judgment on his first day at work.
"Last night I read a story here"
Luke showed him the iPad which was not far from his bed, started to turn it on and tried to look for something.
"I will change clothes and prepare breakfast first, so it's best not to play with gadgets before breakfast is finished."
Flo talked while preparing Luke's clothes and the medicine that had to be applied to Luke's body to reduce the itching and pain.
"It's said here that the woman with the glasses is actually hiding her identity." Luke didn't hear Flo's words and continued reading what was written on his iPad screen.
"She wears glasses to look bad when meeting lots of people, it turns out she has a job that not many people know about and is actually very beautiful."
Flo suddenly choked and coughed at Luke's every word, as if he was investigating her and knew the truth.
"You can drink water there"
Luke showed him where the drinking water was stored so Flo could drink to relieve her cough, then returned to focusing on his iPad screen.
"How did you know?" Flo asked after taking a few sips and moving closer to Luke.
"It's on the internet," answered Luke.
Flo's eyes widened in surprise, she was curious about what Luke was saying.
"The manager promised that when I work I won't expose myself on any social media!" said Flo in her heart.
"Do you know his job?" Flo asked again.
Luke nodded his head.
"She's a beautiful assassin"
Luke showed Flo a story he was referring to on his iPad screen.
"Assassin..." Flo said quietly then looked at the title quote that Luke showed her.
He started to breathe a sigh of relief after finding out that what Luke had told him was just a story that almost trapped him.
"Handsome young master, we should change clothes first, apply the medicine and have breakfast."
"What's the time now? "
"Eight o'clock," answered Flo.
"Quickly open the curtains," ordered Luke.
Flo didn't ask why he had to open the window curtains, she just obeyed. Seeing Luke turning his gaze outside behind his window which was still tightly closed.
The window of the room on the fourth floor looks out onto a field where you can see all the staff gathered in the field, there are medical officers in uniforms and doctors in the white coats they wear.
Flo's gaze turned towards Luke, who didn't look away from the field in the slightest, he didn't even pay attention to his friend's iPad.
"You see my father?"
Flo shook her head, she had only been at work today and had only heard briefly about Luke. About who his father was and where he worked, he didn't even know what his face looked like.
"He was always in the leftmost row of the field, and always stood at the front"
As if she was making sure Flo looked at the window and looked from behind the fourth floor window to see only people gathered like ants. The person Luke mentioned couldn't clearly see the person Luke mentioned.
"Later, if you call, you can find out who my father is," said Luke.
"Everyone here really wants to know who my father is," he continued.
"A little, but that's not the main thing," responded Flo.
"My main task is to work, I treat the patients here properly no matter their background and after that I get a salary."
"Because you're still new to work, so you don't like gossiping like the others."
"I often hear them talking about my father, and always ask what my father's name is."
"If they weren't told, why tell me?"
"Because you're the only nurse who says I'm handsome."
Flo was stunned, he was an eight year old boy but every answer seemed not to show his true age.
"Even though I don't like women who wear glasses, it's okay for you."
Each of Luke's words really surprised Flo, she only regretted that Luke was a child. If Luke were an adult man, he would have fallen in love with Luke.
"Okay, now let's change clothes."
Flo began to open the buttons of the pajamas that Luke was wearing one by one, and it began to be seen that his skin was red from scratching and some even had wounds.
"I'll clean it first"
He took a small towel that had been soaked in warm water first, started cleaning it, changed Luke's clothes and gave him medicine.
"Miss Flo"
Luke called him when Flo was about to leave the second room.
Flo narrowed her eyes at the call.
"Sheina said I should call it that"
"Ahh Miss Sheinan" he finally knew the two of them were friends.
"Thank You "
Flo smiled at Luke's kind words which really restored her enthusiasm as a nurse.
"Then tell me what the face of the man I mentioned earlier looked like."
He remembered the person Luke mentioned earlier, and smiled before finally leaving the second room
