Chapitre 10: CHAPTER 10 : Introduction
I am with Isashiki senpai and Higasa senpai right now. It's almost 5:30 AM in the morning, we are on our way towards seido baseball ground. I'm really excited for my first practice with Seido.
There's already a lot of people here at baseball field B when we arrived and everyone is have pretty much lined up now in two groups.
"Go join the line over there now Jiro" Isashiki senpai told me pointing at the group of which I think my fellow freshman.
"Yes senpai" I replied as I made my way to the freshmans joining there line. I just stood there having my thoughts wonder paying no mind to the little gossip of my group around me.
A couple of minutes passed when I feel a sudden shift of mood around us so I look at the front and there stood a man exuding an aura that makes the place suddenly quiet down. I heard people saying goodmorning greetings to him.
The man stopped in front of our group together with two person I've encountered in the office yesterday in his back. He's a tall and muscular man, wearing a black shades.
'He looks like a mafia boss lol, and who the fuck even wears a shade at this time anyways? There's not even a speck of sunlight yet hahah' I thought to myself chuckling softly.
"Is this everyone that wants to join the baseball team?"
"Yes sir!" I got surprised for a bit when people around me replied to him loudly. This reminds me of the military life.
"I am Kataoka Tetsushin, Seido High Baseball Coach" he said sternly exuding a pressure that would definitely intimidate timid people.
"Introduce yourself first in order, starting from you" our coach said looking at the guy in first in line of right corner.
"I am Miyagawa Shin, I play shortstop and I am good fielder!"
"I am Otsubo Kai, First baseman. I bat right pleased to meet you all!"
The guys started introducing themselves obviously trying to appeal to coach.
"I am Tojo Hideaki from Matsukata Senior League I play pitcher!" Another one said on which I gaze at him for a bit since he said he's a pitcher
"I am Kanemaru Shinji, I play fielder I can't wait to practice with you all!" The guy near me said which I take as my cue to prepare myself since it's almost my turn.
When I heard the guy next to me on my right finish introducing himself it's my turn.
"I'm Tsubayoshi Jiro, Pitcher." I simply said since I don't have anything to blab about I'll let my actions speak for myself today.
It suddenly got quite after my turn so I look at the guy on my left to signal him that I'm done with my introduction. He looked stunned as we look each other in the eye, on which I 100% know the reason why.
"It's your turn" I said to him on which wake him up from being in daze. The introduction just resumed normally after that but out of the corner of my eye I saw two guys at the corner peeking at us. One of them hears a baseball hat sideways while having eye glasses and the other guy has brown hair. They look like both of them is having a serious conversation.
'This looks interesting' I thought to myself smirking slightly as I identified the one wearing glasses as Miyuki Kazuya, Seido catcher. I can't help but focus my attention to both of them as they look like they finished their discussion so I'm waiting to see what's gonna happen next.
The brown haired teen started his dash towards us on which I concluded that the guy is a first year since he's trying to sneak in at our line secretly but before he could succeed the other guy sell him out.
"Hey this guy is trying to sneak in line because he's late!" Shouted by Miyuki Kazuya so everyone looks at the guy trying to sneak in our line frozen on his track with wide eyes on his face.
"Hahah" I can't help the laugh that manage to escape my lips as I look at him sweating a lot. He's been obviously used as a decoy by Miyuki Kazuya as I saw him now together with the seniors in the line.
'He's a Black Bellied guy' I thought as I stare at the catcher now laughing at the back of senior line. He felt my gaze on him as he also look my way, I just nod at him and observe the guy being reprimanded by the coach.
"Go run until practice ends" coach said pointing at the field on him.
"This guy's roommate too and that idiot standing over there trying to exploit the situation" The coach said looking at Miyuki Kazuya obviously implying he's the idiot coach is talking about.
He sent them a one last scary look then said
"Go run too". Coach sure looks like a member of mafia as time goes by on my eyes. I chuckled at my thoughts
"Continue" He said as he look at us not paying attention to the four guys now running around the field.
~ Cafeteria ~
We are now here at the cafeteria having our breakfast after doing some exercises after the introduction earlier. Coach made us run around the field too and do some physical exercises before instructing us to have our breakfast and go back to the field afterwards.
"Your eyes really still amaze me till now Tsubayoshi-san" Kanemaru my fellow first year said. On which the others agree on what he said. I got to know some of them while doing exercises together earlier. They're shocked and amaze too in my eyes.
"Nevermind me, we have to finish our 3 bowls of rice first" I said shifting their attention back to a big bowl of rice Infront of us. They paled at that sight obviously not liking the idea of eating this much after exercise.
I saw the guy that tried to sneak in earlier covering his mouth while sweating a lot. 'Is he going to puke?' I wonder as I've seen a lot of reactions around me trying to finish our breakfast.
'This place is really fun' I thought as I continued eating the food Infront of me hungrily and after eating my first bowl of rice I stand up to go and get my second bowl at the counter. I received shock gazes at me from the first years and our seniors too, well sure it's a lot of food but I could handle it. It's about the same of amount of food I ate at home too since it seems like my body is sucking and digesting all of the nutrients that I consumed hungrily too. My body sure is peculiar as I've always said.
I want to finish my food as fast as I can as I want to give my body enough time to digest everything before we go back to field after breakfast, I don't know what we'll do this time though.
As I made my way back to our table I'm stunned when I saw whats on my plate. These guys put some of their food in my plate obviously trying to lessen their own meal.
I just shake my head at them and got back to sitting to continue my meal.
