Chapitre 7: CHAPTER 7 : Choosing highschool
I was walking in our middle school hallway now, class just got finished and I immediately go out after that. I don't have any reason to stay there longer.
I am on my way towards where I parked my bicycle this morning, I always used it as my means of transportation daily when I have my classes to go to the campus since Dateko Middle School is just 15km away from our house. Pretty convenient for me.
I was unlocking the lock on my bicycle when people wearing their sports jersey pass by me and so I remember that It's time for club activities. It got my attention because I've seen people in a group wearing our middle school baseball shirt so my curiosity peek up.
"I'll take a look at their practice for a bit" I said to myself as I've confirmed that I still have enough time.
After unlocking my bike locked I followed the group of middle schoolers to the baseball field while pushing my bicycle with me. I stayed for a bit just looking at them. The people that just entered the field was instructed to jog around while I see some that started doing fielding practice. I've notice 2 pitcher practicing their pitches at the pitching area beside the field.
"Weak" I mumbled softly, that's all I can say to what I can see. Fielders just make too many fielding error that I can't even count, their pitchers is just so-so they're really not that bad but They're not outstanding either, the ball is just so slow in my eyes.
'Better be back home now than stay here, I need to practice' I thought to myself as I ride my bicycle ready to pedal back to home. I have already saw what I need to see, I'm not really disappointed at them since I don't have any expectations to begin with, I already saw them practice when I'm in my first year of middle school and I've never gone to see them after that. Well this is the second time now.
I was already on my way riding my bicycle towards our house as I remembered when I'm halfway that I need to look up online where I'm going for highschool. I made a mental note for that so I won't forget.
"Mom I'm home!" I yell when I opened the door to inform mom that I'm back, dad is away for 2 weeks now and he would be back tomorrow. He's doing everything he can to provide for our needs and I always appreciate his effort for it that's why I'll somehow make it up to them someday.
"I'm in the kitchen sweety!" I heard her yell back hahah, she still likes calling me those sweet names. They still dotes on me because I was their only child.
I made my way to the kitchen to take a look at what she's doing first then go upstairs to change into my training clothes since I need to do my training plan for today. I make my own training plan for myself since I already have the knowledge for it, perks of being reincarnated I guess? I chuckled at that thought.
As I'm done changing with my training clothes I informed mom that I'll be doing my daily training as usual. My training place is still in the park so I head my way there jogging to warm up my body.
I already did my upper body workout this morning after I'm done with my morning run so I just did some legs exercises that helps improve my pitching.
I was a pro player and assistant coach in my last life so I'm pretty knowledgeable on this. So after doing that leg exercises I did some shadow pitching while recording myself on my phone I do this in order to check my form daily.
I do my pitching practice every morning so I just do this every afternoon practice.
I stayed at the park for almost an hour then I decided to head back home since it's already past 5, I still need to do my batting practice.
Time just passed like that it's already 7:30 in the evening when I'm finished with my 400 swings daily using my weighted wooden bat. When I got back inside the house mom have already finished eating first and was relaxing at the sofa already watching television.
I go upstairs to have a cold shower to freshen myself up and rested a little bit before going to the dining area to eat dinner. I'm a heavy eater, I eat a lot so mom always cooked a lot for us.
It's past 8 when I finished washing the plates that I've used so when I pass by the television area mom wasn't there anymore, I think she's upstairs already in their room talking to dad. They always talked everynight like this if dad is away from home.
I made my way to my room too since I still have things to do. Researching possible highschools where I'll go.

I'm in my study table now browsing through the internet for almost 2 hours now. I've looked into baseball highschools within Kanagawa area and outside Kanagawa too. I'm looking into every details to see on which school badly needed a pitcher or schools where I could safely snatched the ace number if they already have an ace.
I wasn't foolish enough to act like some big shot trying to create a team out of nothing, that would just lead to me overexerting myself that would pretty much result higher chances of injury. So I'm looking for a decent school already, they don't have to be strong just decent enough for me to know that I could entrust my back to them.
After more than 2 hours of doing research and after sorting them out from 10choises down to top 4 highschool team where I'll pick. I've got 4 choices in the end.
Seido high school from west Tokyo, Yakushi high school also from west Tokyo, Teito high school in east Tokyo, and Shigeki High school here in Kanagawa.
This is the top 4 schools on which I'm going to choose from, I've looked into it they have pretty good catchers and strong enough line ups for me.
Seido has Miyuki Kazuya on which I read and article online when searching that being dubbed as the saviour of seido and many considered him the best catcher in highschool baseball today.
Teito has Inoue Gan as there catcher he's good too, being considered one of the best catcher too.
While Shigeki is also a pretty good highschool here in Kanagawa, they also got good catcher even though he doesn't have the same reputation like those two he's pretty good too. I've just picked them since I don't have to go outside Kanagawa for highschool if I ever decided on them.
While Yakushi highschool doesn't have any outstanding players mentioned, but I've just included them in my list since I've read a pretty interesting article that this year a retired pro baseball player became their coach so I look their matches up online and compared it to the available video before that coach of theirs came in the result is pretty interesting. They improved by leaps and bounds it might not be noticeable with their game results but I can't ignore that kind of improvements.
I've done a bit of research and have read plenty of articles about those 4 teams. While Teito and Shigeki have been frequent at Koshien these past few years the one dad and I always watch. I don't have anything to say about Yakushi as they just started improving themselves at a impressive rate. While Seido haven't been on Koshien in 8 years now. Which I find it weird since they're a strong team so I looked into it more then I found out that West Tokyo is the most intense battle zone to get that ticket for Koshien since there's so many baseball giants over that area they also have a problem in their pitcher.
When I watch videos of Seido pitcher online that is available, I can't say that he's weak but he's not strong either. The guy is so unstable on the mound! So I'm more inclined for Seido after considering everything.
The excitement of facing a lot of strong teams is enticing. My hunger for a game facing strong opponents is getting out of hand now, I've been holding back and I can't wait to unleash all of this pent of hunger in highschool baseball.
"Alright I still can't decide for my final decision so let's do this" I mumbled as I write down the names of Seido, Teito, Shigeki, Yakushi. Cut the paper in the same size and folding the 4, I put it into my baseball cap and shake it.
After that I put down my baseball cap looking at the three folded papers on it. It's getting late to I'll just let destiny decide for me as I picked one paper and looking at what's written inside of it.
"So destiny pick this one for me huh" I said smiling and going to my bed to sleep since it's decided already.
