MILES
Staying at the club any longer was simply out of the question after what I'd witnessed. The sight had disturbed me to the core, and I felt my patience stretch thin. I quickly called it a night, instructing Angelo to take care of the unfinished business and bring any work left back home. Then, I left with the hopes of seeing Renee when I get home.
But when I arrived, Renee wasn't there. My initial surprise quickly turned to frustration. She'd left the club with Liam long before I did, so it only made sense she'd be home by now. Unless, of course, she was still with him. Her and Liam in a room alone isn't a thought I want to have right now.
A glance at the clock told me it was well past midnight. I grabbed the bottle nearby, took a deep swig, and let out a bitter scoff. "What the hell is wrong with you, Miles?" I muttered to myself. I knew she was only doing her job, gaining the trust of Liam's family, as planned. But here I was, jealous.
