"Do you mean to say her blindness was induced after her birth?" Yaren retorted, staring at Daemon. Then it came to him that up until that moment, they still weren't able to find anything on Zina WolfKnight's real parents. Everything they knew about the woman started from the day she was abandoned in a forest.

Could she have been born with a sight and then it was taken away from her? Who could have done such a crude thing to a child?

"I've something to say just for your ears. Might I ask that he leaves?" Norima said to Daemon, referring to Yaren.

Daemon smiled cynically. "Yaren are my ears."

Norima set her chin up stubbornly. "I shall not say anything if he remains here."

Before Daemon could tell the woman that he could hardly care for anything she wished to say, Yaren interrupted. "I shall take my leave, brother."
