Under the combined attacks of March 7th Dan Heng and Stelle, the horns of the Everwinter Dragon were successfully shattered. But in the next moment, an invisible force gathered the fragments, and the dragon appeared on the ground, completely unharmed.
Seeing the attack had no effect, Welt reached out and grabbed Stelle, pulling her back instantly. Just as Stelle was pulled away, an electric shock surged from the dragon's body, like a wave of energy. If it had been a moment later, Stelle might have been hit by the energy.
"You can't get close, and it recovers quickly after being attacked." Welt thought, holding Stelle back with one hand, trying to figure out what to do next.
Behind them, March 7th and Dan Heng were floating in the air, thanks to Welt's added gravity control. Welt then tossed Stelle into a condensed black ball and used his cane to send the three of them back to the wall of Belobog, like a golf ball being hit away. From the start, Welt had planned to face the stellaron alone.
"Bring it on."
Two pairs of eyes locked—one black and one white, one large and one small. Welt stepped into the void, standing on the same level as the dragon, which was the incarnation of the stellaron. As black-red energy swirled around Welt, a long-held pressure seemed to erupt from the dragon like a volcano.
The playful look in the dragon's eyes changed to a predatory glare, and the giant dragon spoke, "What's your relationship with that guy?" As the dragon's mouth moved, a buzzing sound filled the air, scaring away nearby birds, as if the dragon's murderous intent was aimed directly at Welt.
"Are you the one who made Orion disappear?" Faced with the deadly intent coming at him like a strong wind, Welt remained unfazed, as if it were just a breeze. With a firm tone, Welt asked the stelleron,
"Don't answer a question with a question!"
The Everwinter Dragon was smart and didn't let the conversation be twisted.
The scene was tense; both the people and the dragon were ready to act, so a cautious clash began.
"Ahhhhh!"
The scene shifted back to the Astral Express crew. After a brief moment of darkness in the small black ball, the three of them found themselves back at the familiar walls of Belobog.
They landed in exactly the same spot they had started from.
As soon as they felt the familiar ground beneath their feet, the surrounding Silvermane Guards had already surrounded them.
"Where's Mr. Welt?"
Geppard, who hadn't yet left, approached them. After all, they had moved so quickly that it had been less than three minutes since they left, and the guards hadn't even switched shifts yet.
He was eager to know what happened.
"It's big."
"Very tough!"
"And it has a strong recovery ability that we hadn't seen before."
Geppard listened to March 7th and Stelle's report with a serious expression. If it had been anyone else, he might have asked them for more details, but the info Dan Heng shared was crucial.
"Uncle Yang is fighting Stelle alone," March 7th said, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Maybe that's what he planned from the start," Dan Heng calmly analyzed.
"Darn it, I wish I could have helped him more," Stelle said, frustrated.
"Alright, alright..." While March 7th was comforting Stelle, Dan Heng looked around the military formation. Suddenly, something caught his eye, and he stared intently.
"That's it?" Dan Heng couldn't help but look up because the thing in front of him was massive.
But as time went on, we developed technology that could defy these natural laws. We now have the power to lift massive objects—sometimes weighing dozens or even hundreds of tons—into the sky.
What stood before Dan Heng was something just like that. It had a black and gold design, looking like a steel ship anchored in a bay, but this massive, solid structure floated majestically in the sky, defying gravity.
On top of this giant machine, a Valkyrie-like figure stood on the cold, icy stellaron. She wore white silk gloves that covered her arms. The cold wind blew her long blonde hair around, brushing against her skin, but she stood tall and proud, unfazed by the cold.
This was Cocolia, the one who could control this terrifying machine! She didn't feel the cold. She wore a badge that Orion had given her. In a very short time, she had managed to place almost all the citizens of Belobog in safe locations—whether in the upper district or in the underworld. She didn't leave anyone behind.
After ensuring everyone's safety, she finally unleashed the "secret weapon" she had kept hidden for so long.
The shining metal compound eyes of the machine calmly observed everything around it, just like its ever-running metal core.
The massive machine floated silently in the air, its human-like form exuding a sense of calm, almost like a thinker walking through the sky. It was so awe-inspiring that it made people wonder, "Have we really conquered the sky?"
Standing before Dan Heng was this incredible creation:
[Creation Engine·Change]!
So, what's the secret behind such an astonishing creation? What could turn this giant machine into something so powerful?
Back when Orion was still around, he dreamed of bringing these powerful machines, capable of moving mountains and seas, known as creation engines, back to Belobog.
He even took steps to make it happen. Seven years ago, or even earlier, he led a team of brave souls to recover the first and only Creation Engine from Everwinter Hill.
Cocolia, who had regained the power of the path of [Preservation], was naturally able to operate this machine. But it was just a machine designed by ancient civilizations to reshape terrain, not a weapon of war.
As the world's situation worsened, the machine was too damaged to be used right away. Only after Serval worked tirelessly through the night was it ready just before Orion left Qlipoth Fort.
Orion's faith in Belobog's safety was strong, knowing the Creation Engine could handle the monstrous threats left behind by the stellaron at least until the Astral Express crew arrived.
And it did, but Cocolia wasn't satisfied. She often wondered, "What would Belobog do without Orion's protection?"
Faced with this question, she found her own answer.
In the seven years since the stellaron was sealed, the extreme ice and snow on Jarilo-VI have improved. Cocolia quickly sent people to recover items left on the planet that previous generations couldn't save or access, including other Creation Engines.
Their efforts paid off. Within a few years, Cocolia found four more Creation Engines in different parts of the planet, leading to the machine now. It's made up of five Creation Engines!
One machine alone has the power to move mountains and seas, but combining five, along with the improved technology tested through the Silvermane Guard power armor, is far more powerful.
After years of adjustments, Cocolia has perfected the Creation Engine. Compared to the Cocolia of seven years ago, she could probably deal with her former self and the entire Belobog with one punch!
Even Cocolia herself might not know how strong she is now.
"If I can give Belobog another hundred years of peace, I can spread the Creation Engine to the entire Silvermane Guard, giving them even more powerful armor!"
A beautiful vision for the future filled Cocolia's heart. The thought of hundreds of mountain-sized Creation Engines flying into the sky and attacking together excited her.
"It would be great if Orion could be here with me at this time." Thinking of this, Cocolia calmed down.
With a bang, she thrust the spear that symbolized the position of Supreme Guardian into the console in front of her.
Two pairs of metal eyes suddenly lit up with a dangerous red glow. From the large body of the machine, a stream of data flowed through the spear, connecting directly to Cocolia's nerves.
"Hiss—"
A slight burning sensation came over her, but Cocolia knew this was necessary. As the connection formed, Cocolia's mind and the Creation Engine became one.
Now, with just a small movement, the Creation Engine would instantly follow her thoughts, making the massive metal machine move as easily as an arm. No wonder Welt had so much confidence in it.
After the successful connection, Cocolia and the Creation Engine's power shot up dramatically, making them five hundred times stronger than any power armor!
It was unbelievably powerful and overwhelming! With such a mighty machine, what could possibly stop them on Jarilo-VI? Nothing could stand in her way!
Standing on the wall of Belobog, Cocolia's eyes were filled with determination. She remembered Orion saying to say this phrase, which was perfect for this moment:
"Zeta, Launch!"
The Creation Engine's eyes conveyed information to Cocolia through layers of mist. Even though they were thousands of feet away, the sounds of fierce battle and the shaking of the ground reached her.
She already knew Welt's plan through Geppard. Whether he won or lost, Welt would return, and when he did, she would be ready to support him!
