Of course, this thought only flashed briefly through Leo's mind. Even though traveling through the void left him feeling somewhat disoriented, it was never to such an extent.
Besides, within his trade system, there were many items exclusive to the Reborn world, confirming that he had indeed returned to the pirate world from the Reborn World.
As usual, Leo didn't immediately reach out to Jessie and the others. Instead, he pulled out his Rotom phone, waiting for it to synchronize with the Rotoms in the pirate world and update the information.
After about five minutes, the Rotom phone finally refreshed its data. In the meantime, Leo casually summoned a cloud, solidifying it with his mental power, and lay down comfortably.
The first thing he checked was the current date. The passage connecting the Reborn World and the pirate world had only been established during the third month of his "imprisonment." This meant that, for the first three months, the time Leo experienced was completely out of sync with the pirate world's timeline.
Last time, he had spent only a short while wandering in the void, but nearly a month had passed in the pirate world.
Leo could only hope that not too much time had passed this time and that he wouldn't return to find Luffy as an old man in his fifties.
With a silent prayer, Leo opened the time interface on his Rotom phone. After updating, the phone displayed the current calendar date in the pirate world.
"August 26, 1522..." Leo read aloud.
"Year 1522? Well, at least it's not as bad as before."
Seeing this date, Leo let out a sigh of relief. "If I remember correctly, I left the pirate world with Ace in April of 1520... So just over two years have passed."
"In just two years, Jessie and the others have managed to gather more than two million points... It seems like a new powerful figure has emerged in the pirate world."
With this thought, Leo began scrolling through the information collected by the Rotoms, checking it like he would a TikTok feed.
The first piece of news was from 1520—the year he had left. The Five Elders implemented the cabinet system, while they themselves stepped down. Despite the fact that none of the cabinet members were Celestial Dragons, the world government hadn't changed much and continued to function as before.
However, after the incident where one of the Celestial Dragons was assassinated, no others dared to leave the Holy Land privately in the latter half of the year. The eerie quietness that followed stood in stark contrast to the chaos in the New World.
Over in the Grand Line, after Doflamingo defeated Kaido, the New World was thrown into turmoil. Many pirates, upon hearing that Doflamingo had defeated Kaido after gaining Pokémon powers, rushed to challenge the former overlords.
However, it quickly became evident that Doflamingo's own strength, combined with his immense financial resources, had allowed him to purchase enough points to defeat the Beast Pirates. The would-be challengers, though bolstered by Pokémon, were no match for the established powers of the New World. Most were crushed by the stronger pirates, with only a handful managing to carve out small territories for themselves.
Thus, the introduction of Pokémon into the New World injected a new wave of vitality. Previously, Pokémon were mostly known only in the East Blue and the first half of the Grand Line. People in the New World had only heard about them through the news or rumors, but the appearance of new trainers gave the seasoned pirates firsthand experience of their power.
Soon, many began stockpiling resources, looking for opportunities to conduct their own dimensional trades. Enel, having established the Temple of Heaven, capitalized on this craze, collecting a large number of points and spreading the Pokémon phenomenon throughout the New World.
By the end of 1520, little else of note had occurred. The year was largely marked by smaller-scale revolutionary actions, the grand opening of East Blue Butterfly Paradise, and other relatively mundane events.
The real changes started in 1521.
Roronoa Zoro, the runner-up from the first Pokémon League tournament, established a mercenary company in East Blue. With strong backing from Laurent, another top-eight contestant, the two quickly unified much of East Blue under their influence.
Particularly after Zoro displayed strength rivaling that of an admiral in battle, the mercenary company garnered global attention.
In October of 1521, the second Pokémon League tournament was held. Despite Leo's absence, the event ran smoothly thanks to Jessie and the team's preparation. The competition was even more thrilling than the first one.
To the world's surprise, many of the top contenders from the first tournament, including Zoro and Sanji, return. Ace had been whisked away to the Reborn World, and Robin, now a massive star following her victory at the Magnificent Conference, had little reason to compete again. She had also used most of her points to resurrect those lost in the O'Hara incident, limiting her growth.
Despite the absence of these heavyweights, the second Pokémon League tournament was more spectacular than ever. The top 16 battles alone stunned the audience. Notable competitors included the Pirate Empress Hancock, Crocodile, Princess Vivi with her legendary Suicune, the genius swordswoman Kuina, and Luffy. Each competitor showcased their skills in ways that captivated the spectators.
In the end, after a year of intense growth, Zoro, whose bond with his Pokémon had evolved to nearly level 90, dominated the tournament. He defeated Sanji, Hancock, and Crocodile in the semifinals, winning the championship.
The success of Zoro's mercenary company soared, extending its reach not only throughout East Blue but also into the Grand Line and beyond.
It's a pity...
Neither Doflamingo nor Whitebeard, two of the Four Emperors, participated in the tournament, as they were busy managing their territories in the New World.
Coupled with the disappearance of the last uncrowned king, Garp, this led to widespread criticism of Zoro's title as champion.
Nevertheless, the unstoppable rise of mercenary groups spread across the world.
By the beginning of 1522, a war that shocked the world had erupted!
The conflict began in late 1521 when a Celestial Dragon, who had been relentlessly pushing to go out for entertainment, was captured by the Revolutionary Army. Following standard procedure, the World Government ordered the Navy to send an admiral to investigate.
Fleet Admiral Sengoku, mindful of the newly-formed cabinet, dispatched Kizaru and Akainu, each leading a fleet to handle the matter. However, to everyone's surprise, the two admirals, who did not possess Pokémon, were ambushed and captured by the Revolutionary Army.
Before the cabinet, already disillusioned with the Navy's failures, could reprimand them for incompetence, Sengoku turned the tables, accusing the World Government of issuing false orders. He openly rebelled, leading a significant portion of the Navy's officers and soldiers to break away from the World Government and form a new navy.
As the cabinet was still reeling from this unexpected betrayal, the Revolutionary Army launched a sudden attack on the Holy Land of Mariejois, located on the Red Line.
Despite immediate response from the Holy Knights and CP0, the Revolutionary Army, armed with the legendary Lugia and other powerful Pokémon, tore through Mariejois' defenses one after another.
At this point, it became obvious to the World Government that the Revolutionary Army had secretly allied with the breakaway Navy. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the cabinet had no choice but to call the Five Elders out of seclusion.
Although the Five Elders harbored rebellious thoughts against Imu, they had no intention of betraying the World Government. Revitalized by regaining their youth and armed with five mythical Pokémon, the Five Elders swiftly engaged in a fierce battle with the Revolutionary Army.
The war raged on for three days, with both sides suffering heavy losses before retreating.
However, unbeknownst to the World Government, the Revolutionary Army's true goal was to make the Celestial Dragons fearful enough to stop leaving Mariejois for good. Afterward, with the support of the rebel Navy, the Revolutionary Army quickly regrouped and began launching wars against member nations of the World Government one after another.
This global conflict, which began then, continues to this day, with no end in sight. Both the Revolutionary Army and the World Government are now engaged in a worldwide struggle for resources while conducting dimensional transactions.
During this time, the defeated Kaido surprisingly joined forces with Big Mom. Seizing the opportunity while the World Government and Navy were preoccupied, the two Emperors raided the treasuries of numerous nations, amassing valuable resources. They then sought out Enel, conducting a dimensional transaction that transformed the leaders of their pirate crews into powerful Pokémon trainers.
As of now, the Revolutionary Army has liberated 156 countries that were once part of the World Government, giving them the strength to contend with the World Government.
Despite the war sweeping across the globe, due to the influence of Pokémon and the inherent value of life promoted during dimensional transactions, the death toll has been surprisingly low. In fact, some battles between the two armies have ended with zero casualties.

"I can't believe how much the pirate world has changed in just over two years!" Leo mused as he sat up from his cloud, a slight smile tugging at his lips.
Although many events had unfolded differently than he expected, the war had fully ignited everyone's passion for dimensional transactions. As nations and groups conducted these transactions, all the profits ultimately flowed into Leo's pockets as a dimensional merchant.
"Perfect! Absolutely perfect!" Leo said with satisfaction.
According to the data from Rotom, the Five Elders had recently begun preparing the Holy Knights to retake the countries liberated by the Revolutionary Army.
Although the Revolutionary Army had grown in power, largely due to the ineptitude of the Celestial Dragons, who had hoarded their forces near Mariejois for protection, once this military force entered the battlefield, the outcome of the war was uncertain.
After all, the Revolutionary Army was still a relatively young organization, only a few decades old, held together by a coalition of like-minded individuals. In contrast, the World Government had existed for over 800 years.
Even with the Navy in disarray or outright rebellion, the hidden powers of the World Government were not something the rest of the world could afford to underestimate.
And with the ongoing chaos, opportunistic forces would inevitably emerge, seeking to exploit the turmoil for their own gain.
It was clear that the pirate world would remain in a state of upheaval for years to come.
"I really feel sorry for the common folk living in the pirate world," Leo sighed to himself.
But even without his influence, the fate of the people in the pirate world wouldn't be much better. With that thought, the slight sense of guilt in his heart quickly faded.
Leo then located James and Jessie through his Rotom phone.

East Blue.
Coaster Kingdom.
As a kingdom renowned for entertainment, it had gained global recognition as "the safest country in the world!"
Why?
Because not only did it boast a terrifying number of Pokémon, but it was also home to Zoro, the runner-up of the first Pokémon League Tournament and the champion of the second.
At this moment, within a side hall of Coaster Palace—a space specially reserved by Laurent for the mercenary company's cadres to rest—business was booming like never before due to the global turmoil.
Originally, the company's contracts focused on hunting down pirate groups that attacked villages. But now, entire nations had begun hiring them as a permanent defensive force.
Thanks to Laurent's insect-type Pokémon army, handling such contracts was a simple task.
And today, as the company's leadership gathered, Zoro and Laurent decided it was time to invest part of their profits in a dimensional transaction.
Their goal was to bolster the company's overall strength to better navigate the chaotic times ahead!
