Lucian pulled her along to the stable as he ordered Zane to keep guard outside the entrance and not allow anybody into the space while they were still inside. The moment they entered, Ave pulled her arm away from his grip, and he allowed her to pull away and put some distance between them. He saw her eyes hold a glare, her cheeks reddened, perhaps from embarrassment, which she tried to mask with anger. Regardless, he found that expression adorable as it was typical of Ave and not the owner of the body, who only looked at him with fear and disgust.

Though Lucian didn't like the distance she had put between them, he didn't cross it, as the last thing he needed was for her to call their earlier moment him molesting her. That angered him beyond anything, but he kept his cool and decided to address the reason he'd brought her into the stables first.
