Chapitre 192: ANXIETY IN WAITING

GREGORY'S POV

I spent the night at Ross's apartment, leaving early before he even woke up. By the time I got home, I felt the exhaustion creeping in, so I showered and crashed into bed. It wasn't long before the incessant buzzing of my phone woke me up. Groggy, I glanced at the screen, and Ross's name flashed on the caller ID. I sighed, knowing exactly why he was calling to complain that I had snuck out without a word.

I ignored it, letting the call ring out. But then, something caught my eye. A string of missed calls. My heart skipped a beat as I sat up in bed, scrolling through my phone. Laurene had called three hours ago,three hours! My stomach twisted in shock and disbelief. How hadn't I heard it?
