Pissed. That is what I was—beyond pissed. The kind of anger that simmered so deep it made my hands tremble. I could not believe how much Maurice had taken from Armand Inc., how much he had stolen right under their nose. He had been here for three years—three whole years of walking these halls, learning our AI algorithms and getting close to company secrets. And they had trusted him, given him access to everything.

The thought of it made me want to punch something. Hell, confronting him and landing a punch square on his jaw would have made me feel better, but I was too furious to act on impulse. No, this was deeper than just rage.

Armand and I left the seventh floor, and I followed him silently but present, as we headed straight for the lounge in his office. The anger still boiled inside me, and I could barely see straight, my thoughts racing faster than I could process them.
