Chapter 3: A Sappy Ending

(Mew and her friends continue to travel to the Violet City gym.)

(where Mew hopes to compete for her first Johto League badge.)

(As of now, they're strolling through a beautiful and leafy forest.)

(Suddenly, they come across dead and dried up trees.)

Mew: "Hey, that's weird. The whole forest is green, except for those trees there."

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "I agree,"

(Tomo says.)

Misty: "Yeah. They don't have a single leaf left on their branches,"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "The trees don't look burned, and it's not fall yet, so it's too early for the leaves to drop off,"

(Brock says.)

Pikachu: "Pikachu," (That is strange.)

(Pikachu says.)

(Meloetta sadly says.)

Meloetta: "Lotta," (Poor trees.)

(Suddenly, the Pokemon senses something.)

Mew: "What's out there guys?"

(Mew asks.)

(Brock notices something ahead.)

Brock: "Guys, look over there!"

(Everyone turns to where Brock is pointing too.)

Misty: "What are they?"

(Misty asks.)

Jen: "They're big,"

(Jen says.)

Tomo: "And blue,"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "And buggy,"

(Mew adds.)

(The group looks ahead to see multiple Pokemon are eating tree sap in front of the trees.)

(The Pokemon are bipedal, stag beetle-like Pokémon covered in a blue exoskeleton.)

(There is a long, pronged horn on its forehead.)

(The horn ends in a cross on males and a heart-shape on females.)

(On either side of the horn is a short antenna with a spherical tip.)

(It has oval, yellow eyes.)

(Its forearms have a pair of spikes near the wrists, while its thighs have a single spike each.)

(It has two claws on its hands, and a single long claw on each foot.)

(There is a single pair of wings covered by elytra.)

Misty: "That's a lot of Bug Pokemon in one tree,"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "Yeah. There's so many,"

(Jen says.)

Mew: "Those are Heracross,"

(Mew says, and takes out her Pokedex.)

(Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Heracross, the Single Horn Pokémon. A Bug and Fighting Type. Though gentle and docile, Heracross possesses great strength and power. Their favorite food is the fresh sap of leafy trees."

Tomo: "It looks like we've arrived in the middle of their lunch,"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "Yeah. It's best if we leave them alone. I sure don't like to bother them, plus Heracross are part of an ecosystem,"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, they hear someone say.)

???: "You are correct, miss."

(The group turns to see a grown man approaching them.)

(He's wearing an orange bodysuit, with white gloves, a white shirt underneath, a pith helmet, and a backpack on his back.)

(He also has brown hair and a beard.)

The man: "If you try to capture the Heracross, you might be responsible for causing more harm to this forest than you know,"

(The man says.)

Jen: "Who are you?"

(Jen asks.)

(Then the man introduces himself.)

Woodruff: "My name is Woodruff. I'm a ranger for the Forest and Wildlife Bureau."

Mew: "My name's Mew,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "And mine's Brock,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "And my name's Misty,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "I'm Tomo,"

(Tomo says.)

Jen: "And I'm Jen,"

(Jen says.)

Woodruff: "Well, I imagine that you are all experienced trainers,"

(Woodruff says.)

Mew: "Right,"

(Mew says.)

Woodruff: "Well, I'm sure you're eager to catch as many Heracross as you can, but you might cause a great deal of damage to this forest if you do,"

(Woodruff says.)

Jen: "Really?"

(Jen asks.)

Woodruff: "It's important to understand how delicate the balance of nature can be,"

(Woodruff says.)

Tomo: "Whaddya mean?"

(Tomo asks.)

(Then Woodruff explains.)

Woodruff: "To survive in this forest, Butterfree needs Heracross to live with them side by side."

Tomo: "How's that help the Butterfree?"

(Tomo asks.)

(Everyone turns to see some Butterfree flocking to the tree the Heracross are feeding on.)

(Soon, Jen understands.)

Jen: "I see what you mean! The Butterfree are too weak to dig into the trees."

Brock: "They need the Heracross to break through the bark of the tree and start the sap flowing,"

(Brock says.)

Mew: "The Heracross eat their fill, and the Butterfree lick the leftovers. Everybody eats, and everybody's happy,"

(Mew says.)

(But Misty says.)

Misty: "I wouldn't be so sure about that."

(and look at the tree.)

(Then Misty says.)

Misty: "The Butterfree and the Heracross may be helping each other with their symbiotic relationship, but they're hurting the forest."

Mew: "Nature must be out of balance,"

(Mew says.)

Woodruff: "I'm afraid that balance has been destroyed by a dangerous band of invaders,"

(Woodruff says.)

(This shocked the group.)

Brock: "What kind of invaders are they?"

(Brock asks.)

(Soon, Pikachu and Eevee sense something and turn to the tree.)

(Mew notices.)

Mew: "Pikachu and Eevee sense something!"

(Eevee calls out.)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Over there!)

(Everyone looks to where Eevee is pointing to, and they see a swarm of Pinsir approaching them.)

Misty: "Oh no!"

(Misty says, shocked.)

Brock: "Here they come!"

(Brock says.)

Jen: "Those must be the invaders!"

(Jen says.)

Mew: "They're Pinsir,"

(Mew says.)

Woodruff: "Yes,"

(Woodruff says.)

Woodruff: "They're the invaders. If they're not stopped, they'll suck the whole forest bone dry!"

(Everyone is in shock when Woodruff explains what the Pinsir might do if things are left alone.)

Tomo: "That's terrible!"

(Tomo says.)

(Soon, the Pinsir begins climbing the tree the Butterfree and Heracross are feeding from and scare the Butterfree away.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Knock it off, Pinsir! Go eat someplace else!"

Tomo: "Leave those Heracross alone!"

(Tomo calls out.)

Jen: "Stop scaring the Butterfree!"

(Jen calls out.)

(Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Come on, Heracross! Those Pinsir will take your tree if you don't do something!"

(Soon, the Heracross spread their wings and went on the offensive.)

Misty: "That's the spirit!"

(Misty cheers.)

(Mew cheers.)

Mew: "Chase those Pinsir out of there!"

(However, the Pinsir start showing their claws, fighting the Heracross into retreating.)

(leaving the girls dumbfounded.)

(Misty asks.)

Misty: "What happened? Why did all the Heracross bug out and fly away?"

Woodruff: "Heracross could chase off those Pinsir, but they're just too peaceful and friendly. The Heracross would rather take flight than stay around and fight,"

(Woodruff says.)

Mew: "Sometimes, that's a pretty smart philosophy,"

(Mew mutters.)

Brock: "Yeah, but if the Heracross don't fight off the Pinsir, all the trees the Butterfree feed on will be destroyed,"

(Brock says.)

(Just then, Mew looks at the tree to see a Butterfree stayed behind.)

Mew: "Looks like trouble!"

(They look to see a Butterfree is trapped and surrounded by the Pinsir.)

(Suddenly, a Heracross pops up to defend the lone Butterfree, surprising the group.)

Mew: "A Heracross!"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "It's trying to protect that Butterfree that got left behind!"

(Brock says.)

(The Pinsir go on the attack, outnumbering the lone Pokemon.)

Mew: "They're ganging up on Heracross! I gotta help it!"

(Mew says.)

(Then calls out.)

Mew: "I choose you, Bulbasaur!"

(Then Bulbasaur comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, use your Vine Whip attack!"

Bulbasaur: "Bulba!" (On it!)

(Bulbasaur says.)

(Bulbasaur soon performs the attack knocking the Pinsir out of the tree.)

(allowing the Butterfree to escape, but Heracross stays behind.)

Brock: "Now that Heracross is too exhausted to fly away!"

(Brock says.)

(Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Quick, Mew! Heracross doesn't stand a chance against that army!"

(The Pinsir starts climbing up the tree.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "Quick Pikachu, Thunderbolt attack!"

(Pikachu soon performs a Thunderbolt that knocks several Pinsir off the body of the tree.)

Mew: "Nice work!"

(Mew says.)

(However, the Herd of Pinsir gets back up and now have their attention at Pikachu.)

(Then they charge towards Pikachu.)

(Pikachu dodges in time and leaps over them.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, use your Thunder!"

(Pikachu fires the attacks and lands at Pinsir, surprising Heracross.)

(Then the Pinsir retreated.)

(Mew walks to the tree.)

Mew: "You can come on down now, Heracross! Those Pinsir are gone!"

(Heracross flies down and walks towards the two.)

Mew: "Hey, look! Heracross wants to thank Bulbasaur and Pikachu,"

(Mew happily says.)

(Suddenly, however, Heracross is starting to drink the nectar from Bulbasaur's bulk.)

Brock: "Guess again! It's sucking all the nectar out of Bulbasaur's bulb!"

(Brock says, shocked.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Heracross stop! Bulbasaur doesn't like it!"

(Bulbasaur doesn't like it at all and angrily says.)

Bulbasaur: "Bulba...Bulbasaur!" (Please get...off of me!)

(and swat it away with Vine Whip.)

Brock: "Looks like Heracross learned the hard way that there is no free lunch,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "I think we all got suckered in. Heracross wasn't trying to protect Butterfree, it was just hungry for more tree sap,"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "Maybe,"

(Brock says.)

Mew: "OK, so who cares if Heracross is trying to protect its own food? We helped it scare off the Pinsir..."

(Mew says.)

(But gives them a serious frown.)

Mew: "For now though."

Jen: "What do you mean?"

(Jen asks.)

Woodruff: "Mew's right. I'm afraid it won't be long before the Pinsir come right back,"

(Woodruff says.)

Brock: "What?"

(Brock asks.)

Misty: "Why are they coming here?"

(Misty asks.)

(Woodruff explains.)

Woodruff: "The Pinsir and the Heracross have always lived together in peace because they each had their own forest. But recently, something's been driving the Pinsir across the river from their forest and into Heracross territory. I'm afraid I don't know why they're coming here yet, Misty, but if I can find out, maybe I can stop it."

Brock: "It's a real bad situation!"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "Yeah,"

(Tomo replies.)

Misty: "It's really bad,"

(Misty says, worried.)

Brock: "If we don't do something to help, the whole forest could be destroyed!"

(Brock says.)

Mew: "And many Pokemon might end up losing their homes or their food,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "You're right,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "We'll do everything we can to help you save the forest if you let us,"

(Mew says.)

Woodruff: "Great. Let's head for the Pinsir forest,"

(Woodruff says.)

(Soon, everyone heads towards the forest of the Pinsir.)

Woodruff: "It'll be slow-going, the underbrush here is pretty thick,"

(Woodruff says.)

Mew: "We'll fix that,"

(Mew says.)

(Then calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, Razor Leaf through!"

Bulbasaur: "Bulbasaur!" (You got it!)

(Bulbasaur says, and uses Razor Leaf to cut through the thick foliage.)

Mew: "There. Nothing to it,"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, Mew turns her head to see Heracross from earlier is behind them.)

(The others notice as well.)

Brock: "Don't look now, but we've got some company,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "I bet Heracross wants to be a nectar protector,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur won't like that,"

(Mew says.)

Bulbasaur: Bulba? Saur?" (They what? Nectar?)

(Bulbasaur asks, shocked.)

(Bulbasaur charges and uses Razor Leaf on Heracross.)

Bulbasaur: "Bulba, Bulbasaur! Bulbasaur!" (Hey now, keep away! No free lunch!)

(Soon Heracross stops in its tracks, allowing the group to proceed onward.)

(Sometime later, Woodruff says.)

Woodruff: "The path should be clear now, Mew. We're through the biggest part of the woods."

Mew: "Great,"

(Mew says, and calls back Bulbasaur.)

Mew: "Take a rest, Bulbasaur. Good job."

(Bulbasaur returns to the Pokeball, and the group continues on.)

(However, they stop to see a large cliff.)

Everyone: "Whoa!"

(Everyone says, surprised.)

Misty: "Look at how deep that canyon is!"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "Very deep,"

(Jen says.)

Woodruff: "Yes, it's quite a drop. The Pinsir forest is on the other side of the river,"

(Woodruff says.)

Tomo: "Do we have to climb down and all the way back up to get there?"

(Tomo asks.)

Woodruff: "No. Lucky for us, there's an old rope bridge a little further upriver,"

(Woodruff says.)

(However, when they arrive, they find the bridge is practically shattered.)

(Woodruff is shocked.)

Woodruff: "Oh, no! I was just here a week ago and the bridge was fine!"

Jen: "Maybe it wore out and the ropes finally broke!"

(Jen says.)

(Then Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "How are we going to get to the Pinsir forest now?"

(Misty looks down and notices something.)

Misty: "Hm. Hey, look over there! The Pinsir have their own way across!"

(Everyone looks down to see the Pinsir hopping across the tree branches along the opposite walls of the canyon in order to cross.)

Jen: "You don't suppose the Pinsir could have cut the bridge?"

(Jen asks.)

Brock: "I don't know. Why would they take the time to do something like that?"

(Brock replies.)

Mew: "I highly doubt they would do something like that,"

(Mew says.)

(Woodruff holds a piece of rope and says.)

Woodruff: "Mew is right, it wasn't the Pinsir. Pinsir don't cut things like this. These ropes were sawed up by a human being."

Misty: "Who'd wanna go and do that?"

(Misty asks.)

Brock: "Must be someone who doesn't want anyone snooping around the Pinsir's forest,"

(Brock says.)

Mew: "That probably explains why the Pinsir are coming to this forest, someone's driving them out of their home,"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to the broken bridge.)

Mew: "Well, they're not gonna stop us! We're going to that Pinsir forest, no matter what!"

Brock: "But how do we get there?"

(Brock asks.)

Misty: "Yeah, how? It's a long way down,"

(Misty says, worried.)

Mew: "There's just gotta be a way across,"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, the group hears something close by, and turns to see Heracross pushing on a tree.)

Misty: "Look at that. Hey, we're trying to save the forest here and all you can think about is sucking sap!"

(Misty says.)

(But Brock says.)

Brock: "Wait, guys. Maybe we were wrong."

Tomo, Mew, Misty and Jen: "Huh?"

(Tomo and the girls reply.)

Brock: "Maybe it's trying to help. Maybe it's gotta plan,"

(Brock says.)

(Soon, Heracross pushes the tree down to make a bridge for Mew and the others to use.)

Mew: "Wow. Heracross built us a bridge and now we can walk right across,"

(Mew says.)

Pikachu: "Pika!" (Not bad!)

(Pikachu says.)

(Soon, the group begins walking on the bridge.)

(Some of the Pokemon are nervous to walk along the tree, especially Amaura.)

(Jen reassures her.)

(However, Misty refuses to walk.)

(Misty cries out.)

Misty: "You're nuts! There's no way I'm crossing this thing!"

(Just then, Togpei and Pichu jump off of Misty's arms and walk on the tree.)

(Misty cries out.)

Misty: "Togepi! Pichu! Togepi, Pichu, come back here!"

(Togepi soon slips, but Misty catches him in the nick of time.)

(Then quickly grabs Pichu in her arms.)

Misty: "Well, now that we're out here, we might as well cross,"

(Misty says, and crawls along the tree until she reaches the other side.)

(Mew then turns to the tree and calls out.)

Mew: "Hey, Heracross, aren't you coming along?"

(However they see Heracross sucking up more saf from the makeshift bridge.)

Misty: "I think Heracross knocked down that tree so it could knock down some sap,"

(Misty says.)

(Mew giggles and says.)

Mew: "What a sap."

Jen: "With all that eating where the sap goes?"

(Jen asks.)

(After getting across the canyon, Mew and the others continue to travel to the Pinsir forest.)

(but Heracross continues to follow them.)

Mew: "Heracross is still following us,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "It probably thinks that all of us are saps,"

(Misty says.)

(Then Woodruff says.)

Woodruff: "Get ready. We have to stay alert, we're almost at the Pinsir forest now."

Mew: "Oh, great,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Oh, that's great. Lots more Pinsir,"

(Misty says, not very happy about it.)

(The group continued forward with Heracross close behind.)

(Soon, Woodruff comes to a stop.)

Woodruff: "Up there. The tallest tree. That's where the Pinsir live."

Skwovet: "Skwovet," (It's huge.)

(Skwovet says.)

(Soon, the group arrives near the tree while hiding in the bushes to avoid being seen.)

(Mew soon spots something above the tree.)

Mew: "Look! Up near the top!"

Tomo: "It's a giant Pinsir!"

(Tomo says.)

Misty: "Wow! I didn't know Pinsir got that big,"

(Misty says, surprised.)

(But Woodruff says.)

Woodruff: "They don't, but that's not a Pinsir! It's some kind of robot that looks like one! It's huge. And it looks like it was built out of steel."

Jen: "It's a monster!"

(Jen says.)

Misty: "Who would build something that creepy?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "I can only name one group who would do something like this,"

(Mew says.)

(Right on cue, familiar evil laughs are heard.)

Jessie: Prepare for trouble while we're in the woods!

James: Make it double, we're up to no good!

(And Mew's suspicions are right, Team Rocket makes an appearance.)

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all people within our nation!

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight, right?

Meowth: Dat's right!

Tomo: "Well, there's the answer to your creepy question!"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "I should have known Team Rocket would do something like this,"

(Mew says.)

Woodruff: "So you're the ones responsible for that mechanical Pinsir!"

(Woodruff says angrily.)

Meowth: "That's right, we found an ad in the back of Popular Pokémon and sent away for the plans,"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "Tell them the story,"

(Jessie says.)

(And Meowth begins to tell them the story.)

Meowth: "We was hungry. It seems like only yesterday, but it was two days ago."

[Flashback:]

(A couple of days ago, one evening in the forest.)

James: "Oooooooh,"

(James says, exhausted.)

Jessie: "Ahhhhhhh"

(Jessie says, feeling tired.)

(Turns out the three are climbing up the mountain and supporting themselves with sticks, and look tired.)

James: "I thought... this hike, would be... a piece of cake!"

(James says, tired.)

Meowth: "This is a fine kettle of fish for Team Rocket, isn't it?"

(Meowth says.)

James: "We're in a jam,"

(James says.)

(Then Jessie whines.)

Jessie: "Stop!"

(And Team Rocket collapses.)

Meowth: "I'm too starved to eat,"

(Meowth says from hunger.)

(Suddenly, a heavenly aroma twitches at Meowth's nostril and perks him back up.)

Meowth: "Hey! That smell! This could be our breakfast!"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "French toast?!"

James: "Or Belgium Waffles?!"

(James ass.)

(Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Follow me!"

(The three charges towards the smell eagerly, and soon comes to a stop.)

Meowth: "It's coming from there!"

(Meowth says.)

(They soon realize that the smell is coming from a massive tree of the Pinsir.)

(noticing the sap running out of the tree.)

Jessie: "That gloopy goop looks disgusting!"

(Jessie says.)

(Then turns to James.)

Jessie: "Are you going to try it, James?"

James: "I'm not going to try it. Let Meowth try it,"

(James refuses.)

(Meowth soon starts licking the sap.)

(Meowth happily says.)

Meowth: "Hey! I like it! Meowthy likes it!"

(and continues to lick the sap.)

Jessie: "If I weren't so famished, I wouldn't even consider touching this sappy stuff, but…"

(Jessie says.)

(She then touches some of the sap with her finger and lightly places it in her mouth.)

(She gasps in flight.)

Jessie: "It's tasty!"

(James tries it too, and begins to take a few of the sticky fluid into his mouth as he sings a happy little song.)

James: "It's sweet, and it's yummy... it tastes like honey! It delicious... and nutritious and... it's free!"

Meowth: "This junk tastes better than maple syrup if you ask me!"

(Meowth says.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "You've just given me a million dollar idea."

Meowth: "I could use the million bucks. Can I have it back?"

(Meowth asks.)

(But Jessie says.)

Jessie: "No, it belongs to me."

(Then explains.)

Jessie: "I'll open an exclusive pancake house and instead of using maple syrup I'll slap on the sap! Then I'll add my own blend of limburger cheese and Cajun curry powder! Oooh! And I'll call the place The International House of Jessie!"

(James and Meowth's faces look disgusted by Jessie's recipe.)

James: "It sounds like a recipe for disaster,"

(James says.)

Meowth: "A million dollar disaster,"

(Meowth says.)

[Flashback Ends:]

(Mew and the others, including Woodruff and the Pokemon have disgusted expressions on their faces.)

Everyone: "Ewwwww…"

Mew: "That's gross,"

(Mew says, disgusted.)

Tomo: "Yucky,"

(Tomo says in disgust.)

Skwovet: "Skwovet Skwovet," (Even I wouldn't eat that.)

(Skwovet says and covers his mouth.)

(Then Meowth evilly says.)

Meowth: "We decided the pancake house idea was a little too flippy to fly, so we came up with a better idea, and built our own mechanical Pinsir to suck up all the sap in the forest."

(and laughs.)

Jessie: "We'll use it to create a new taste sensation, Rocket Sauce!"

(Jessie says.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Then, when we put the stuff in bottles and sell it at all night convenience stores..."

James: "We'll be dripping in money!"

(James says.)

(Soon, all three start laughing.)

(Hearing that, now the situation with the balance of nature has become clear.)

(Brock says.)

Brock: "Now I get it! The Pinsir invaded Heracross territory to look for food, cause Team Rocket's been draining all theirs away."

Misty: "If they steal all the sap, the whole forest could be destroyed!"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Not to mention the Pokemon will lose their food and their home,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Woodruff says.)

Woodruff: "This is exactly what happens when humans use nature selfishly without thinking about the consequences first!"

Mew: "That's right!"

(Mew says.)

Mew: "The Heracross and Pinsir got along fine until the three of you showed up here! You want to get rich so you brought in your sucking machine and threw off the whole balance of nature!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

Jessie: "Who cares about any of that?! The only balance we care about is the balance of our checking account!"

James: "This situation is about to get sticky!"

(James says.)

(Then Jessie throws her Pokeball.)

Jessie: "Lickitung, I choose you!"

(Then Lickitung comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Then James calls out.)

James: "Victreebel, I choose you!"

(Then Victreebel comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Just then, James starts running towards and into some bushes.)

(Soon, he realizes something is off.)

(Confused, James says.)

James: "That's funny. I wonder why Victreebel's not attacking me."

(Then sees Victreebel eating the sap.)

(James calls out.)

James: "Hey, you're eating up our profit, you yellow-bellied sapsucker!"

(Victreebel retaliates and starts munching on James.)

James: "Sorry, I didn't mean it! Let me go, please!"

(Jessie notices Lickitung licking the same.)

(Jessie demands.)

Jessie: "What are you doing?! You're supposed to lick the twerps, not the sap!"

Meowth: "The real Pokémon are out to lunch,"

(Meowth says, dumbfounded.)

(Then brings out the remote.)

Meowth: "This looks like a job for Super Pinsir!"

(Wth the work on the control the Robotic Pinsir stops sucking the sap.)

(and leaps down to face Mew and the others.)

Meowth: "This little suck-bucket was made for collecting sap, but it's a pretty mean crusher in a pinch!"

(Meowth says.)

(The robot soon prepares to attack.)

(Mew throws her Pokeball and calls out.)

Mew: "I choose you, Bulbasaur!"

(Bulbasaur comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Go, Bulbasaur! Razor Leaf attack!"

(Bulbasaur performs Razor Leaf to attack the robot.)

(but the attack bounces off the Pinsir robot's steel skin.)

Meowth: "Bulbasaur thought it could stop our Pinsir by putting their petals to the metal,"

(Meowth says, causing James to laugh.)

Jessie: "That was a good one!"

(Jessie says.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip!"

(Bulbasaur uses Vine Whip to coil around the robot and spin it around like a top, making the robotic Pinsir dizzy somehow.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, finish things off with your Thunder Shock attack!

(Pikachu launches the attack and it lands.)

(It causes the meter on Meowth's control box to move towards the full mark.)

(Meowth smirks and says.)

Meowth: "That's right, fill her up, Pikachu. This thing absorbs electric attacks, and when it gets enough stuff, it can shock you right back!"

(Soon, the robotic monster absorbs the last of Pikachu's attacks.)

Meowth: "Let the bug juice flow!"

(Meowth says.)

(The robotic Pinsir launches a Thunderbolt right at the group, and strikes them with full force.)

Jessie: "That cut those saplings down to size!"

(Jessie says.)

(Then James says.)

James: "Zap em again! Zap em again! Harder!"

(Meowth laughs.)

Meowth: "Now we'll show those so-called heroes what it's like to have a real power failure!"

(The robotic Pokemon soon approaches them.)

Misty: "It's coming this way! What do to we do?"

(Misty panics.)

(Everyone braces themselves for the final blow, but the attack doesn't come.)

(Mew lifts her head to see Heracross, fighting off the robot Pinsir.)

Mew: "It's Heracross!"

(Mew says, surprised.)

(Fearing for Mew and her friends' safety, Haracross is grappling with the robotic Pinsir with all his might.)

Meowth: "Come on! Our mechanical Pinsir should be able to crush that Heracross like a bug!"

(Meowth calls out.)

(The mechanical Pinsir starts to push Heracross back.)

Mew: "Hang in there, Heracross!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Soon, Heracross starts pushing the robot back.)

(Brock cheers.)

Brock: "Keep pushing! You're doing great!"

Misty: "You're our new hero, Heracross!"

(Misty calls out.)

Jen: "You can do it, Heracross!"

(Jen cheers.)

Tomo: "Go Go!"

(Tomo cheers.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Come on, guys! If we hurry, we can take the Robo-Pinsir's sap tank away!"

(Everyone rushes to the back of the robot and quickly tries to remove the tan.)

(Jessie calls out.)

Jessie: "We've gotta stop them, Meowth!"

James: "Do something quick, Meowth, before they get away without hard-earned sap!"

(James says.)

Meowth: "I'm trying to, but this stupid stick is stuck!"

(Meowth says, struggling to have the control.)

(Jessie takes the remote.)

Jessie: "Give me that thing!"

(James tries to take the remote.)

James: "Let me handle this, Jessie!"

(Soon, the two begin fighting over the remote.)

(Meowth shouts at them.)

Meowth: "Hey! Get your paws off! I wanna run it! Give it back!"

(and tries to take it away.)

(But they end up breaking the remote.)

(Meowth screams.)

Meowth: "YOU BROKE MY TOY!"

(While the three are fighting, Mew and the others are able to successfully remove the tank from the robot.)

Mew: "Okay, we got all the sap back, Heracross, and we're ready to go!"

(Mew says.)

Mew: "Send that robot flying."

(Heracross understands with a nod, and begins to lift the robot with all of his strength, amazing everyone.)

(And with all his strength, Heracross tosses the robot in the air.)

Mew: "Alright!"

(Mew cheers.)

(Team Rocket panics in fear.)

(The mecha Pinsir crashes to the ground and explodes with impact, sending Team Rocket flying.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Looks like Team Rocket's bugging out again!"

(And Team Rocket is gone.)

Mew: "Heracross wins the match!"

(Mew cheers.)

Misty: "You're our hero!"

(Misty cheers.)

Tomo: "You go, Heracross!"

(Tomo cheers.)

(Suddenly, everyone hears something, and looks to see the herd of Pinsir.)

Mew: "The Pinsir!"

(Mew says, surprised.)

Brock: "Hey, now that Team Rocket's gone, the Pinsir are coming back,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "Well, you know what they say, 'There's No Place like Home.'"

(Misty says.)

Woodruff: "Yes, that's right, Misty. These Pinsir won't need to leave their habitat, and the Pokémon can live in harmony,"

(Woodruff says.)

(Soon, the Pinsir start feeding on their tree sap again as well as the sap in the tank left by Mew and the others.)

(They soon reach the Heracross territory and see the Heracross and Butterfree deeding again.)

Mew: "Now the Butterfree and the Heracross can live in peace again. Here, in their own forest,"

(Mew says.)

(Woodruff says.)

Woodruff: "That's right, Mew. The trees are safe, the balance of nature has been restored, and things are back to the way they should be."

(Then Heracross walks over to Mew and the others.)

Mew: "You were awesome, Heracross! You stood up to Team Rocket and their Robo-Pinsir and everything worked out perfectly,"

(Mew happily says.)

(Misty agrees.)

Misty: "You were really brave, Heracross."

Mew: "You're a great Pokémon, and we'll really miss you,"

(Mew says.)

(Soon, everyone takes their leave as Woodruff bids them farewell.)

Woodruff: "Thank you! And good luck on your Pokémon journey!"

(Woodruff says.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Thanks, Woodruff!"

(Soon, Mew and the others walk out of sight of both Woodruff and Heracross.)

(Later along the road, Mew and the others are still traveling to Violet City.)

(Suddenly, Pikachu and Eevee sense something behind them.)

Mew: "What's the matter, guys?"

(Mew asks.)

(Pikachu says.)

Pikachu: "Pikachu!" (Look who's coming!)

(Everyone looks behind to see Heracross following them.)

(Mew is surprised.)

Mew: "Hey. What's Heracross doing way out here?

Misty: "Where are you going, Heracross? Aren't you staying with your friends?"

(Misty asks.)

(Heracross shakes his head, meaning no.)

Misty: "I don't get it. What does it want?"

(Misty replies, confused.)

Brock: "I don't know. You think maybe it wants to come along with us?"

(Brock replies.)

(Mew walks forward and asks.)

Mew: "Is that what you want, Heracross? Do you want to come and be with me?"

(Heracross nods his head.)

Mew: "Alright!"

(Mew says.)

(Mew then brings out her Pokeball and gives Heracross a gentle tap without resistance.)

(Soon, Heracross is now with Mew's Team.)

Mew: "Looks like Heracross chose me,"

(Mew says.)

(Everyone laughs and cheers to see Mew has a new travel companion, and now they have a new companion on the team.)

(Now they continue with their journey to Violet City.)
