Chapter 13: The Stage Fight!

(One bright sunny day, taking a small break from traveling.)

(Mew and her friends have stopped at an Island.)

(that has a large white showboat at the docks.)

(On the boat, there are a lot of people and Pokemon on it.)

(and everyone is excited.)

(Around the area, a clown and Mr. Mime are handing out posters.)

(The clown calls out.)

The clown: "Come one! Come all! To the Pokemon Show Boat!"

(Mr. Mime happily says.)

Mr. Mime: "Mime. Mime Mime."

(as Chansey says.)

Chansey: "Chansey!"

(The clown continues.)

The clown: "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! This is positively your last chance to see this entertainment extravaganza before the show sails off.

Mew: "Sounds like fun, huh, guys?"

(Mew says.)

Pikachu: "Pika!" (Sure does!)

(Pikachu says.)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Sounds exciting!)

(Eevee says.)

Tracey: "I've heard about these show boats, but I've never been on one."

(Tracey says.)

(Then Misty asks.)

Misty: "Why don't we go, guys?"

Mew: "Okay! Let's go!"

(Mew says.)

(With that, Mew and her friends attend the show.)

(When the shoe starts, the spotlight shines down on Hitmonchan, and it's breathing heavily like a human.)

(Soon, Hitmonchan begins to speak like a human man.)

Hitmonchan: "I can't walk away! I've got to stand right here and fight! Or I'd. I'd never forgive myself!"

(A Clefable who is in tears and out of the ring that Hitmonchan is revealed to be in.)

(Clefable begins to talk in sadness.)

Clefable: "No matter what happens, I'll, be right here."

(On the other ring is a Machoke, wearing blue boxing gloves.)

(Machoke speaks as well.)

Machoke: "You better get ready to lose, 'cause I'm gonna be the champion."

(Soon, the bell rings and the Pokemon charge for the attack.)

(Machoke throws the first attack with a right while Hitmonchan throws a left.)

(Then Hitmonchan calls out.)

Hitmonchan: "Pulse Counter Punch!"

(With that, they both strike the attack at each other's cheek.)

(but Machoke is the one who falls over in the matter of seconds.)

(Then Machoke says.)

Machoke: "I lost!"

(and falls over.)

(Just then, Abra comes into the ring and starts counting to ten.)

Abra: "One! Two! Three! Four! Five! Six! Seven! Eight! Nine! Ten!"

(With that, Abra announces.)

Abra: "Hitmonchan is the winner!"

Hitmonchan: "Hoorah!"

(Hitmonchan cheers, raising his fist.)

(Clefable climbs into the ring and rushes towards Hitmonchan.)

Clefable: "Hitmonchan!"

Hitmonchan: "Victory!"

(Hitmonchan cheers.)

(The two Pokemon run and give each other a hug.)

(Clefable happily says in tears.)

Clefable: "Congratulations, darling!"

Hitmonchan: "I owe it all to you, my love."

(Hitmonchan says.)

(Soon, it shows the audience watching the show.)

(which means the fight is all part of the show for the Pokemon Show Boat.)

(Soon, the narrator says over the speakers.)

the narrator: "And so, Hitmonchan defeated his rival, Machoke."

(Everyone in the audience applauds.)

(Even Mew and her friends on the stage.)

Mew: "Way to go, Hitmonchan!"

(Mew cheers.)

Tracey: "Great acting,"

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "I love Clefable,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "That was cool,"

(Tomo says.)

(Unknown to Misty and the others, Togepi and Pichu hop off of Misty's lap and both run off.)

(Mew smiles and says.)

Mew: "Meowth isn't the only one who can talk, after all."

Tracey: "Speaking as a Pokemon Watcher, I've never seen anything like this."

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "Yeah,"

(Misty says.)

(Then looks down to notice Pichu and Togepi are missing.)

Misty: "Uh oh. Togepi? Pichu?"

(Misty turns to Mew and asks.)

Misty: "Mew, did either you or any of the others see where Togepi and Pichu went?"

(Hearing that, Mew Pikachu, Eevee, Tomo, Meloetta, and Skwovet look around for Togepi and Pichu.)

(Soon, Mew notices the two little Pokemon heading to the backstage area.)

Mew: "There they are,"

(Mew says.)

(They look to see Togpei and Pichu are walking up the stairs to where the stage is.)

(Once up the stairs, they begin to walk behind the curtains backstage.)

(Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Togepi! Pichu!"

(and rushes to get her Pokemon.)

Mew: "Hey, wait up!"

(Mew calls out, following Misty.)

(Tomo, Pikachu, Eevee, Meloetta, and Skwovet follow after them, catching Tomo's attention.)

(Soon, the two little Pokemon find themselves in the backstage area.)

(The narrator announces.)

The narrator: "Now, with Machoke finally defeated, Clefable hoped that Hitmonchan would give up fighting forever and promise to never go away again."

(Togepi and Pichu turn to see the Pokemon on stage.)

(They both are excited and decide to walk on to the stage.)

(But Misty is able to catch them.)

Misty: "Togepi! Pichu!"

(and picks them up in her arms.)

Misty: "You can't just run out onstage."

(Mew and the others are able to catch up with them.)

(Suddenly, Mew notices something off to her right.)

Mew: "Hey, what are they doing?"

(Everyone turned their heads to see three people standing in front of microphones.)

(Then the narrator says.)

the narrator: "But that was one promise Hitmonchan could never make."

(On the stage, Hitmonchan says.)

Hitmonchan: "Clefable, I cannot stay. I was blessed with this talent and I must test how far it can take me."

Clefable: "I understand, Hitmonchan. But I'll wait for you, and I know you'll return as the world champion."

(Clefable says.)

Hitmonchan: "I hope so,"

(Hitmonchan says.)

(The man then speaks to Hitmonchan.)

The man: "I love you, Clefable, very much."

(The woman says in Clefable's voice.)

The woman: "And I love you, Hitmonchan."

(It doesn't take long for Mew and the others to know what's going on.)

Tracey: "Hey, these actors were talking for the Pokemon the whole time."

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. They sure fooled me."

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "Yeah, but we better leave before someone sees us."

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, they hear someone whisper.)

???: "Quiet!"

(They turn around to see a woman with brown twin braided hair with pink ribbons and blue eyes.)

(She is wearing a blue shirt, light green pants.)

(The girl says.)

???: "Please, keep your voices down backstage."

Tracey: "Oh, I'm sorry, miss,"

(Tracey says.)

(Soon, the girl notices Mew's Pikachu and asks.)

???: "Excuse me, but is that your Pikachu?"

Mew: "Yeah, he sure is,"

(Mew says.)

???: "Oh, it must be nice to be so close,"

(The girl says.)

(Mew and Pikachu are confused.)

(when they hear the girl's statement and don't understand what she means.)

Pikachu: "Pika"? (So close?)

(Pikachu says, confused.)

(Suddenly, they hear the audience erupt in grand applause.)

(as the Pokemon actors take the stage for the curtain call to take a bow.)

(Then Hitmonchan says.)

Hitmonchan: "We hope you enjoyed tonight's presentation!"

Clefable: "Thank you for coming and we hope you enjoyed the show!"

(Clefable says.)

(And with that, the Pokemon cast begins to perform a line dance routine to close out the show.)

(Back stage, one of the men walks over to the girl and says.)

the men: "Kay, let's have Raichu join the finale."

Kay: "Oh, okay,"

(The girl, Kay says.)

(Then turns her head.)

Kay: "Raichu! You're on!"

(Soon, a Raichu nervously and sadly steps out from behind the crates.)

Kay: "Hey! It's time to go on and dance with the others."

(Kay says.)

(Raichu, however, sadly turns away, not wanting to go on.)

(Kay asks in concern.)

Kay: "What's that matter? Is something wrong?"

(Riachu begins letting off some electricity from its tail, and is looking very scared.)

(That makes Kay stop, and Raichu asks.)

(Then Kay says.)

Kay: "Please go out. You'll have fun on stage."

(But Raichu still doesn't want to and is very scared and sad.)

Kay: "Oh, Raichu."

(Kay says, worried.)

(The other man says.)

other man: "It's no use."

first man: "It's awfully sad,"

(The first man says.)

(Then Misty says.)

Misty: "Seems like those two are having a problem."

(Later on, the boat leaves the dock and heads out to sea.)

(Mew and her friends decide to hitch a ride.)

(The man with the yellow bow tie says.)

The man: "it's no trouble at all. We've got a performance scheduled in the next port, and we've got plenty of room, so we're happy to give you all a ride."

Everyone: "Thank you very much, sir,"

(Mew and her friends say.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "I only wish there was something we could do to pay you back for the ride."

The man: "Oh? Maybe there is something you can do."

(The man says.)

(Then turns to Mew.)

The man: "You and your Pikachu have a great relationship, don't you?"

Mew: "Yeah,"

(Mew says.)

Pikachu: "Pikachu," (We sure do.)

(Pikachu says.)

The man: "I was wondering if you could give Kay a few pointers."

(The man says.)

(Then turns to Kay.)

The man: "Do you have a minute, Kay?"

Kay: "Sure. What is it, Roger?"

(Kay replies.)

Roger: "I think it might be a good idea if we had Mew here, and some of his friends, if they want, give you some advice on getting along with electric type Pokemon."

(Roger says.)

Mew: "Sure. I don't see why not. And maybe we can figure out why Raichu is feeling so sad."

(Mew says.)

Pikachu: "Pika," (Sure thing.)

(Pikachu says.)

(Roger asks.)

Roger: "Are you sure you're up to it?"

Mew: "I'll do my best."

(Mew says.)

(Misty giggles.)

Misty: "That's Mew for ya. Always willing to help, including Pokemon."

Tracey: "Yeah. If anyone can help with Pokemon, it's Mew."

(Tracey says.)

(Unknown to Mew and her friends.)

(Team Rocket's Magikarp submarine is following them from behind.)

(Jessie laughs.)

Jessie: "That show boat is packed with performing Pokemon, and all we have to do is get on board and snatch them!"

James: "Our dream of a Team Rocket dinner theater can come true!"

(James says.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "I'll be the star!"

(James and Meowth soon daydream dancing and sing.)

James and Meowth: "Left, kick. Right, kick. Left, kick. Right, kick."

(Then Jessie smacks them with a paper fan.)

Jessie: "I'm not through!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

(She then happily says.)

Jessie: "This could be the big break we've all been waiting for!"

(She chuckles and says.)

Jessie: "If we bring those Pokemon back to the boss, imagine how happy he'll be!"

James: "And I bet he'll forget all our debts, and give us huge paychecks!"

(James says with eagerness.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "And we'll finally have money!"

(Still on the ground, Meowth says.)

Meowth: "I think we oughta work on our choreography."

Jessie: "Hurry! We've got to grab those Pokemon!"

(Jessie says.)

James: "The show must go off!"

(James adds.)

(Meowth cheers.)

Meowth: "Yeah!"

(With that, Team Rocket continue to pedal.)

Mew: "Try to relax, Kay."

(Mew says.)

Kay: "Okay,"

(Kay replies.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "To get along with a Pokemon, the first and most important thing you have to keep in mind is that Pokemon's personality."

(Meanwhile Tracey and the others watch as Mew explains things to Kay.)

Tracey: "Wow. Mew sounds like she really knows what she's talking about."

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "Well, with her living with Pokemon and being able to understand them, it will make it easy to explain things to Kay."

(Misty says.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "Whenever it's an electric type or any type of Pokemon, it's mostly important to understand your Pokemon. How they think and how they feel."

Kay: "How do I do that?"

(Kay asks.)

Mew: "Hmm, maybe you and Raichu can try performing together. Then we'll figure out what the problem is."

(Mew says.)

Kay: "Okay,"

(Kay says.)

(Then turns to Raichu.)

Kay: "Come on, Raichu. Let's do our poem."

(But Raichu turns away.)

Kay: "Let's just try,"

(Kay reassures.)

(Kay steps forward and recites her poem.)

Kay: "It is an ancient Mariner, And he stoppeth one of three. 'By thy long gray beard and glittering eye, Now wherefore stopp'st thou me? The Bridegroom's doors are opened wide, And I am next of kin; The guests are met, the feast is set: May'st hear the merry din.'"

(However, Raichu isn't doing a thing, the host blushes and stares on the stage.)

(Kay kneels down to Raichu and asks.)

Kay: "Raichu, aren't you going to move your mouth along with me?"

(But Raichu turns away.)

(as it shakes and lets out some electricity from her tail and cheeks.)

(that causes Kay to step back, looking scared herself.)

(Catching Kay by surprise.)

Kay: "Ohh!"

(Kay grows very concerned.)

Kay: "But, Raichu."

(Mew soon notices how scared Raichu is.)

(but is also noticing how scared Kay is.)

(Mew then calmly walks to Raichu and kneels down to her level.)

(Mew then calmly asks.)

Mew: "Raichu, are you scared to be on stage?"

(But Raichu doesn't respond.)

(Then asks.)

Mew: "Is there something else that's making you nervous. You can tell me."

(Raichu ends up letting out some sparks of electricity from it's cheeks and tail.)

(Soon, Mew ends up getting a little shocked by it, surprising everyone.)

(However, Mew doesn't seem to flinch.)

(Kay cries out.)

Kay: "Raichu, stop that!"

(Raichu soon stops the attack.)

Raichu: "Rrraaiii..." (Whoops...)

(Kay rushes to Mew.)

Kay: "Mew! Are you okay?"

Mew: "Don't worry. I've been with a few Electricity Type Pokemon and Pikachu, even got shocked a few times, but I didn't feel a thing to be honest."

(Mew says.)

(But Kay scolds Raichu.)

Kay: "That was an awful thing to do, Raichu."

(Then Mew says to Kay.)

Mew: "Calm down, Kay. It was an accident. Raichu didn't mean to."

(Then turns to Raichu.)

Mew: "But thing is certain, Raichu is definitely afraid."

(Then turns to Kay.)

Mew: "And I think you're afraid as well."

(Kay is surprised to hear Mew's statement.)

(Later in the night, Kay is standing on the deck of the boat looking out over the sea port with tears in her eyes.)

(Just then, Mew walks over with Pikachu and Eevee.)

Mew: "Hi Kay,"

(Mew says.)

(Key turns to see Mew and her Pokemon walking towards her.)

(Mew then asks.)

Mew: "Key, are you okay?"

Kay: "Not really,"

(Kay says.)

(She then sadly sighs and says.)

Kay: "I think you're right. Raichu is afraid of me. But I'm the one who's really afraid. And it's all my fault that Raichu keeps acting this way."

Mew: "What do you mean?"

(Mew asks.)

(Kay then explains.)

Kay: "I'll never forget how happy I was to meet Raichu."

[Flashback...]

(Kay soon meets Raichu for the first time.)

(Kay happily says.)

Kay: "Oh, you're so cute!"

(and kneels down to Raichu.)

Kay: "Let me give you a hug!"

(Kay rushes into Raichu for a hug. Kay happily says.)

Kay: "Raichu!"

(However, Raichu accidently lets out some electricity from her tail.)

(frightening Kay and accidentally tosses Raichu back.)

(Then Raichu crashes into the crate.)

[Flashback Ends...]

Kay: "Ever since then, I've always been afraid of being shocked by Raichu like on the day we met. And that makes Raichu nervous because it can tell how afraid I am."

(Kay explains.)

(Mew asks.)

Mew: "Do you still want to be Raichu's trainer?"

Kay: "Of course I do! I'd do anything for my Raichu!"

(Kay quickly answers.)

Mew: "Then I'm sure things will work out. Raichu will see how you feel, sooner or later."

Pikachu: "Pika Pika, (Absolutely.)

(Pikachu says.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee!" (You bet it will!)

(Eevee says.)

(From afar, Mew's friends and Roger are watching and listening to what Mew says.)

(Misty says.)

Misty: "Mew always knows just the right thing to say."

Tracey: "I guess it's easy to say the right thing as long as you say it from your heart."

(Tracey says.)

Roger: "Yes. The heart always tells the truth."

(Roger says.)

(Meanwhile, behind the show boat, Team Rocket is still pedaling.)

(after them, and lock onto then unsuspecting paddle wheeler.)

(Jessie calls out.)

Jessie: "Target locked! Speed?"

Meowth: "Steady!"

(Meowth says.)

(Then James says.)

James: "Torpedo, ready!"

Jessie: "Fire,"

(Jessie says.)

(With that, the Magikarp submarine fires a Magikarp torpedo.)

(and hits the boat near the port end of the stem.)

(Everyone around the boat feels it and is jerked to the ground, while Raichu hides in fear.)

(After the explosion, Mew, Pikachu, Eevee, and Kay hurry up the stairs.)

Mew: "Sounds like something exploded!"

(Mew says.)

(Pikachu notices.)

Pikachu: "Pika!" (Look there!)

(The group turns their heads to see Raichu hiding between the crates in fear.)

Kay: "There's Raichu!"

(Kay says.)

(Meanwhile, in the Magikarp submarine.)

James: "How about an encore?"

(James questions.)

Jessie: "Bravo,"

(Jessie says.)

(Team Rocket fires another torpedo, which hits and destroys part of the area of the paddle wheel.)

(That sends Raichu flying.)

Kay: "Raichu!"

(Kay cries out.)

(Kay manages to catch Raichu.)

(as she slams into the wall with Raichu in her arms.)

(Mew and the others are shocked to see Kay ends up getting hurt.)

(Meanwhile, Raichu lets out more lost electricity in fear.)

(Kay is able to open her eyes and says.)

Kay: "It's okay, Raichu. I'm not afraid anymore."

(That causes Raichu to calm down.)

(and stop letting loose the electricity, hearing Kay's voice.)

Kay: "Raichu. Are you alright now?"

(Kay asks.)

(Raichu answers.)

Raichu: "Rai…" (Yes…)

Mew: "I'm so glad!"

(Mew says.)

(Mew and her Pokemon rush over.)

(Mew asks.)

Mew: "Are you two okay?"

Kay: "We're fine now,"

(Kay says.)

Mew: "It looks that way."

(Mew says.)

(Then Kay asks.)

Kay: "But what caused that explosion?"

(Mew crosses her arms and says.)

Mew: "I smell a Rattata… No. Two Rattatas and a Meowth."

(Suddenly, they hear familiar laughter as Mew says.)

Mew: "I hate it when I'm right."

Jessie: Prepare for trouble!

James: Make it double!

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all people within our nation!

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight!

Meowth: Meowth! Dat's right!

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Team Rocket!"

(Pikachu and Eevee say.)

Pikachu and Eevee: "Pi Pikachu! Eev Eevee!" (Not them again!)

(Team Rocket then removes their costumes as they land in their Team Rocket outfits.)

(Jessie laughs.)

Jessie: "Nice entrance!"

James: "It was steller!"

(James says.)

Meowth: "Yeah!"

(Meowth replies.)

Mew: "I figured it was you three who rocked the boat!"

(Mew says.)

Jessie: "Never mind that little thing, Meowth. Now that Team Rocket's onboard, we're the stars of this little show boat."

(Jessie says.)

James: "And don't try to upstage us, or you'll be in for a little surprise."

(James says.)

Meowth: "Stick to our script, or this show will bomb."

(Meowth says, and has a dynamite lever.)

Mew: "If you think that's going to scare me, you're crazy!"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly they hear Roger's voice.)

Roger: "Mew, do as they say!"

(Mew and the others turn to Roger in surprise and see the others.)

(Then Roger says.)

Roger: "This show boat is everything to us. It's our livelihood and it's our home. We just can't afford to put it in jeopardy."

(Mew sighs and says.)

Mew: "We'll do what you want."

Jessie: Good girl,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "A wise decision."

(James says.)

(Soon enough, Team Rocket has taken Mew and her friends.)

(and the others on stage and are tied up.)

Jessie: "Now we'll simply help ourselves to all your Pokemon."

(Jessie says.)

(Roger begs Team Rocket.)

Roger: "Take what you want, but please don't take the Pokemon!"

Jessie: "Sorry, Fuzz-face,"

(Jessie denies.)

Misty: "If you steal their Pokemon, they won't be able to put on any more shows!"

(Misty calls out.)

Jessie: "Well, that's just too bad."

(Jessie says.)

(Then Jessie and James walk away laughing.)

(Meanwhile, backstage, Meowth is sizing up the performing Pokemon.)

(Meowth says.)

Meowth: "All right, listen up! From now on, I'm your new master, and whatever I say goes around here! Ya got me?"

(Raichu looks very glum and soon begins to cry.)

Meowth: "Knock it off!"

(Meowth shouts.)

(Raichu ends up shocking Meowth in fear.)

(Back on stage, Mew tries to break free of the ropes.)

Mew: "We've got to do something!"

Tomo: "But these ropes are tied so tight!"

(Tomo says.)

(The man tied up says.)

The man: "Let's try it, Roger."

(The woman says.)

The woman: "Len's right. It's our show boat, we have to defend it!"

Roger: "Okay, Anne,"

(Roger replies.)

(Then asks.)

Roger: "Are you ready?"

Everyone: "Yeah!"

(The group answers.)

(As one, the four performers begin to stand up.)

(and walk away as Mew and the others try to break free of their restraints.)

(They stop to notice the four walking away.)

(Meanwhile, Hitmonchan stares at Meowth with intensity.)

(Meowth panics.)

Meowth: "Hey! Don't look at me like that!"

James: "Can't we be friends even though we're stealing from you?"

(James asks.)

(Soon, Hitmonchan sees Roger, and nods at Roger.)

(as he nods at Hitmonchan, almost like they know what to do.)

(Hitmonchan nods his head in agreement.)

(Hitmonchan then stands up and lifts it's glove up.)

James: "Oh, you're offering your glove in friendship?"

(James replies, offering his hand.)

(But Hitmonchan clobbers James in the face instead.)

(James ends up crashing on the stage and is knocked down to the ground.)

(Seeing what is happening, Len says.)

Len: "It's working."

Roger: "Yeah,"

(Roger replies.)

(Jessie angrily shouts at Hitmonchan.)

Jessie: "Hey! How dare you strike my friend!"

Meowth: "That was a cheap shot!"

(Meowth angrily says.)

(Meowth gets up.)

Meowth: "I should say so!"

(Putting on the performance, Hitmonchan says.)

Hitmonchan: "Leave now, or there will be more of the same in store for you!"

(Team Rocket is confused to hear Hitmonchan is starting to talk.)

(Soon, the other Pokemon join in.)

(Jynx says.)

Jynx: "Right."

Machoke: "You'll have to fight me, too!"

(Machoke says.)

Clefable: "You'll never win!"

(Clefable says.)

Mr. Mime: "Not against all of us!"

(Mr. Mime says.)

(Soon, Jessie and James are shocked while Meowth is in tears of joy.)

(Jessie becomes uneasy.)

Jessie: "These Pokemon can talk!"

James: "I thought Meowth was the only one who could do that!"

(James says, feeling the same.)

(With teary eyes, Meowth says.)

Meowth: "I know what you went through. I remember how hard it was for me to learn to talk human talk."

(Jessie says.)

Jessie: "This is no time to stroll down memory lane!"

(Roger says.)

Roger: "Friends, let's show these pirates they can't invade our vessel!"

Mr. Mime: "Make them walk the plank!"

(Mr. Mime says.)

(Soon, the pokemon begin to rebel, making Team Rocket panic.)

Jessie: "What do we do, now?!"

(Jessie asks.)

(James says.)

James: "We'll have to improvise!"

(Meanwhile, Mew and the others try to break free.)

(Misty whispers.)

Misty: "Let's try to wiggle free."

(The group continues to wiggle.)

(Soon, Togepi and Pichu are able to break free.)

Mew: "Nice going, Togepi. You too, Pichu,"

(Mew says.)

(Togepi and Pichu are happy.)

(Meanwhile, the fight continues, Hitmonchan calls out.)

Hitmonchan: "Fire Punch!"

(Then lands the attack on James, setting him on fire.)

(James runs in a panic.)

(James angrily grabs his Pokeball.)

James: "All right, you asked for it!"

(Then throws it.)

James: "Victreebel, go!"

(Victreebel comes out of its Pokeball.)

(and begins to gobble up James all over again.)

Jessie: "I know we want to be bad, but this is pathetic."

(Jessie says.)

(Then Jessie calls out.)

Jessie: "Weezing, Smokescreen, now!"

(With that, Weezing comes out of its Pokeball.)

(and spreads the attack, making all the Pokemon cough.)

Jessie: "See? I knew a little smokescreen would take care of them,"

(Jessie says.)

Meowth: "It's taking care of me, too."

(Meowth says.)

(Soon, the smoke starts heading to Team Rocket's way.)

(Then spread to Mew and the others, and the actors.)

(Everyone begins to cough as Raichu is still scared.)

(Soon enough, Mew and the others are able to break free.)

Mew: "Alright, we gotta work fast!"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to her friends and says.)

Mew: "Tomo, Misty, make sure that the actors are okay!"

Misty: "Gotcha!"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Okay!"

(Tomo says.)

(Mew turns to Tracey.)

Mew: "We'll fix Team Rocket. Let's go!"

Tracey: "Right!"

(Tracey says.)

(With that, the group split up.)

(James calls back Weezing.)

James: "Weezing, return!

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "The show's over!"

(Team Rocket turns to see Mew and Tracey on the stage.)

(Jessie panis.)

Jessie: "Pikachu! Eevee!"

James: "And the twerps, too!"

(James says.)

Jessie: "This show isn't over, yet! It's just beginning!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "Okay, Pikachu, Eevee, let's start off with a Thunderbolt attack!"

(With that, Pikachu and Eevee perform the Thunderbolt attack, and land on Team Rocket.)

(Then Tracey calls out, as he throws his Pokeball.)

Tracey: "Marill, Water Gun, go!"

(With that, Marill comes out of her pokeball and fires the attack.)

(sending Team Rocket to the wall.)

(The actors come out to see the pokemon alright.)

(Kay soon spots Raichu, frightened and all alone.)

(Kay runs to Raichu and calls out.)

Kay: "Raichu! Are you alright?"

(Kay touches Raichu, but becomes scared and loses electricity.)

(But Kay hugs Raichu and refuses to let go.)

(Kay notifies Raichu.)

Kay: "It's okay. Raichu, it's okay, now. I'm not scared."

(Raichu stops to hear Kay's voice and words.)

(Raichu looks into Kay's eyes, and she does the same.)

(Raichu is happy and hugs Kay.)

(Kay hugs Raichu with a smile.)

Len: "Well, it looks like their problems are behind them, now."

(Len says.)

Anne: "Sure does,"

(Anne says.)

Mew: "Seems everybody's happy."

(Mew says.)

(Tomo notices, and points out.)

Tomo: "Not everyone."

(Team Rocket stands up and Jessie angrily says.)

Jessie: "He's right! We're fighting mad!"

James: "And we're also soaking wet!"

(James angrily says.)

(Meowth says.)

Meowth: "And a wet Meowth is a very unpleasant Meowth!"

Mew: "You never learn your lesson, do you?"

(Mew questions.)

(Then turns to Kay.)

Mew: "Should we teach them, Kay?"

(Kay nods her head in reply.)

(With that Raichu joins say, and talks thanks to Kay's voice.)

Kay: "Now hear this, you villains! I will fight to the end to defend this ship!"

(Team Rocket are silent when they hear the remark, and know it means trouble.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, Eevee, Thunderbolt, now!"

(Pikachu and Eevee fire their Thunderbolt at Team Rocket.)

Meowth: "It's even more shocking when you're soaking!"

(Meowth screams.)

(Then Kay says.)

Kay: "Raichu! Show them your Mega Punch, now!"

(Raichu then throws a Mega Punch that causes an explosion and sends Team Rocket flying.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "We're blasting off again!"

(Once they're gone, Kay picks up Raichu and cheers.)

Kay: "We did it, Raichu!"

(Everyone applauds with glee.)

(Len says.)

Len: "That was a great performance!"

Mew: "You stole the show!"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "What a hit!"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "That was awesome!"

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "And they saw stars!"

(Tracey says.)

(The rest of the Pokemon applaud as well.)

(The next day, Mew and the others are at the showboat's next port..)

(The clown calls out.)

The clown: "Come one! Come all! To the Pokemon Show Boat! Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!"

(Soon, everyone is in line.)

(Meanwhile, Mew and the others are talking to Professor Oak.)

Professor Oak: "Ah. A Pokemon Show Boat, eh?"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "That's right. And they put on shows where it looks like the Pokémon are all talking."

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "I'll have to go see it for myself, sometime."

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "We'll talk to you again soon, Professor,"

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "Alright, have fun!"

(Professor Oak says.)

(Mew then ends the call.)

(Just then, Kay hurries over as she calls out.)

Kay: "Mew!"

(The group turns to see Kay running to them.)

Mew: "What's wrong, Kay? How come you're not at the show?"

(Mew asks.)

(Taking a few breaths, Kay says.)

Kay: "It's terrible! Something's happened to Roger and he can't go on!"

(This makes Mew and her friends in shock.)

(Mew and the others rush backstage as the audience waits for the show.)

Kay: "He says Weezing's Smokescreen damaged his throat."

(Kay says.)

Mew: "But the show's supposed to start now."

(Mew says.)

(In a raspy voice, Roger says.)

Roger: "I can't go on like this."

Misty: "So you're going to cancel the show!"

(Misty says.)

(Roger confirms it.)

(Then Len questions.)

Len: "What else can we do?"

Anne: "We need someone to take Roger's place,"

(Anne says.)

(With that, Raichu approaches Kay.)

(Kay looks down and asks.)

Kay: "Yes? What is it, Raichu?"

(Raichu pushes Kay a couple of steps forward.)

(Then Raichu jumps with excitement.)

(Mew says.)

Mew: "Kay, Raichu is saying that you can take Roger's place."

(Kay becomes surprised.)

Kay: "Me? Take Roger's place?"

(Then turns to Raichu.)

Kay: "Is that what you want, Raichu?"

(Raichu answers with a nod.)

(Kay smiles and turns to Roger.)

Kay: "Raichu and I would like to fill in for you, Roger. I have the lines memorized and I know we can do it if you let us try."

(Roger nods his head with his approval.)

Mew: "If you give us the chance, Pikachu, Eevee and I would like to help out, too!"

(Mew says.)

Everyone: "Yeah!"

(Everyone agrees.)

(Later, the show begins.)

(and the spotlight shines down on Raichu wearing a blue jacket, top hat, and a red bow tie.)

(Raichu happily says.)

Raichu: "Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to the Pokemon Show Boat!"

(Pikachu and Eevee appear on the stage.)

Pikachu: "Now just sit back, relax…"

(Pikachu says.)

(Then Eevee says.)

Eevee: "And enjoy the show, everybody!"

(The audience begins to cheer.)

(Backstage, Mew and the performers are backstage.)

Mew: "It's kinda hard to match the lip flaps, isn't it?"

(Mew says.)

Kay: "You're doing just fine,"

(Kay compliments.)

(On stage, Raichu says.)

Raichu: "And now, we present our all-star Pokémon chorus line!"

(The lights come on and confetti comes down.)

(Music begins to play, and the Pokemon begins to dance.)

(Even Togepi, Pichu, Meloetta, and Skwovet are on the stage with the others.)

(Above, Misty, Tracey, and Tomo sprinkle down the confetti.)

(Soon, the show is a big hit.)

(and everyone in the audience loves it.)

(Mew and her friends have a great time being part of the show.)

(and help Kay and Raichu become close and become great partners.)
