Chapitre 31: 31 — Strange Place (2)

"How the hell is this happening?!" Cynthia shrieked, however there was no one response to her. 

As the blood crept toward her, Cynthia's body stiffened. Her every instinct screamed to fight back yet she was hopeless. 

The dragger in her hand could not shield her from the blood and she didn't have magic to teleport elsewhere— even if she knew the spells, she didn't have a mana core to store magic powers in her body. 

The fear and anxiety rushed through her blood, her heart pounded faster than ever, reaching her ears and her breathing quickened. 

Panic surged through Cynthia as dizziness overcame her. Her vision began to blur, and she gasped for air.

"What is this… feeling?" she wondered, sweat pouring down her face. Her chest felt as though it were being crushed by an invisible metal vice.

"I-It hurts!" she screamed, tears welling up from the overwhelming heat and pain. She has never felt such pain until the day she died in her past life.
