Chapitre 2: Time for a jog in the rain
Leaving my bedroom, I peered into my older sister's room. She sat engrossed in her laptop, accompanied by the melody of music. Venturing into the backyard, I surveyed the overgrown space cluttered with gardening equipment. First, I caused trees to grow along the perimeter, providing a shield of privacy. I orchestrated the yard to tidy itself, with the gardening tools neatly stored away and the plants expertly trimmed.
When my mother arrived home in the afternoon, she was pleasantly surprised by the sight of the yard. Assuming I had diligently mowed the lawn and tidied up, she was unaware of the true extent of the transformation.
Later that night, as we gathered to watch a movie, boredom began to creep in. Sensing the waning interest, I employed my power to elevate the experience. I injected captivating plot twists, enhanced the visual effects, and bestowed extraordinary abilities upon the characters. The movie became infused with humor, courtesy of well-timed jokes, witty dialogue, and amusing situations that left my sister and mother astonished.
After the movie and a satisfying dinner, I retired to bed. In my slumber, I found myself immersed in a dream world where I could fly and create breathtaking landscapes. I engaged in battles with monsters and nefarious individuals, all while maintaining a semi-consciousness that allowed me to remember every vivid detail upon awakening.
The following day, a much-anticipated weekend, granting me a well-deserved day off and a rainy day at that. Eager to embrace the rain, I decided to embark on a jog. As I approached a crossing, an alarming scene unfolded before my eyes—a car skidded and collided with a pedestrian traversing the crosswalk. Without hesitation, I sprinted towards the injured man. His body lay contorted and scraped, revealing the severity of the impact.
Instinctively, I extended my hands, palms outstretched towards the man. Miraculously, his injuries began to heal at an astonishing rate. The commotion caught the attention of onlookers, with cars slowing down and people emerging from their homes to witness the extraordinary sight. The driver of the car emerged, bewildered, as he witnessed the man's rapid recovery. In a matter of seconds, the man's wounds were healed, although he remained unconscious. Swiftly, I made my escape, swiftly retreating to the safety of my home.
In the following weeks, my mother grew curious about the sudden disappearance of numerous dishes from our household, as I effortlessly made them vanish into thin air.
Undeterred by my extraordinary abilities, I continued my education, employing my powers to excel in all subjects. Upon graduation, I ensured my success by orchestrating a substantial lottery win. Generously, I shared a portion of the winnings with my sister and mother, stating that I intended to embark on a journey across Australia.
