The man told him everything. There's no point in hiding it anymore. The one who ordered him was someone from the organization that would protect humanity from the devils and any race that wanted to bring harm to mankind.
And they would not stand for the humans who sold their humanity. They would send assassins to eliminate them before they could become a threat.
Sullivan even had a bouty placed on his head for betraying the humanity but if he wasn't human in the first place, then it was another matter all together.
"So it was really a misunderstanding and you don't really know who sent out the order."
The organization was a middleman who would handle everything. If he wanted to know who issued the order, he had to go to the organization himself.
"What a troublesome situation to be in."
Sullivan shook his head, then looked at the man again.
"I will let you go and you should go to that organization of yours and tell them that I am not a human."
The man nodded even if he didn't tell him that he would make sure to tell the organization about Sullivan's race.
Humans and Yokai were known to coexist peacefully in this city. So making sure that the organization was aware of Sullivan's race was very important.
And Sullivan wasn't a devil incarnate either. He was just misunderstood.
"I will. Thank you for sparing my life."
The man then went away as fast as he could. And about the matter of reveng. He would put it aside for the time being.
"Life is hard."
Sullivan then went on his merry way again. This time, he could not feel anyone watching him at all.
…
Rias had talked with her brother about getting help from Sullivan. Her brother was initially hesitant, as Sullivan was related to Gabreil. He was strong for sure but there was something that he wasn't quite sure about.
The first thing was, was he actually a Yokai? How could a Yokai be related to the strongest being in the world? Even the infinite dragon and the dragon of dreams could not do anything to her.
And as he was pondering these questions, however, Rias convinced him that Gabreil had helped her in the past, even though she had done something outrageous. But now Gabreil was actually just a nice woman who had turned her life around.
Sirzechs could only sigh and he said.
"Okay, If you want him to help you, But I have a condition. He has to be at least at a high-class level. Can you check if he actually has the power to help you?"
Sirzechs had planned to set her sister free from the shackle called political marriage. His father got an earful of scolding from his mother but it wasn't enough for him to cancel it.
Devils were prideful beings. If his father canceled the marriage proposal without cause, there might be war between the two families.
Sirzechs didn't want any war to break out, but he also could not stand by and watch his sister suffer in a loveless marriage. He needed to find a way to ensure her happiness without causing conflict.
"I will, Onii-sama, I could tell that he is very strong. I will let Koneko and Akeno spar with him today so that I will know how strong he is."
The two then spoke with each other for a little bit, and then Sirzechs had to go back to work. Rias called Koneko and Akeno.
"I have talked with Onii-sama, and he agreed about letting Sullivan help me but he set a condition that he must be high-class. I want you and Koneko to spar with him today. Are you two okay with it?"
Akeno thought about it a little bit and nodded.
"I am okay with it. I want to hear him screaming. Arara, just think about it; it made me feel so excited!"
Both Rias and Koneko looked at her weirdly but they just shrugged it off. Koneko, on the other hand, hesitated for a moment before nodding in agreement.
Seeing her hesitate for a moment, Rias couldn't help but ask her.
"Koneko, If you don't want to, I could ask Kiba to do it. From the look of it, He must be eager to fight with him."
"No, Bucho. Please let me fight with him. I am just thinking that I and Akeno Sempai might not be enough."
Both Rias and Akeno looked at each other. They believed in Koneko's intuition. If she said that they might not be enough to test Sullivan, then it should be like that.
"Can you tell me why you think like that, Koneko-chan?"
Koneko nodded, then told her about what she could feel from him. He might be as strong as her big sister. Or even stronger.
Rias and Akeno knew who her big sister was. And if what Koneko could feel from him was true, then. It would be the greatest news that Rias might throw a party for it!
