Arthur Watt was now looking at the monitor with confusion.
"Why didn't she use my virus yet?"
He had been waiting for three days. Cinder should have proceeded with the plan already, but it seemed that something went wrong on her end.
He could only sigh.
"And you said that the plan would be successful without a doubt. What a useless piece of shit."
Arthur was very angry at how incompetent Cinder was.
"I need to do something. If I don't report to the mistress soon. She would come and kill me."
Arthur knew that Salem would kill him for sure. She hated humans in the first place. Not to mention the useless ones.
And as he was thinking about how to survive this. He heard someone calling him.
"Arthur! My Goddess called you, come with me immediately."
"Shit, Why did it have to be him!"
The one who came to get him was the fanatic who worshiped the abomination like a goddess.
Tyrian callows.
Arthur was now having a headache. He didn't have time to properly set up a plan.
He couldn't do anything now except let himself be led by one of the most dangerous people in the world.
When he went outside of the lab with Tyrian, he saw that there was someone who shouldn't be there.
"Emerald, why are you here? And where is Cinder?"
He didn't think that Emerald would appear without her.
Emerald shook her head.
"She was captured, and I came back because I was ordered to, If I didn't do as I was ordered. Cinder will be killed."
Arthur heard that and knew immediately that he would not be killed now. It wasn't his fault that the plan failed, but Cinder's and her people's.
Emerald would be killed in his stead.
"Stop talking, My Goddess is waiting for you!"
Tyrian showed his claw. He will not tolerate anyone who makes his goddess wait.
"Okay, Okay, geez, stop being a psychopath for a second, will you?"
Arthur shook his head, then called the bullhead. It was controlled by an AI he had created.
He didn't know that the AI he had created was already dead, and now it was just an imposter.
Inside the land of darkness.
Salem was now feeling better. She didn't feel pain in her soul anymore. That meant the one who tried to break the cage had stopped.
She was waiting for Arthur Watt to come because she had a new task for him. Cinder was a lost cause now.
She didn't need to wait long. Tyrian had now brought him in front of her. To her surprise, there was someone she didn't think would be here.
"Child, You have come here for what purpose? Last time I remember, you always stuck to your mistress. And that mistress is not me."
Salem knew that Emerald's loyalty wasn't to her but to Cinder. She didn't hate someone who was loyal to their master. Instead, she admired them, and even though her hatred for humanity was stronger, she could make do with it.
Emerald's face became strange. She didn't like someone treating her like she was a kid, but she had a mission to complete, so she couldn't make the matter worse.
"I came here to give you this."
Emerald didn't beat around the bush. The faster she finished her mission, the faster she could get back to Cinder.
There was something she needed to tell her. She had joined a Guild that ran across the multiverse.
Not only that, she was also accepted as a disciple of someone who was very strong. Even Salem might not be able to fight her.
'She could destroy a mountain with just her bare hand.
If she had that kind of strength, then she could protect Cinder from danger better.
Salem looked at what Emerald showed her. She frown.
"A scroll?"
It was a real scroll, not an electronic device. She felt powerful magic coming from it, but there was no malicious trace in there.
Salem beckoned, and the scroll flew from Emerald's hand to hers. She did some magic to check if the scroll was safe or not, and when she was sure that there was nothing wrong with the scroll, She then opened it.
When she opened it. A bright light showers her. She felt warm, like she was being embraced by her mother.
"W-What is this feeling? How can a being of darkness like me feel warm?"
This was the first time in countless years she had ever felt this warmth. It made her long for her family. She thought about her daughter and couldn't help but be sad.
She looked at the scroll once again. She read the words inside and was surprised again.
"They want to come here. The young god and his goddesses."
