Chapitre 76: 76. THE UNDERGROUND CAT

It's like three fairies shuttling in the restaurant. They were very eye-catching. Manager,

what are you doing? Lily's playful face suddenly appeared in front of Aiden, making him

jump.

Huh? Are you looking at us? Aiden's face reddened, and he coughed awkwardly. Don't

chew the manager. Get back to work.

Lily, however, looked him straight in the face. Manager, I think you've become a little

more handsome today. Don't do that.

It's no use being sweet. You won't get a raise. Really, manager? If you don't believe me,

let Olivia look.

They surrounded him and came to the same conclusion. Aiden had suddenly become

handsome. Even Clara was puzzled and pinched Aiden's face.

Hey, boy, are you hiding your plastic surgery from your mother? Aiden's mouth twitched.

He brushed Clara's hand away. Have you ever seen cosmetic surgery done overnight?

Later, after seeing other women look at him with interest, Aiden ran back to his room.

He looked at his face in the mirror and found it was different from yesterday. His skin

was much whiter than before, and he looked much more handsome. Startled, he looked

at his ability data and found that the column beauty had already broken through to

master level without him realizing it.

Looking at himself in the mirror, Aiden sighed silently. You can eat by your face, but not

by your talent.

In the afternoon, Mia suddenly came to ask Aiden for leave. What? An

exam? Do you want to revise? asked Aiden, surprised. Didn't you know, manager? Mia

was even more surprised than Aiden.

Aiden remembered that Mr. Harvey had said that the January examination was coming

up, but it had slipped his mind. No student can escape the chore of the monthly

examinations. The days before each exam are always hard, cramming so much

knowledge in a short period of time and going over numerous exercises.

Even the poor students have to spend a lot of time making notes and dare to take them

into the exam room without the invigilator finding out. And that is before the midterm

exams, final exams, and so on. The higher the test, the greater the pain.

However, with Aiden's ability now, even a college entrance examination would not be a problem, so a small monthly exam was not worth worrying about. It was not surprising

that Mr. Harvey's words had gone in one ear and out the other. He might not care, but

someone else was worried for him.

What? Tomorrow is the monthly exam? Clara pushed Aiden into the office and closed the

door. Come on, my boy, get revising. Don't let the restaurant interrupt your studies.

Clara and Morris were typical parents, always worried about their sons studying enough.

Even with Aiden's efforts, the profit is on the rise. However, his parents still hope Aiden

can be successful in his studies, and such deep-rooted ideas rooted in their souls cannot

be reversed quickly.

Aiden was shut in the room by Clara, who wanted him to revise, but he opened his laptop

and checked the restaurant's inbox. The email address was on their website, and they

received many messages from businesses wanting to work with them. Aiden looked

through them, carefully selecting partners.

He was browsing idly when he noticed a promising one from a man called Jude Hardy,

who claimed to be in his 20s, but his photo did not look very young. He was gaunt and

wrinkled, as if he had suffered. Aiden looked at his resume and understood why this

might be so.

He had failed college entrance examinations twice by a couple of points. On the third

attempt, it was not easy to get a place at a good school, so he went to an unlicensed

one, which cheated him out of his money, so he ended up working in a factory. Having

saved hard for a few years, ready to start his own business, his savings were all stolen

by his girlfriend.

His world fell apart. Now he was searching for a good opportunity for entrepreneurs,

wanting to start a company, but penniless. By chance, he heard about the famous

restaurant on the internet and was asking Aiden to invest in him.

Aiden thought this man was really the most unfortunate person he had ever come

across, but his passion for entrepreneurship made Aiden curious. Thinking about it, Aiden

dialed the phone number.

Although Clara had

shut Aiden in the room, she had no time to keep an eye on him, so, taking advantage of

that, he slipped out of the back door of the restaurant.

A skinny man in a light-colored jacket was walking restlessly up and down in a cafe at

the east end of the street. He was Jude Hardy, who had written the email. Jude had

hoped to get a call from the owner of the restaurant.

Excited, he came to the cafe an hour early. Is that Mr. Hardy, please? A clear voice came

from behind him. He turned and saw a handsome boy smiling at him.

Are you the son of the restaurant owner? Jude looked at Aiden's young appearance,

stupefied, and could not believe his eyes. Don't stare. I'm the manager, Aiden.

Aiden looked at the man in front of him and saw that he was even more disheveled than

in the photo. His leather jacket was patched, he had not shaved for some time, and his

beard was messy and tangled like a bird's nest. Only his eyes were bright and full of

enthusiasm.

Jude was stunned. Obviously, he had not expected the legendary restaurant manager to

be so young. He didn't even look twenty years old.

Jude's face darkened. He thought Aiden was a rich, second-generation kid who

squandered his family's money. Generally, such people have no vision and probably

would not understand his business plan.

But he quickly changed his mind and shared his great idea with Aiden. Today's e-

commerce industry in Chesterton is mixed. Many people have extremely negative

experiences of online shopping.

But my goal is to establish the largest online trading platform in the state, and its name

will be Underground Cat. How about it? Is it a good idea? Looking at Jude, who was

sitting in front of him talking, his materials in his hand, Aiden frowned slightly. He could

see that this was a man on the edge of genius and madness.

He had so many ideas, some of them shocking, in Aiden's opinion, and some fantastic.

Investing in this kind of person would either make him a lot of money, or he would lose

everything. Jude was looking for an investment of $100,000 and would give 30% of the

shares to Aiden after the company is founded.

With profits of tens of thousands every week, it would not be difficult to take out

$100,000. But Aiden did not want to throw his money away. Hmm, should we invest in

this guy? Just as Aiden was thinking about it, the prompt sound in his brain suddenly

rang out.

Read the investment plan. Investment capacity, plus one. Current progress, one out of

ten.

Current level, entry level. Trigger entry level investment capability. Investment plan

scanning.

Investment target scanning. Scanning completed. After appraisal, it is estimated that the

return on investment is 10,000-fold, and the investment risk rate is 10%.

Therefore, it is suggested that the host should invest. 10,000 times? How much is 10,000

times 100,000? Aiden, with his proficiency in mathematics, immediately got the answer.

And with a corresponding risk rate of only 10%, only a fool would refuse this kind of

investment.

Jude, sitting opposite, looked nervously at Aiden.

Aiden's face was calm.

Joy and anger never caused him to change expression, which makes Jude even more

nervous. As the minutes passed, he grew more and more desperate. Oh well, he thought.

I'm used to being rejected. He stood up, ready to leave, when Aiden thumped the table

to indicate he would stay. Aiden's eyes were gleaming, as if he were counting

something.

He tilted his head and stretched out five fingers. What do you mean? Jude looked at

Aiden suspiciously. I'll give you $500,000.

I hope you can give me a satisfactory return. Aiden's eyes were full of determination.

Half a million was all the working capital the restaurant currently had.

He was betting heavily on the big potential profits. If he took 10,000 steps back, even if

he were really unlucky, if he hit the 10% probability of risk, he would recoup $500,000 in

a few months. Jude stayed where he was for a long time, just thinking.

His hands trembled and grabbed Aiden's hands. Tears flowed from his eyes in front of

everyone there. Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you very much. You've saved me.

Jude became incoherent in his thanks. If Aiden hadn't been holding his hands, he would

have knelt down before him. Having suffered so much coldness and contempt, Aiden was

like a god to Jude.

He had been desperate to approach Aiden in the way he had, but had to take a chance.

He had never expected Aiden to agree to his request, and the investment far exceeded

his expectations. Such kindness overwhelmed him.

I will name the platform Night Owl to remind me that, without your help, I could never

have done this. Jude's eyes flashed with determination, and he swore to himself that he

would succeed. ATTRACT TOP BUSINESS TALENT.

LEADERSHIP. PLUS ONE. That night, the two kept talking until after 10pm, before leaving

the cafe.

Jude took the $500,000 venture capital that Aiden gave him and went to Arkland City,

the provincial capital, to establish Night Owl. Bayside was too small to accommodate

Jude's ambition. He was off to meet a lifetime of dignitaries.
