Luck was currently walking side by side with Aliana as they went down the hall. Even after many years he still hadn't grown taller than her, he had only managed to reach her height.

Alaina took a turn and opened a door that lead to a flight of stairs leading down.

She played with the strands of her hair as she turned to face him.

With an exasperated sigh, Luck placed his hand on his forehead in frustration. Even after so many years his mother's antics still never failed to amuse him.

Even though it was afternoon the stairs led down into utter darkness. Because the space was underground there were no windows to let light into the space.
