Chapitre 5: Self-Proclaimed Successor (IV)

"I'm dreaming," Luke reminded himself, looking out into the vast expanse of Tatooine. The same yellow, the same ruthless, the same...

**Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker**

"Luke," a voice called from behind him, and the young Jedi turned around.

"Ben!" he exhaled joyfully. "Ben! You were gone for so long that I thought you would never reappear. How glad I am..."

"And I, Luke," the bluish-blue ghost smiled. "It's great to see what a powerful Jedi you have become."

"I'm trying," the young man hesitated. "The last of the Jedi, after all..."

"Be careful," Obi-Wan Kenobi said sternly but kindly. "The Emperor and Vader are dead..."

"The Emperor and my father," the young Jedi mentally corrected.

"...but the Dark Side of the Force is still strong in the galaxy," the ghost of the Force stunned him with the unexpected confession. "Did you feel a disturbance in the Force not long ago?"

"Yes," Luke managed to say. "Something strange, as if alien... But I couldn't understand what it was. Only a slight ripple in the Force, which became almost invisible. Sorry, Ben, I couldn't figure out what was going on."

"Don't blame yourself," Obi-Wan said firmly. "Your journey is just beginning, Luke. Be patient and disciplined. The Great Power is with you, do not forget this. There have been and will be mistakes—there's no getting around it. But you can learn a life lesson from them. Don't look for easy ways—use the right road."

"You speak as if you came to say goodbye and are giving final instructions," Skywalker said sadly.

"It's becoming increasingly difficult to overcome the veil between the world of the living and the dead, Luke," the young Jedi thought a bitter smile should have appeared on Kenobi's face, but there was none. Obi-Wan had no regrets. He simply stated what was happening. "I think this is the last time we see each other. Listen to the Force, Luke. It will help you find allies where you don't expect them. And it will reveal the plans of your enemies..."

"I really hope so," Luke said, watching the image of Ben Kenobi melt away. Even the sands of Tatooine began to ripple. "Goodbye, old friend."

But Obi-Wan Kenobi did not answer him.

The old Jedi disappeared. Luke Skywalker opened his eyes, wiping the moisture from them. He was still in his room, staring at the bedroom ceiling...

And despite the fact that his twin sister, Leia, was somewhere in the Imperial Palace, the young Jedi felt incredibly lonely.
