Chapitre 42: What’s with today?

Inside Hirvan's room, Ren YuZe lay spread out on the bed, his body aching from exhaustion. Weeks of restless nights had taken their toll, and now his body was in rebellion. Feverish and mentally drained from over-analyzing everything, he was on the verge of passing out.

It did not help that it was a rollercoaster of feelings confirming his father was alive. Now, after the dust had settled, he felt a surge of adrenaline diminishing, leaving him in a fragile state. As the medicine took effect, his eyes grew heavy as he waited for his father to come back.

The sound of the door creaking open made Ren YuZe turn his head weakly. Hirvan entered the room, his movements slow and deliberate. He approached the bed and sat down beside his son, his eyes softening as he took in the sight of Ren YuZe's pale face and sweaty forehead.

"How are you feeling?" Hirvan asked, his voice gentle, tinged with concern.
