Chapitre 3: Chapter 2: Echoes of the Unknown

As I landed, my feet barely touching the ground, I looked around, scanning for the source of the energy. There, amidst the desolation, stood someone—or something.

Before me loomed a towering figure, easily thrice my height. His massive form was covered in a rough, leathery skin that resembled Armor, adorned with deep grooves and scars telling tales of countless battles.

'A giant?'- My first though.

'No impossible , It's graceless being like a tarnished'

'Though I can sense a celestial or a different form of energies from him different from that of those in lands between'

'Perhaps , some sort of magic?'

I most noticed the greyish-brown coloured box hanging from a thick metallic chain round his neck. I was yet to understand why it was to be and what it meant but it in a way contributed to the element of unknown that surrounded this meeting.

The giant's head tilted and swivelled in my general direction and I met his opaque look of confusion and aggression. His eyes were pure white and looked into me as if he were trying to figure out why I was there.

He did not talk to me in the same manner in which conversed with my ex; however, I detected hostility as a thick energy that surrounded us.

The moment I couched the great swords, tension wound around me like a dark spring; the black metal of the weapons I held was comfortingly familiar. Peculiar patterns of lion's manes glowed slightly, as if the swords were alive; every Knick reminded of my warrior.

The giant raised his foot and placed it as carefully as if it was a boot to move forward an inch. Every step that he took gave the ground beneath a shake that attests to the power of the huge man. His lips lined up in a sneer and the first thing that became noticeable was the sharpness of his teeth. He just sat there frozen for a moment. Tension set profoundly between us and all that could be heard was the sound of the wind whistling through the grass and the loud panting of the giant. He has never once looked away from me, as if he were challenging me to act and that I only must make the first step. However, through the unfriendliness of the giant there was a look in his eyes that I also felt: a kind of confusion.

We stared at each other; I stood my ground and returned his look with a lot of resolve. This was not a physical endurance that took place, this was a test of the ability to make a truce where you cannot even look at the other person without hatred.

Gigantomachia's POV:

The field in front of me, a sun burned place of dead grass and twiddling weeds, reflected the bleakness I felt inside.

I was still expecting to hear Master's voice again as I carried on with what I was doing.

I was no hero, nor villain. I used to ride every tempest ,but my purpose was to do my owner's bidding. All heroes must die and the situation that needs to occur was that my master will cause their presence to be short-lived from the immense black void.

And now I could only observe, before me there was a silhouette – a man – a stranger in this, this… He had that effect on me I actually felt the chill just like the times I stood in front of the master.

'Am I shaking? '

'No Impossible!

No matter how much I was impressed by Master's bass, it rapidly became apparent that this stranger's here is far more powerful. '

I growled softly and the noise echoed in the field, I could hear the sounds of my feet hitting the ground. My master told me quite plainly 'Machia , kill anyone who comes here and don't let anyone know that you are here. Though if someone does you know what to do and wait for my orders is still as powerful today as it was a decade ago.'

But there was something in this shape that made me never use the light, it seemed fear of the unknown.

With a rush of words that sounded like growling I pushed my hand deeper and further into the ground. A colossal rock that was about my height now loomed on the figure as if it intended to fell the structure with a single blow. He gave it back to me as a challenge; as a reminder of my reign over this wasteland of a world.

That rock flew through the air and I waited to see the method of reaction this stranger would pull out.

But he just stood there motionless.

'Ha! I was worrying for nothing. He is far from Master's skill level, My strength scares him so much that his body just doesn't respond.'

I turned my head preparing to strode forward not waiting to see his battered figure, that I didn't able to avoid/elude him.

Radahn's POV:

As I watched the giant turn away, the boulder he had hurled was still hurtling towards me, a massive force of destruction set in motion. There was no time to sidestep or evade; the rock was nearly upon me.

In an instant, I made my move. My hands, already gripping the hilts of my great swords, dug into the earth. With a powerful heave, I wrenched them free. The moment the blades cleared the ground, a surge of raw energy burst forth from beneath my feet, enveloping me in a wave of gravitational force.

The boulder, still barrelling towards me, collided with this surge. The immense weight of the rock met the unstoppable force of my power, and for a heartbeat, everything hung in a delicate balance. The ground trembled under the strain as the energy I summoned clashed with the boulder's momentum.

Then, with a final, decisive exertion of will, I channelled my gravitational power into the very air around me. The boulder stopped dead in its tracks, suspended mid-air as if caught in the grip of an unseen hand. Dust and debris swirled around it, testament to the sheer force required to halt such a massive object.

'I can feel the surface of this world responding to my power, its very fabric bending and shifting under the weight of my command. Unlike the Lands Between, where every exertion was a struggle against the ancient, unyielding terrain, this new realm felt almost fragile in comparison. I realized with a mixture of awe and caution that I could reshape this land with a mere thought, the gravitational forces at my disposal so potent that they could alter the landscape itself.'

The boulder, now held aloft by my will alone, was a testament to my strength. It hovered there, an immovable object, caught between the earth and sky by the sheer force of my power. The energy rippling from my great swords pulsated outward, creating a field of gravity that held the rock suspended in defiance of natural law.

As I stood there, to test the extent of my abilities . This was not the same power I had wielded in the Lands Between—it was something far greater, amplified by the nature of this strange and unfamiliar world but it still different from the energy of this world.

'As a matter of fact , this world energy wants to resonate me'

'But my sheer strength held it at bay'

With the boulder now suspended mid-air, held effortlessly by the gravitational forces I had summoned, I turned my gaze towards the giant. He had stopped his retreat and was now facing me, his expression a mix of confusion and something resembling recognition.

A surge of disdain welled up within me as I absorbed the scene. The audacity of this creature—to launch such a massive attack and then turn his back, presuming I had been dealt with! It was not just foolishness; it was an insult to the very essence of battle and honour.

"How disgraceful!" I shouted, my voice carrying across the barren field.

The air around me vibrated with the intensity of my words. "After making the move to attack, you attempt to walk away as if nothing happened?"

The giant's eyes narrowed, a flicker of confusion mingling with the hostility that now burned brighter in his gaze. His massive frame, adorned only with a strange necklace holding a small box, seemed to tense as he processed my words. It was clear he had not expected resistance—certainly not of this magnitude.

But there was no room for mercy or hesitation in this moment. His disregard had sealed his fate. I would not let him walk away unscathed after such a brazen display.

I tightened my grip on my great swords, their weight a familiar reassurance in my hands. The power of the gravity surrounding me surged once more, a tangible force that I could feel pulsing through my very being. The boulder, still hovering in defiance of natural laws, was a testament to my resolve and my control.

"You dare to turn your back on a warrior like me?" I continued, my voice steady and filled with resolve.

"You will learn the price of your arrogance."

With a determined flick of my wrist, I released the gravitational hold on the boulder. It fell to the ground with a thunderous crash, sending up a cloud of dust and debris. The ground shook under the impact, but my focus remained unbroken.

The giant, now fully aware of the gravity of his mistake, squared his stance. He was no longer walking away; he was preparing to face the challenge I represented. But in his eyes, I saw a glimmer of fear—a recognition.

Drawing upon my power, I prepared myself for the next move. The landscape around us trembled under the weight of the energy I commanded, and I could feel the very air thickening with anticipation.

Whatever this giant thought he was, he would soon learn that turning his back on me was a folly he would deeply regret.
