Consciousness assaulted me; hauled from the depths of oblivion by my sister Miquella's summoning. It was a transition from the peaceful void of death into a warzone, and it was unsettling, but I had no time to dwell upon it as I found myself facing the infamous Tarnished himself, the cursed being ; devised of grace that had been conquering the lands between for so long.
What could possibly have driven Miquella to call me back?
Instinctively I tried to draw upon my gravitational powers, attracting the Tarnished to me, yet without words, but a surge of will that twisted the very fabric of space around us and the ground shook violently as I focused gravitational waves against him, trying to destroy his footing.
And beside me Miquella spoke in my thoughts once again, her words full of regret and urgency. "I'm so sorry Radahn." she whispered across our psychic link. "I never wanted this for you… Never meant for you to have these responsibilities forced upon you.. To call you back… Make you my consort …I never wanted any of this for you."
Her words cut through the chaos of battle, reminding me of the strength of our bond and the sacrifices made in its name. But there was regret in Miquella's voice as she spoke again, for she bore witness to a decision that had once more changed the course of my life.

The Tarnished pressed his advantage. Blow after blow fell like doom itself, testing me, wearing me down—blow upon punishing blow that matched my best efforts, countered me at every turn until I was overwhelmed.
As I weakened, slipping back towards darkness - and battle dwarfed me, only the curious dual emotions of Miquella-induced loyalty and shared misfortune... .. Gratitude that is, for my follower...
