"Bang!"
Buggy pushed open the library door, only to find Domino had taken off her coat and trousers, and was wiping himself down with a tissue.
Domino froze when she saw Buggy enter. Seeing Boa Hancock in Buggy's hand startled her, and she quickly grabbed her discarded clothes to cover himself.
Buggy silently dismantled a part of his floating body into small pieces and retracted it. He dropped Boa Hancock on the floor and walked toward the desk.
"You go on!" Buggy said lightly as he approached Domino.
"Get out!" Domino shot Buggy a glare, hastily dressing, and then walked out of the library.
Buggy paid him no mind. He moved the chair behind the desk, sat down, and looked at the defiant Boa Hancock.
Buggy addressed her, "Let's talk!"
Boa Hancock scoffed, getting to her feet and raising her head haughtily. "Talk? I am the Pirate Empress! What makes you think you have the right to speak to me like that, Buggy?"
Buggy, with a confused expression, thought, "???"
Previously, after learning about Boa Hancock's past, Buggy had suspected her arrogant demeanor might be a facade to protect herself.
But after enduring her disdainful behavior repeatedly, Buggy couldn't tell if it was all an act or if she had truly changed.
But even if she had, there was a time and place for everything!
For a moment, Buggy felt like a prisoner in his own domain.
Boa Hancock, indifferent to Buggy's thoughts, continued coldly, "Buggy the Clown, I warn you, no matter what plans you have for Luffy, you'd better abandon any dangerous thoughts immediately! Otherwise—"
"Stop!" Buggy cut her off, no longer interested in the pointless exchange. "Boa Hancock, I suggest you leave your airs of Amazon Lily behind and understand your place before we continue!"
"I might allow you to call yourself a pirate empress, but if I must say, you're just a slave of the Celestial Dragons. You have no strength, no power—what are you even!"
Boa Hancock's eyes widened in shock, and her delicate form quivered slightly as she thought, "What are you talking about? I am the Empress of the Amazon Lily! I am not a slave of the Celestial Dragons!"
"Really?" Buggy sneered, and without hesitation, he revealed the scar on Boa Hancock's back. "You still bear the mark of Hoof of the Soaring Dragon!"
Fear flashed in Boa Hancock's eyes, as if she was reliving the torment from her childhood. She sank to the ground in weakness.
Seeing this, Buggy remarked nonchalantly, "So, can you speak properly now?"
Boa Hancock bowed her head in a daze, her body trembling uncontrollably. Fear had enveloped her, rendering her incapable of listening to anything.
Buggy, feeling helpless, had originally intended only to bring Boa Hancock down from her lofty arrogance, but he hadn't anticipated reducing her to such a state of utter vulnerability.
"Smack!"
A sharp slap echoed through the room as Buggy struck Boa Hancock's pristine face, leaving a bright red mark.
"Look at me!"
Buggy grasped Boa Hancock by the chin and lifted her head to face him directly.
He stared coldly into her slightly dazed eyes and said, "I don't care about your past, and I'm not here to tell you how to deal with it."
"But in my presence, you'd better curb that attitude!"
"You're now my possession, and I have no use for your behavior!"
Perhaps because Buggy's eyes showed no hint of mockery, pity, or disdain, Boa Hancock gradually regained her composure. Her expression of helplessness and fear slowly gave way to a cold determination.
Although the air was cold, it no longer held the arrogance it once did.
Buggy released his grip and nodded with satisfaction. "Very good, you're starting to show a bit of the Pirate Empress's flair!"
Boa Hancock ignored Buggy's praise and asked coldly, "How did you know about me?"
Buggy replied nonchalantly, "I know a lot of things. Your past isn't exactly a secret. After all, you weren't the only one Fisher Tiger rescued from Mariejois back then."
Hancock fell silent upon hearing this. If someone wanted to investigate her past, it wouldn't be hard to find out. Too many people knew about it.
Boa Hancock took a deep breath, her composure fully restored. She stared at Buggy with cold eyes. "Alright, what exactly do you want?"
Buggy laughed, clearly amused. "What do I want? Hancock, it seems like you've been bothering me all along. And now you're asking what I want? How embarrassing for you!"
Hancock was momentarily stunned, then recalled Buggy's words. Indeed, every time, she attacked him first and she ended up in this situation.
No, that's not right!
Buggy had attacked Luffy first!
Hancock quickly came to her senses, her gaze turning fierce. "You were the one who hurt Luffy first! You broke his leg! No matter who it is, anyone who dares to harm Luffy will have to answer to me!"
Buggy nodded indifferently. "Fair point, but I did make the first move on Luffy. What are you going to do about it? Can you defeat me? Or can you kill me?"
Hancock gritted her teeth and fell silent. If she could defeat Buggy, she wouldn't be in this predicament.
Buggy was somewhat taken aback by Hancock's reaction this time.
Usually, upon hearing such comments, Hancock would have reacted impulsively, but now she seemed to be assessing the situation.
This woman has a dual nature, and her intelligence seems to fluctuate!
What a complex individual!
Buggy shook his head slightly, dismissing any extraneous thoughts, and said calmly, "I can see that you care a lot about Luffy, but unfortunately, he's a simple-minded individual. He's been thoroughly influenced by Shanks and can't accommodate feelings for you."
Hancock was momentarily stunned and asked in confusion, "What do you mean by that?"
She had expected her rival to be Robin, the Devil Child, or Nami, the little thief, but she never anticipated Shanks would be involved!
Buggy chuckled and explained, "I mean it literally. Luffy's mind is filled with the 'freedom' instilled by Shanks, leaving no room for you."
Hancock's eyes flickered. Despite her current predicament, her intelligence was keen. She understood Luffy's nature well enough.
To put it nicely, he's straightforward; to put it less kindly, he's foolish!
But so what? That's what she loves about him!
Hancock glared at Buggy and declared, "I am simply someone who loves Luffy! For him, I am willing to give everything!"
A love-struck fool, indeed.
Buggy sighed inwardly but let a smile creep onto his face. "Well, if that's the case, you wouldn't want anything to happen to Luffy, would you?"
