The afternoon sun illuminated Miri's pale face as she shielded her eyes with her left hand to protect herself from the sun's rays. Deep in thought, she reflected on the situation she had recently observed.

"Oh, I'm so glad my shift for today is over. Since I'm already clean, I'll make my way to my room. I'm looking forward to my bed," she thought to herself. "My room may not be the biggest, but it's still my sanctuary where I can relax.
Even though my bed isn't the most comfortable and my room is quite small, fitting only a bed and a wardrobe, I can still be happy.

While maids are not allowed to move freely at night except to use the bathroom, she thought a little stroll wouldn't hurt.
Miri quietly left her room and slowly walked through the corridors, trying not to wake anyone. She reached the exit of the maids' sleeping quarters and went outside to take a little walk.

As Miri was happily enjoying the berries, she suddenly heard a voice calling out to her.
"Hello little kitten, are you even allowed to be outside at this time? Let me tell you something. Do you realize that you are committing theft right now, and I could kill you for it if I wanted to? But don't worry, little girl. I'm in a good mood today and won't kill anyone."
Miri slowly turned around with trembling legs, and the person speaking to her was Princess Yuki.
