"I want Zimo to visit his maternal grandparents for me," Madame Jiang smiled. "Old Madam shouldn't object, should she?"

"That is only right," the Old Madam reflected for a moment, then said, "But this matter, shouldn't it be mentioned to his father first?"

"I will write to the master about it," Madame Jiang turned to Nanny Cai and instructed, "Call Zimo and the others over, so Uncle Jiang can have a good look at them."

The Old Madam glanced at Madame Jiang, lowered her eyes, and said no more.

Madame Jiang couldn't be bothered with her.

Zuo Zimo and Zuo Xiangning were the first to arrive at Shian Hall, presenting their respects to Uncle Jiang with utmost deference.

Uncle Jiang took out two red pouches for them, "There are also some trinkets with your mother."

"Thank you, Uncle," Zuo Zimo and Zuo Xiangning warmly gathered around Uncle Jiang, inquiring about the wellbeing of the elder Jiangs and their cousins.
