Chapitre 41: Chapter 41: Spirit Grade Fire Seed

Light couldn't help but gaze toward Mrs. Tangyue's alluring figure. Mrs. Tangyue had an extremely delicate oval face, and her eyes were sharp and radiant, as though electricity surged within them. Her tall nose added a sensual elegance, and her small, red mouth was both fascinating and dangerous. Her skin was porcelain-like, white and smooth with a hint of rosiness. Even though her face was inches away from him, he could not find a single flaw.

Tangyue noticed the subtle yet unmistakable glint in Light's eyes. Her lips curled in displeasure, and with a sharp glare, she reprimanded him.

"If you dared to show such disrespect to a teacher in the past, you'd have been beaten to death," she said coldly.

"Mrs. Tangyue, it's hardly my fault. You're the one pressing me against a tree. If seducing a student was a crime in the past, you'd be soaked in a pig basket!" Light quipped, a mischievous grin playing on his lips.

Her face flushed with irritation, but she quickly composed herself. She released him with an angry huff. As soon as Tangyue let go, they both slid back into the shadows behind the trees. The air was thick with tension, both from their strange proximity and from the deadly silence that now surrounded them.

---

The Spirit Grade Fire Seed.

Light's attention was swiftly drawn back to the reason they were there. This legendary item was enough to make any Fire Element magician salivate at the sheer potential it offered. It was a rare opportunity to increase the potency of one's magic by absorbing and refining the elemental energy embedded within a seed produced by Heaven and Earth itself.

If Light could get his hands on it, his Fire Element abilities would surge to new heights. The Calamity had awakened something extraordinary within him, and this Spirit Grade Fire Seed might hold the key to fully unleashing it.

He could feel it — a new innate talent, something that defied his understanding of magic and power.

He named this newfound ability: Natural Born Base Spell Power x5.

Every spell he cast would now be five times more powerful than the standard version, with no additional cost. Moreover, any other method of enhancing his magic would stack on top of this innate talent. It was as though the universe itself had handed him a cheat code to unfathomable power.

Light was stunned by the implications. If he obtained the Spirit Grade Fire Seed, this combination could make him nearly unstoppable.

---

"The most common kind of Fire Soul Seed would still sell for 20 million RMB, and there'd be fierce bidding for it," Tangyue mused. "It's no wonder this criminal is willing to risk so much to chase it. The Spirit Grade Fire Seed could make any fire magician a powerhouse."

Light nodded, but another thought sparked in his mind.

"Hey, doesn't Mu Ningxue have an Innate Ice Soul Seed as well?"

Tangyue turned to him, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Yes, but hers is a special case. Some families, particularly noble or ancient ones, produce people who innately possess these elemental souls. Their awakened element is much stronger than normal people. Mu Ningxue's Innate Spirit Ice Seed is one of the most powerful types of Ice Seeds in existence. She awakened at thirteen and has been leagues ahead of her peers ever since."

Tangyue's tone grew more serious as she continued. "That kind of innate advantage isn't something you can buy. Her ice magic is three times stronger than a regular ice user's. When she casts a spell like Ice Spread: Cover, it can freeze an entire area in seconds. Against a horde of magical beasts, she'd obliterate them effortlessly."

Light absorbed the information in silence. It made sense why Mu Ningxue had such a revered reputation. Her Innate Spirit Ice Seed gave her a formidable edge. It explained why she was sought after by prestigious institutions like the Imperial Institute. But now, Light had his own path to power.

---

As they moved further into the forest, Tangyue cast a cautious glance around. "You should align yourself with a powerful faction. They'll give you access to resources that will ensure your future," she said, her voice low.

Light smirked. "You seem to come from an extraordinary background, Mrs. Tangyue. Why not take me under your wing? I'll follow your every command, even if it means facing death."

Tangyue's face flushed a deep red. "I dare you to try sweet-talking me again!" she snapped, but her glare softened just a little. She turned away, but Light could see the hint of a smile tugging at her lips.

---

They eventually arrived at the source of the river, a small reservoir intentionally dammed up. Yet, the reservoir had dried out, revealing dried fish bones scattered across its cracked bed. However, Light and Tangyue were not alone. They quickly noticed two distinct groups gathered at the reservoir.

The first group consisted of the Hunter Magicians they had encountered earlier: Pan Xiong, Scarface, Cowboy Man, and seven other comrades. The second group, newly arrived, radiated an air of authority and nobility. These were the elite magicians of the **Dongfang family**, known across the country for their mastery of fire magic.

"Pan Xiong, if you don't want to be begging in the streets, I suggest you leave now. The Dongfang family has laid claim to this Fire Soul Seed, and we don't share with others!" The leader of the Dongfang group, a man dressed in an elaborate Tang suit, stood tall and unbothered by the threats of the Hunter Magicians.

Tangyue frowned. "The Dongfang family... they're one of the top fire-element families in the country. It makes sense they would claim something like this in their territory. We need to be careful."

"What's the plan?" Light asked, his voice low and cautious.

Tangyue's expression turned steely. "We wait. No matter what happens, we'll take them down when the opportunity arises."

Light could sense the resolve in her voice. Despite the overwhelming odds, they were not backing down.

The air around the reservoir was thick with tension as the two groups squared off. Ten Hunter Magicians versus four elite members of the Dongfang family, all of whom were Intermediate Magicians. This wasn't just a scuffle over resources — it was a battle between factions that could reshape power dynamics.

The leader of the Dongfang group took a step forward, his eyes narrowing as he began casting. A Star Path emerged beneath his feet, glowing brightly as flames crackled around him.

"Fiery Fist: Exploding Heavens!" the man shouted, unleashing a massive fist of flames that barreled toward the Hunter Magicians.

The battle was chaotic. Flames roared as spells collided with the earth, igniting the dry brush. The air shimmered with heat and the scent of burning wood. Cowboy Man reacted quickly, casting **Rock Barrier** to defend against the incoming flames. A massive wall of stone erupted from the earth, absorbing the brunt of the attack. The fiery fist crashed into the barrier, sending a shockwave through the forest, but the stone wall held firm.

Scarface was already preparing his next spell. As Cowboy Man defended, Scarface called upon the winds, his Star Atlas forming beneath his feet. "Wind Disc: Tornado!" he bellowed, and a powerful gust of wind erupted from his hands, spiraling toward the Dongfang family members.

The Dongfang magicians barely had time to react. They hastily activated their magical tools, forming protective barriers, but the sheer force of the tornado knocked them off their feet.

The fight dragged on for ten grueling minutes. Both sides were battered, their robes torn, and their faces smeared with ash and dirt. The leader of the Dongfang family, his face contorted with rage, finally pulled out a **Deathstrike Magic Tool** — a last-resort weapon capable of decimating opponents.

In a single move, he shattered Cowboy Man's rock shield and sent the Hunter Magicians into disarray. Without their defense, the Hunters were forced to retreat.

The Dongfang family stood victorious, but their leader was far from satisfied. He raised a golden flame in his hand, his voice booming with authority.

"Leave now, or I will burn every one of you into ash!"

The threat hung in the air like the thick smoke that now blanketed the battlefield. The Hunter Magicians, beaten and bruised, had no choice but to flee.

Light and Tangyue, still hidden in the shadows, watched in silence.

"We'll move once they leave," Tangyue whispered.

Light nodded. He could feel his pulse quickening. The Fire Soul Seed was within their grasp. Now, it was only a matter of time.
