Just as he was getting lost in the intricate details, the door to his workshop flew open with a deafening crash.

Koros was taken off guard but managed to stay cool. His hands didn't falter; in a practiced motion, he powered down the device, cutting off its energy source.

He whipped around, ready to shout in frustration. "No. 1, didn't I teach you to knock?!"

A robotic voice answered, oddly human and tinged with fear. "Master, help me!"
