Chapitre 108: Final Goodbye

"It's Katherine's death anniversary." 

Evelyn regretted mentioning the date, cursing herself for forgetting such an important detail. It also was slightly understandable why Sabrina had been going crazy for the past few weeks, picking on Zevian whenever she had the chance since her daughter's fifth anniversary was just around the corner. 

Zevian sighed again and looked at the setting sun, his heart tightening with mixed emotions. For the first time in these suffocating five years, he wasn't feeling worse or blaming himself for whatever happened that day. And he was not sure if this was the right thing to do if he even deserved to think this way. 

Evelyn held onto his hand with both her hands, her touch, her mere presence calming the storm swirling within him. She gently caressed his hand and murmured, "Let's bid final goodbye to her."
