The Underworld?
'Now I understand why all the agents sent here died. None of them had the capabilities to survive more than a minute in this place,' thought Jonathan as he controlled his descent very slowly with his telekinesis.
The surroundings were dark, with bright particles floating in the air, and as he descended, he could see that this place was devoid of life. Fortunately, he had a few hours of oxygen; he didn't know if he could manage without air.
When he landed on the ground, he noticed more calmly that the site seemed much older than the modern age he came from. Besides, there weren't many notable things, only that there was no one alive.
'I highly doubt a common human could survive in this kind of hostile environment. I wonder how I'll find a way out of this place.' Jonathan wasn't anxious; he knew the answers would come to him much faster than expected.
Walking calmly through this place, he noticed that the year was 1980 and that there were many interesting things in this location, as it provided Jonathan with many of the answers he needed.
'I'm in the year 1980, which means I'm not in a parallel world of my own because I'm not in the space where I entered. If there's a dimensional hole, the probability of it being a parallel world is high, but knowing that I ended up in a different place, that theory is discarded.'
Crack!
Jonathan turned his head and encountered a horrendous, four-legged creature. This creature didn't seem to have any intention of attacking, but he knew it was an enemy. "Are you some kind of alien dog?"
Roooaarrr!!!
This creature stood two meters tall; the monster was tall and slender with a humanoid figure. Its head lacked facial features and was opened like a flower to reveal nothing but sharp teeth.
Jonathan was excited; this thing was the same as what was coming out of the portal he entered, so he knew what would happen. "Tell me, where can I find an exit?"
The humanoid monster roared loudly, then began to run in Jonathan's direction while he toyed with a long knife, waiting for it to make a move.
Crack!
At that moment, Jonathan didn't make any move, but he wouldn't wait to be attacked either, so with his mental power, he sent the monster flying hundreds of meters away, crashing into a ruined house.
When the monster stood up, it was furious, wanting to find Jonathan and tear him to pieces. However, when it returned to the place where it encountered the young human, it saw nothing.
Rooaaarrr!!!
The monster roared in fury upon seeing that the human had disappeared.
In the distance, Jonathan's eyes were filled with intense killing intent.
If someone wanted to kill him, he always retaliated with all his strength. But right now, Jonathan knew that the investigation was much more important than anything else.
Right now?
He never imagined that, after defeating a powerful superhuman, he would find himself in a completely unknown dimension. This was not a parallel world to his own; this place was a different world and also devoid of humans.
"What a strange aberration is here..." Jonathan smiled as he watched the monster run off. "I'm sure if I follow that thing, I can find answers."
Jonathan, who was at the top of a large tree, disappeared from the place and reappeared at a completely new site. Here, there was a cabin, and that monster seemed to be observing something inside.
'Your mom is coming for you.'
"Tell her to hurry..."
"Just hold on; your mother is coming."
"Will? Will!"
Outside the cabin, Jonathan was thoughtful with the sounds from inside, as this was the only source of a human voice he could recognize.
Crack!
At that moment, Jonathan wasn't the only one who noticed the human voice, but also the alien dog. "I guess I'll have to act."
When that alien dog was about to attack the small cabin, Jonathan moved very quickly, and this time, using a knife, he appeared beside the deformed figure. He grabbed it by the nape and, with a twist in the air, cut off its head.
All this happened in just a few seconds; Jonathan didn't give this monster any time to attack.
The sudden noise outside startled the boy named Will inside, but this didn't matter to Jonathan because as soon as he killed the monster, he wiped the blood off his knife with his suit.
"Is anyone inside? You can come out; I think it's safe."
However, before he could continue speaking, a new presence appeared out of nowhere, biting his right arm. This sudden attack annoyed Jonathan, who seemed to be adapting to the sensations of this place, and reacting quickly, with a strike of his hand, the monster's head exploded into pieces.
Boom!
The sudden explosion surprised Will, who had stood up from where he was cornered.
He knew there was a person outside but also the presence of numerous monsters, so he wanted to alert the boy who was speaking to him.
"Damn, that horrid dog ripped off my hand." Jonathan raised his arm, which was bleeding profusely, but moments later, visually, his regenerative power restored his arm intact.
When Will came out, he looked at Jonathan patently at one of those things that had been chasing him for days, and the only thing he could think to ask was, "Who are you?"
