Chapitre 15: CH 12: Alistair VS Jade P3
Alistair :"Did you know there's actually a scientific name for when you can't sleep and need to eat?"
Jade :"Seriously? What's the name?"
Alistair "It's called insomnomnomnomnia."
That pulled a snicker from her.

"This trap is activated when you attack." She grinned :"And guess what? When this trap is activated, you pick a card from my hand, and if it's a monster, I can special summon it! And since there's only one card in my hand, there aren't really many options. So say hello to Elemental HERO Sparkman!"

As she put the card on the ground, small sparks of electricity surged through it before Sparkman emerged with a battle cry and got into a defensive pose.
'She missed the timing, but whatever.' Alistair shrugged to himself :"Alright then. Now my Malevolent Sin's effect activates. If this card has attacked, I can increase his ATK by 300 and level by 3.
[Number 70: Malevolent Sin: Lv 4/ 2,400 ATK -> Lv 7/ 2,700 ATK]
And during my End Phase, the effect of my Ruffian Railcar activates. If this card is in my graveyard, it lets me add one Lv 10 Earth monster from my deck to my hand. So I'll add Super Express Bullet Train. Then I end my turn."

'Alright, deck, it's all or nothing! I've got no cards in my hand, and the only cards on my field are Sparkman and Skyscraper! Please give me the card I need!' She drew, and her face lit up :"Oh, yeah! That's what I'm talking about! I activate Pot of Greed! Which lets me-"
"And I activate the effect Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring from my hand!" Alistair gave her a giant grin, slamming Ash Blossom's card to the card as if he had won the lottery :"And this card's Quick Effect lets me discard it from my hand to negate any effect that would let you add a card from your deck to your hand! So put that thing away!"
'Ash Blossom, baby! Never leave your home without three copies of her! Thank God I added this from my Branded Deck, or who knows what cards she would have drawn.'
"Wait, what?!" Jade's eyes widened as a girl in a white dress floated from Alistair's card to Pot of Greed and around it, leaving cherry blossom leaves in her path while giggling before she went back to her card.
'Hehehehe, boy!' He laughed Andrew Garfield style :'I may not be able to stop plot armor from making her lucky, but I sure as hell can fucking negate it!'
"Aww, man..." She whined, but put Pot of Greed in her graveyard reluctantly :"Then... I guess I just end my turn..."
"Uh uh uh! Not before I activate the face-down I set last turn!" Alistair laughed smugly :"Compulsory Evacuation Device! This trap returns one monster to the hand! So, farewell, Sparkman."

"What?! Oh, come on!" Jade whined even harder, pouting intensely :"Now I don't have any monsters to defend me either... And stop laughing already!"

He laughed even harder :"Sure! As soon as I win this! Draw. Ohohoho, this is good! Next, I'll tribute both my Heart-eartH and Malevolent Sin in order to tribute summon Heavy Freight Train Derricrane!"

With a choo-choo, the big train appeared and drove around his card before coming to a stop. Alistair placed another card next to it :"And since all monsters I control are Earth attribute Machine monsters, I can also special summon the card I added with Ruffian Railcar's effect, Super Express Bullet Train."

"Whoa, 3,000 ATK?! Just like that?!" Her eyes widened :"Geez, I'm really done for now." As she sighed, he snickered :"Yeah, it is awesome, but I didn't want it on the field for its ATK, but for its level. Since I've got 2 Lv 10 monsters on the field, I can Contact Fusion Summon Number 35: Ravenous Tarantula!"

"Geez, what's with you and spiders?" Jade mumbled. With a screech, Ravenous Tarantula crawled out of her card, confusing Jade :"Wait, 0 ATK and Def points? Why would you sacrifice those monsters for this?"
"Hey, don't just look at my raw power! My effect rocks!" Ravenous Tarantula took offense, and Jade quickly apologized :"I-I didn't mean that! I'm sorry, I was just asking what was special about you!"
"Hmph, that's fine then. Master, please explain to her." She crossed two legs comically, much to Alistair's amusement before he explained :"As she just said, although she doesn't have much raw power, her effect is pretty neat.
All my monsters, including her, gain ATK and Def points equal to the difference between our life points. But as sweet as that is, it's not why she's here.
Because when I have a Lv 10 or 11 DARK fusion monster on the field, I can use it as a single contact fusion material to fusion summon this! Number 77: The Seven Sins!"

"4,000?! And I thought Draglubion was your boss monster!" Jade's mouth fell agape at the little monstrosity that crawled out of her card with a mighty screech and a scoff :"Yeah, girl. Now you know who's the boss monster of this deck."
"And you're gonna know exactly why. Seven Sins, attack her directly!" He smirked, with the Seven Sins giving a nasty smile :"Leave it to me! SHAAA!!"
And as she crawled towards Jade creepily, she had half the mind to not just run away. Afraid or not, anybody would freak out if a big spider started sprinting at them.
But when she slashed at her and she didn't feel anything, she sighed in relief. But her life points going down to zero caused her to sigh in disappointment.

"Aww, man, I lost." Jade sighed before smiling :"But hey, that was a sweet duel, Al! I can't wait to do it again!"
"Neither can I." They fist pumped with smiles :"We should definitely duel again later." It was nice to know that even though she lost, she still cared about the fun of the duel more than about the outcome.
"You betcha!" Jade grinned with determination :"And believe me, next time, I'll be the winner!"
Alistair rolled his eyes playfully :"Of course you will. By the way, wanna take a look at what cards you could have drawn with Pot of Greed?"
She pouted :"Are you trying to run salt on the wound, you jerk?"
He chuckled :"No, no. I'm honestly curious."
After a thoughtful look, she shrugged :"Sure, why not?"
But after taking the two cards on top of her deck, she groaned loudly :"Oh, come on! I was about to draw just the cards to win too! God dang it!"
Coming to her side to take a look, Alistair sighed in relief :'Hahahaha, good thing I negated that, or there really –was– a chance of me losing.'
The cards she was about to draw were Fusion Recovery and Elemental HERO Clayman. The cards she needed to wipe his field clean. Jade put her chin on her palm :"With Fusion Recovery, I would have brought back Polymerization and either Avian or Burstinatrix.
Then I would have fused Sparkman and Clayman to fusion summon Elemental HERO Thunder Giant, then use his effect to discard the card I brought back to destroy Heart-eartH.
With him out of the way, I would have attacked Malevolent Sin. And since Thunder Giant's ATK points were less than Malevolent Sin, Skyscraper would have increased his ATK by 1,000. You would take 700 damage, and would only have 200 LP left.
Haaah, if only you hadn't negated that, I would have won..." She sighed depressingly, but Alistair shook his head with a smile :"Not necessarily. After all, I wasn't defenseless either.
Keep in mind, my Compulsory Evacuation Device could still get rid of your Thunder Giant even before he could cause any damage. And even if not that, I still have another set card, remember?"
"Huh? Oh, you're right. You never played that, so I forgot about it." She looked at the card he showed her :"Mystical Space Typhoon. This card is a Quick-Play Spell, so I would have been able to destroy Skyscraper, so your Thunder Giant would still be weaker than my Malevolent Sin. Then I would have won the next turn, since you would be left defenseless."
"Ooh, I see." She hummed, before her eyes widened :"Wait, if you could destroy my Skyscraper from the get go, then why didn't you destroy it before Flame Wingman destroyed your Draglubion?! Your life points wouldn't be decreased by 3,000 then!"
He shrugged with a smile :"I told you, I wanted to experience how being on the edge but pulling through felt again. That's why I let you destroy Draglubion. Sorry if you don't like that."
Seeing him rub his nape apologetically, she smiled :"Oh, well, as long as you had fun, I'm happy too." Before laying down on the ground :"I guess there really wasn't a way for me to win this, huh?"
'Resist the urge, Ali, resist the urge...' He took a deep breath as his eyes unintentionally moved to the breasts right next to him. With sheer willpower, he moved his eyes back to her beautiful face :"Nope. And because even if you had wiped my field, I could still bring back Seven Sins. Look."
He revealed Yellow Gadget, the card he had drawn when he had special summoned Red Gadget at the start :"I could first summon this, then my Heavy Freight Train Derricrane's effect would activate.
See, when an Earth attribute Machine is summoned, Derricrane can be special summoned with it, but original ATK and Def would be halved.
Then since all my monsters would be Earth attribute Machines, I would bring out Super Express Bullet Train, then fuse them to summon Ravenous Tarantula, then fuse her to summon Seven Sins.
Then I would attack, and by dealing exactly 1,600 points of damage, I would win. So, yeah, I would win either way. It was a very fun duel though. Thanks for dueling me."
She smiled and fist bumped him with her delicate hand again :"You're welcome, pal. But keep in mind, I'll win next time."
