"That is not what this story is about," he said, turning to face her, and they both sat staring at each other, each holding the words they wished to say but couldn't.

"Yes, but answer the question, how would you feel?" She insisted and repeated, putting him in a difficult position.

"The question is irrelevant to the story, so I will not answer it," Elias responded. 

"You can not even answer it because you do not completely trust her, right?" Pushing him to the brink, she probed, smirking triumphantly at him.

"And why do you sound so confident?" He raised one of his brows at her and smirked as she became speechless.

"I was just asking," finding an excuse, she said and eyed him.

"It may sound as if you resent her," Elias said, and she scoffed in surprise. She would never envy a dead woman.

"You wish," she spat, turning to face Lili. "Ask us the questions," she demanded.
