"What? I was only answering his questions, please do not make me look bad." She rolled her eyes at him, feigning ignorance. Why was he reprimanding her when it was his son who wanted to know things he shouldn't?

"Daddy, does Tessa mean I have to do something naughty like you two to have an heir?" Benjamin's question caused everyone to choke on their food.

"See," Tessa said, pointing her hands at him as if trying to clear her name.

Elias stared blankly at her before shifting his gaze to Benjamin. "You do not need to worry about having an heir right now, you are still young enough." Explaining things.

"Okay Daddy," Benjamin smiled and continued eating.

Veronica could not keep the mischievous smile off her face, and it quickly spread across her cheeks. She purposefully allowed Benjamin to ask questions so she could see how good Tessa was with children. Aside from her blunt manner of speaking, Tessa appeared to be a good stepmother for Benjamin.
