Dana's voice sliced through the tense air like a razor. "Can you move? I need to pass," she said, her tone deceptively calm.

The man in front of her sniffed the air, his expression turning puzzled. "It's just too strong. I can smell it all over you. Where is the human?"

"Get out of my way, or you won't have your head attached to your neck again," Dana growled, locking eyes with him, her fury barely contained.

Alina, standing beside Dana, remained silent, unsure of what to do next. She glanced nervously at Dana, her heart pounding.

"Please don't be offended by my comrade," the man said, attempting to defuse the situation. "He's just a little extra. But we're curious. How do you have the scent of a human around you when we can't seem to find any? It's just so bizarre."

"Well, I don't care, and I don't feel like explaining myself to you," Dana replied coldly.

"Maybe not to us, but to our Alpha," the man retorted.
