Chapitre 37: Chapter 37: You have successfully conquered the Goblin Tribe

The so-called purification of body and soul, in plain terms, means burning right where you stand.

The Goblin Chief's face was a sight for sore eyes. There was anger, and there was fear.

He knew all too well the formidable power of the Angelic Flame.

His only mastery of the advanced elemental fire magic, the "Fire Dragon Technique," was instantly extinguished by the Angel's Holy Flame in a clash of fires.

If it were him, he'd definitely be reduced to ashes.

How could a mere flesh and blood body withstand the burning of the fire of faith?

The Goblin Chief even doubted that Virginia was bluffing; the Angelic Flame could incinerate the body and extinguish the soul at the same time.

He sensed a terrifying power of obliteration within the Holy Flame.

Such power made his soul tremble in fear.

Without a soul, he couldn't even become an undead.

The Goblin Chief really wanted to resist, but he knew he was no match for these Angels, a conclusion he drew from the recent battle.

If he resisted, there was a high chance he'd be surrounded and killed.

After a moment of silence, the Goblin Chief, with a defeated look, said, "You've won. I can hand over the Tribe to you, and I promise not to take anything with me, just let me leave."

He was not like Lenn's uncle among the Goblins. He was a ninth-level professional.

One more step, and he would be a king-level powerhouse.

With his strength, he could easily survive alone in this jungle, or even venture into the world beyond.

Once he broke through his shackles and stepped into king-level, he would soar high, thriving anywhere.

Under these circumstances, why would he ever want to become a follower of an evil god?

Giving up the Tribe was already his bottom line.

Unfortunately, this was his own bottom line, irrelevant to Virginia and the others.

Without any negotiation, Virginia, Janet, Carolyn, and Ruth, four seventh-level Angels, immediately surrounded the Goblin Chief, blocking all his escape routes.

The Goblin Chief exclaimed in horror, "What are you doing? I've already promised to hand over the Tribe, why won't you let me go?"

"We've already conquered this Tribe, we don't need your consent."

Virginia held the Angel's Sword at an angle, the blade blazing fiercely: "Now you have two choices, either believe in our Lord and redeem yourself, or be purified by the Holy Flame."

The Goblin Chief turned his head and saw a group of Goblins kneeling on the ground.

Under the watch of a group of Goblin believers, no Tribe Goblin dared to make a move, all obediently submissive.

Meanwhile, the Goblins' warriors who were attacked by the Angel squad were down to three, all disarmed and surrendered, no longer resisting.

Among them was an eighth-level Goblin leader.

With all his people captured, the Tribe's warriors either dead or surrendered, he was now utterly alone.

But even so, the Goblin Chief's stance was still defiant, he gritted his teeth and said, "I will not bow my head to any evil god..."

"Then you shall die."

Before the words fell, Virginia and the others rushed towards the Goblin Chief.

The Goblin Chief erupted, frantically waving his elemental staff, releasing a series of fiery and highly destructive fire elemental magics, trying to repel the Angels while looking for a breakthrough.

However, he soon despaired.

Because many more Angels appeared near the battlefield.

These Angels, although only fifth and sixth level, were enough to cut off his escape route...

Boom...

Another flame dragon was slain explosively. The intense fire surged in all directions, igniting some nearby Tribe buildings.

Under the fierce blaze, the figure of the Goblin Chief was in utter disarray. Although he was not critically injured, most of his magical power had been depleted, and he could feel his strength rapidly diminishing.

An Elementalist without magic was hardly stronger than an ordinary person, especially on such a battlefield. Once his magic was exhausted, any nearby Angel could easily kill him.

"Wait."

"I surrender."

Finally, the Goblin Chief felt fear and shouted his surrender. Compared to death, compared to having his soul purified, worshipping a malevolent god seemed more acceptable.

However, Virginia and the others turned a deaf ear.

Their Angel Swords, ablaze with golden flames, danced continuously in their hands, slashing brilliant cross-shaped sword lights.

"No..."

The Goblin Chief cried out in despair. He swung his staff trying to defend himself, but it was futile. He couldn't escape.

In the next instant, he was engulfed by the cross-shaped sword lights amidst his despair and horror.

Puff, puff, puff...

Several sword lights pierced through the Goblin Chief's body, leaving deep sword marks half a meter into the ground.

The Goblin Chief's eyes bulged, and his body stiffened in place. His life force was rapidly draining, but he didn't die immediately because the sword lights were so sharp that they didn't even draw a drop of blood as they sliced through his body.

"Why, why?" The Goblin Chief looked incredulously at Virginia and the others, hovering in mid-air. He didn't understand. He had been ready to surrender. He had even shouted it out, but these Angels did not spare him. Was he, a powerful Level 9 Elementalist, not even comparable to those ordinary Goblins?

Virginia looked down at the Goblin Chief, her beautiful face showing a cold expression: "Heretics who blaspheme our Lord do not deserve the protection of the Holy Light."

The Goblin Chief was stunned. It seemed he had indeed referred to these Angels' Lord of Holy Light as a malevolent god. Realizing this, he felt immense regret, but it was too late.

At that moment, intense pain spread throughout his body. The Goblin Chief opened his mouth as if to say something, but it was too late; his body collapsed like a stack of blocks. Limbs and flesh scattered across the ground.

At the same time, a golden glowing blueprint fell out...

"Chief..."

Inside the tribe, Goblins were wailing in grief.

The sacrifice of the Goblin Chief deeply saddened them, filling them with sorrow.

Setting aside the fact that the Goblin Chief's attempt to surrender had failed, they felt that he had sacrificed himself for the tribe's honor and the dignity of all Goblins.

He deserved an honorable farewell.

"What are you blubbering about?"

Clang, clang, clang...

Swords were placed on the shoulders of the sobbing tribe Goblins.

Instantly, the crying stopped.

The entire tribe fell silent.

All the Goblins obediently knelt down, none daring to cry.

"Ruth, gather the tribe's Goblins."

"Carolyn, you lead a team of Angels to clean up the battlefield. The rest of the Angels, come with me to purify the souls of these tribe Goblins and spread our Lord's faith."

Commands flowed from Virginia's mouth.

The battle for the tribe was over, and it was time for the cleanup.

...

On the edge of the Territory.
